世界经济进入低速增长时期,中国经济进入结构调整的深水区.为化解产能过剩的困局,促进亚欧区域经济合作进程,实现各国互利共赢的全球梦与中国梦,习总书记提出"一带一路"发展战略,大力推进国际经济合作.中东欧地区是"一带一路"的重要区域,波兰拥有中东欧地区最大的国内市场,中波经济合作的成败关系到"16+1"合作的成败,更影响着"一带一路"倡议落实的顺利与否.本文在"一带一路"倡议的背景下,详细分析中波经济合作的成就与挑战,并提出相关政策建议.

浅谈某坡地建筑地下室抗浮设计

随着城镇化进程的加快,为适应城市建设的需要,解决用地紧张的和储备土地的不足,许多建筑开始向山区坡地地带发展,充分利用尚未开发的山坡地。与相对平坦的地下结构相比,因坡地的地形起伏变化较大,地下水位变化也较大,季节性雨水使得水位发生变动,勘察资料提供的抗浮水位与实际水位相差甚远,为工程设计带来困难。本文通过对某坡地学校教学楼项目进行坡地地下室抗浮设计相关说明,主要包括地下水位的确定,抗浮措施的选择及相关抗浮设计。

The trace of the scaled covariance matrix of the multivariate t-distribution is considered for estimation using a power transformation. The proposed estimator always dominates the usual maximum likelihood estimator in the sense of having smaller risk under a quadratic loss function. Facilitating the development of a global mindset through a cultural experience

The current article describes an assignment utilized in an undergraduate course “Leadership in a Global Society.” The assignment requires students to participate in a cultural experience and interview the leader of the event. Student feedback collected over several semesters indicates that the assignment was invaluable in helping students understand people from cultures different than the ones with which they normally identify. Furthermore, students reported gaining a better understanding of themselves and a willingness to seek out other cultural learning opportunities.     

Towards a theory of the labor market with a public sector

The object is to specify and analyze equilibrium in a labor market with frictions when there is a significant public sector. In the vast majority of equilibrium studies on labor markets, a public sector has been ruled out by assumption. This seems a strange oversight as about 17% of workers in the US are public sector workers, whereas in western Europe, approximately 22% of workers work in the public sector. The goal in this study is to provide answers to such questions as: what happens to private sector wages if the public sector is increased? If the Government increases the number of public sector jobs, does this crowd out private sector jobs? When will private sector wages be greater (less) than the public sector wage? Reasonably complete answers to these questions (and others) are provided within the context of the model developed.     

Defining and measuring the development of a country over time: a proposal of a new index

This paper introduces the concept of harmonic growth as an extended acceptation of the notion of development, and discusses its measurement via the Harmonic Growth Index (HGI). The growth is seen as harmonic when the behaviour of a benchmark time series, which here is a measure of wealth, such as per capita GDP, is followed by a similar pattern in socio-economic series. Unlike most widely used indicators in the literature, which take into account the measurement of development over a single time, HGI measures the degree to which a social indicator’s time series pattern matches with the GDP’s. The index is a function, ranging in [0, 1], of the coefficients of the uniform B-splines fitted to each time series, according to the functional data framework. A case study on Mediterranean welfare countries (Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain), in the period 1996–2007, shows critical differences in the selected indicators which can be ascribed to their dissimilar specific development models. HGI can be also considered as a general index to measure the similarity between time patterns, or as an alternative to correlation for (non-necessarily linear) time series.
