Quality Function Deployment (QFD) has been used to translate customer needs and wants into technical design requirements in order to increase customer satisfaction. QFD utilizes the house of quality (HOQ), which is a matrix providing a conceptual map for the design process, as a construct for understanding Customer Requirements (CRs) and establishing priorities of Design Requirements (DRs) to satisfy them. Some methodological issues occurring in the conventional HOQ are discussed, and then a new integrative decision model for selecting an optimal set of DRs is presented using a modified HOQ model. The modified HOQ prioritization procedure employs a multi-attribute decision method for assigning relationship ratings between CRs and DRs instead of a conventional relationship rating scale, such as 1–3–9. The proposed decision model has been applied to an indoor air quality improvement problem as an illustrative example.  相似文献

质量功能配置(QualityFunctionDeployment,QFD),是能在产品开发及生产的各个阶段,将顾客要求转化为合理的技术要求的整体概念。在实施QFD的过程中,确定消费者的要求权重是一个关键而不可缺少的步骤。本文将模糊一致矩阵引入层次分析中,通过建立模糊一致矩阵来确定QFD中消费者要求权重。由于模糊一致矩阵更符合人们在决策过程中的心理特性,因此,它能提高确定消费者的要求权重的准确性。最后,用一个实例阐述了这种方法在QFD中确定消费者的要求权重中的应用。  相似文献

Quality function deployment (QFD) is comprised of two major group decision-making processes. One is to collect the customer requirements from a group of customers, whereas the other is to determine the relationship between customer requirements and technical measures by a cross-functional team. Generally, different and/or even subjective opinions are quite often in a group decision-making process due to the limitations of experience and impreciseness. Obviously, the importance of each customer requirement and the relationship between customer requirements and technical measures are determined by a group of people with imprecision and vagueness. Under such circumstances, a fuzzy group decision-making approach can be applied in QFD to deal with a group decision-making process when the information is imprecise and fuzzy. Moreover, an example is provided as well as the computational steps to show this fuzzy group decision-making approach can be effectively used in QFD to make decisions with imprecision and vagueness.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to improve the quality function deployment (QFD) method by utilizing requirements of both the major customer and the service provider. The QFD method was first applied to the shipbuilding industry and the main goal of the method is to improve the production processes by using customer requirements in connection with the related technical measures of the product. However, one of the critical criticisms of the QFD is based on the lack of proper budget assessment and the satisfaction of the producer (or service provider). The multi-layer QFD design is proposed to collect responses from both customer and the service provider so as to ensure satisfaction of all parties including financial feasibility of the intended improvements. Quality function deployment (QFD) has been developed by Toyota Motor Corporation in order to reduce time and shorten design times. QFD is composed of a set of matrices referred to as the house of quality (HOQ). A HOQ matrix can help the cross-functional team to translate customer requirements (CRs) into engineering goals. The importance of CRs and the relationships between CRs and technical characteristics (TCs) are obtained by a group of people with vague and fuzzy decision-making processes in the HOQ. In the conditions, a group decision-making method by using the combination of fuzzy set theory and genetic algorithms (GAs) can be used in QFD to determine the importance of each TC. Besides, a numerical example is illustrated to show that this group decision-making method by using the combination of fuzzy set theory and GAs can be reliably and precisely applied in QFD including TCs at the two-level hierarchy with the consideration of some constraints regarding budget and time limits of TCs for prioritizing TCs to effectively make decisions with fuzziness and ambiguousness.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to apply fuzzy quality function deployment (QFD) model to identify solutions of service delivery system (SDS) for port of Kaohsiung from the viewpoints of customers. At first, to facilitate the main issue of the QFD problem, however, the ‘what’ question of customer needs and ‘how’ problem of the services have to be made, which are two major components and be emphasized on the house of quality (HOQ) matrices. In conjunction with fuzzy sets theory, hence, the systematic procedures using fuzzy QFD were proposed in this paper. Subsequently, a case study for port of Kaohsiung demonstrated the systematic appraisal process for identifying solutions of SDS. The results of empirical study show that (1) 10 key factors are deemed as to have priority to improve the quality of SDS for Kaohsiung port; and (2) eight feasible solutions for improving service quality performance are identified. Moreover, it is suggested that port Authority of Kaohsiung should listen attentively the voice of customers and emphasize on exploiting these customer requirements effectively. And then develop the ‘how’ issues of profiles of solutions, which should continuously strengthen the perspectives of customer, internal business process, and learning and growth, respectively.  相似文献

As a national project of Japan, plans for the relocation of several government agencies out of Tokyo have been ongoing. This paper is concerned with the problem of site selection for this project. The National Land Agency, the agency responsible for this project, has declared that the process of site selection should be rational, open to the public and easily understandable. In an effort to meet these requirements, we propose a consensus-making method for reaching a group decision, based on a combination of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the Assurance Region model of data envelopment analysis (DEA). Several strategic uses of these methodologies, e.g., Delphi procedures, are also discussed. Based on these analyses, the “Wise Men” Committee for deciding the best site has chosen two from among ten contenders, one from the North-East and the other from the Central part of Japan, as candidates for the best relocation site. We could not discriminate between the two with respect to the multiple criteria chosen for evaluating sites. The Committee recommended the two sites to the Prime Minister at the end of December 1999. The Prime Minister reported this conclusion to the Diet. This topic is currently the focus of political discussions in the Diet. In this report, the authors summarize the decision-making processes that the Wise Men Committee followed, putting emphasis on the methodological aspects.  相似文献

This paper develops and applies an integrated multiple criteria decision making approach to optimize the facility location-allocation problem in the contemporary customer-driven supply chain. Unlike the traditional optimization techniques, the proposed approach, combining the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the goal programming (GP) model, considers both quantitative and qualitative factors, and also aims at maximizing the benefits of deliverer and customers. In the integrated approach, the AHP is used first to determine the relative importance weightings or priorities of alternative locations with respect to both deliverer oriented and customer oriented criteria. Then, the GP model, incorporating the constraints of system, resource, and AHP priority is formulated to select the best locations for setting up the warehouses without exceeding the limited available resources. In this paper, a real case study is used to demonstrate how the integrated approach can be applied to deal with the facility location-allocation problem, and it is proved that the integrated approach outperforms the traditional cost-based approach.  相似文献

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a systematic approach that considers customer needs through design, production, marketing, and support stages. Customer needs are the main input for QFD, so voice of customer must be understood well and changes, innovations, and treatments must be held in this view. In QFD applications, determining the priorities of customer needs is a fairly important stage. This is mostly held by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) a multicriteria decision making technique. Nonetheless, Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) is an aggregation technique mostly used in decision making for multicriteria decision problems. So, combining these two techniques will give a different viewpoint for prioritizing the customer needs in QFD applications. The aim of this study is to show the use of Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) aggregation technique in QFD applications. For this purpose a case study in Dokuz Eylül University Textile Engineering Department was held. Quality function deployment (QFD) has helped many firms realize significant reduction in product design costs and development time. The QFD process includes ranking customer preferences, rating the competitors, and parts deployment for the new/improved product. Prior to this research, such activities have been performed based on expert opinion, or the “best-in-class” approach. We develop and solve optimization models for the identification of consensus rankings and ratings, that take into account the priorities and perceptions of all the customers in a target market. Then, based on the consensus rankings, we identify a parts mix for the new/improved product that satisfies a budget constraint and matches or exceeds the performance expectations of all customers surveyed in the target market. Finally, we show how the QFD charts can be used to identify competitors that are falsely perceived as superior, as well as areas where the firm's marketing strategies have had the desired effects. Such insights are useful in developing the future marketing strategy of the firm.  相似文献

This paper investigates the application of a PCA–DEA model to assess the quality of life (QOL) scores in Estonian counties and analyses the model's results. The dataset is a balanced panel of 15 Estonian counties covering the period from 2000 to 2011. We consider a PCA–DEA model as an alternative method to estimate and predict QOL scores and rankings of Estonian counties. The method consists of a two-stage analysis that begins with a principal component analysis. In the second stage, the standard DEA is used. The results from the conventional DEA model and the PCA–DEA model are compared and discussed. A comparison of the methodologies demonstrates that a PCA–DEA model provides a powerful tool for performance ranking. The rankings of Estonian counties using QOL scores for different model specifications are presented. Finally, the QOL ranking of Estonian counties is revised using PCA–DEA.  相似文献

Customer loyalty is one of the core values for business success in beauty industry; however, there is insufficient research on weighing the importance of critical factors contributing to customer loyalty for the industry. This study, for the first time, investigates and ranks empirically the critical factors contributing to O2O specific customer loyalty in beauty industry by using Analytical Hierarchical Process. Results show that customer satisfaction, customer’s perceived switching costs, customer trust, corporate image and customer value positively influence O2O specific customer loyalty (in decreasing order of importance). Attributes contributing to the five critical factors have also been studied and ranked.  相似文献

Selecting the best construction contractor plays a critical role in the success of any construction project. Moreover, in the public sector, the traditional lowest bid method is still broadly used and contracts are often awarded based on the lowest price. However, this method has been criticized by many researchers because even if it might guarantee the lowest cost for a project, it does not guarantee the maximum value in terms of time and quality. More particularly, the risk exposure during the tendering process is usually very high and the success of the construction project is strongly related to managing this risk in an appropriate way. Therefore, the selection of the most appropriate contractor should be based on a set of criteria such as technical capability, financial stability, risk, safety, etc., in addition to cost in order to avoid problems that may happen after the contract is awarded. This study aims therefore to develop a decision making framework (DMF) to assist the public organizations in selecting the most appropriate construction contractor(s). The proposed DMF uses a combination of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) tools and fuzzy logic theory and consists of three stages. In the first stage, data envelopment analysis (DEA) is used to reduce the number of contractors, based on multiple criteria, such that only efficient contractors are considered. In the second stage, the risk factors that are related to each efficient contractor are identified and assessed using a fuzzy logic based approach. Finally, in the third stage, a bi-objective mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model is developed to select the best contractor(s) based on cost and risk and to determine the optimal quantity of work to be assigned to each selected contractor. Indeed, the proposed approach considers the multiple award contract case in which more than one contractor can be selected to share the amount of work to be performed. We assume that prior to using the proposed DMF, a pre-qualification study is conducted using multiple criteria chosen by the public organization, and only pre-qualified contractors are included in the first stage of the proposed DMF. Moreover, a case study inspired from the contractor selection process in a public organization in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is used to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献
