动物疾病防控的经济学研究综述

本文就动物卫生经济学的发展以及其主要研究方法等进行综述,并提出了动物疾病防控经济学分析方法的发展方向,最后简要说明了经济学分析对我国动物疾病防控的借鉴意义。

A Selective Review of the Economic Analysis of Animal Health Management

Economists and veterinarians use similar approaches to analyse animal health threats, but veterinarians are concerned primarily with providing practical guidelines to peers and/or policy‐makers, while economists focus more on understanding the benefits to society as a whole and often provide only general guidelines to policy‐makers and little specific direction to practicing veterinarians. Despite the benefits of working together, differences in perspective and analytical approach often cause economists and veterinarians to struggle in dialogue and to lose some of the mutual gains that could be achieved through collaboration. This article discusses the use of economics in animal health management, identifies several useful literature reviews, and analyses a number of recent studies to explore the advantages and disadvantages of different conceptual and methodological approaches.     

农林经济管理专业办学效果评估分析

基于对北京林业大学、中国农业大学、东北林业大学、东北农业大学、华中农业大学、华南农业大学、四川农业大学等七所农林院校发放问卷得到的统计数据整理和分析,建立评估指标体系并运用模糊评价方法,得出了该专业办学效果属于一般的结论。就此提出了相关建议:制定符合市场需求的人才方案、构建科学专业课程体系、明确专业科学研究方向、提高专业人才就业能力水平,突出农林经济管理专业特色和加强实验教学和实践性教学。     

A Laboratory Science Approach to Teaching in the Agricultural Economics Curriculum

We argue that economic laboratory experiments can facilitate active learning of theory in the agricultural economics curriculum by placing students in decision-making roles. Three types of experimental protocols are described, along with a discussion of the costs and benefits of experiments. The Double Auction Experiment provides a platform for demonstrating concepts of equilibrium, price discovery, externalities, excess supply, surplus, and speculation. The Monopoly Experiment is a platform for demonstrating concepts of advance production, inventory carryover, monopoly pricing, and search strategies. The Oligopoly Experiment is a platform for demonstrating concepts of thin markets, coordination, and imperfectly competitive equilibria.     

Does Animal Feeding Operation Pollution Hurt Public Health? A National Longitudinal Study of Health Externalities Identified by Geographic Shifts in Livestock Production

The Environmental Protection Agency is currently gathering data to regulate livestock facilities under the Clean Air Act, legislation that purports to protect public health. To set rational policy, estimates of health externalities associated with livestock farming are necessary. This study uses geographic shifts in the industry to measure the impact of pollution on infant health. The article finds that a doubling of production leads to a 7.4% increase in infant mortality. This finding is robust with respect to the inclusion of multiple fixed and time-varying controls. The mortality increases are driven by elevated levels of respiratory diseases, providing suggestive evidence of an air pollution mechanism.

对吉林省实现由林业资源大省向林业经济强省的基本情况、取得成效以及主要做法进行了归纳和提炼,并在此基础上对进一步加快吉林省林业经济发展进行了思考,提出了推进林业综合改革,抓紧建立责权利清晰的林业产权制度和经营制度等思路及建议。
