国际初级产品分类价格对中国物价传导效应的实证研究

文章基于2001年1～12月的月度数据,对国际初级产品分类价格对中国物价的传导效应进行了实证分析。结果表明:国际初级产品价格对国内物价的传导效应具有由短期波动到长期均衡的动态机制特征,其对PPI和CPI均具有显著的正向影响。各分类价格指数对国内物价的影响之间存在较大差异,燃料价格对国内物价的影响最大且持续时间最长,非燃料价格的影响较小且持续时间相对短。燃料价格和农业原材料价格对PPI的影响显著,燃料价格、农业原材料价格和食品价格对CPI的影响显著,其他子成分的影响力很弱。

Thus society's spontaneous reactions to violent attacks on the civil order have been repressed and official law enforcement is unable to cope with the consequences.     

Institutional Antecedents of the Corporate Social Responsibility Narrative in the Developing World Context: Implications for Sustainable Development

Efforts to understand the background to perceptions and manifestation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the developing world need to focus on establishing their link with the challenges of socio‐economic governance and societal expectations and cultural traditions. This signifies a departure from a western centric understanding of CSR but also an over‐focus on CSR as philanthropy. This study considers the Malawian tourism industry and finds that its colonial legacy, post‐colonialism development thinking and the national education system explain the prevalence of a ‘CSR as philanthropy’ agenda. When these factors interact with challenges of socio‐economic governance and societal expectations, however, the universality thesis that has often been associated with the theory and implementation CSR can be challenged. These findings therefore suggest a shift from the western centric CSR thinking to a CSR perspective that is strongly grounded in local values and norms and which meets the expectations of the global society. Enactment of a Sustainable Vision in the Dual Context of the Tropical Biosphere and the Developing World: A Case Study of Belize Natural Energy

Nowhere is economic, cultural, and environmental sustainability more critical than in a country like Belize, where the developing world merges with the tropical biosphere. Through a single‐organization case study design, the authors provide insight into Belize's only oil‐producing company, specifically examining its sustainability practices and its enactment of an organizational vision centered on sustainability. Our global economy relies heavily on fossil fuels; such reliance requires us to understand the sustainability efforts of these companies. Determining how sustainability is enacted in these organizations forms the basis for how these practices can be replicated. Data collection included multiple interviews with employees throughout the organization, ethnographic observation, and document analysis. The results yielded an understanding of how sustainability practices are enacted in organizational communication.     

Segmentation in the Market for Child Labor: The Economics of Child Labor Revisited

Recent events have focused attention on international labor standards, with some special attention being paid to child labor. The diverse forms of child labor are often merged into one: a stereotype of "children sewing Nikes," although the situation varies widely from that model. Certain forms of child labor are not substitutable by adult labor; others are more appropriately modeled as a form of apprenticeship. A simple family utility function helps elucidate the reasons. The ultimate purpose of the paper is to challenge the policy ambiguity—we cannot tell whether restrictions on child labor are good or bad—that was a result in Basu and Van's earlier (1998) modeling of child labor
