健美操运动是女大学生比较喜欢的一项运动,对女大学生心理素质产生积极的影响.本文通过文献资料法、访问法、问卷调查法、数据统计等方法对女大学生上健美操课情况进行调查,了解健美操对她们的心理素质的影响情况.结果表明:通过参加健美操锻炼,女大学生自我满意程度、身体协调性、灵活性、独立性、情绪调节能力、意志力和性格、社会适应能力等方面都有较显著增强。  相似文献

为增强中医院校学生体质,文章对中医院校大学生运动消费现状和影响因素开展调查。文章采用文献法和问卷法,通过非概率抽样对该校278位学生进行调查,并采用卡方检验进行数据分析。年级与大学生运动消费水平有显著性差异;性别和大学生运动消费水平上有显著性差异;运动消费项目与大学生运动消费满意度有显著性差异。中医院校医学生专业课业繁重,但其体质健康问题不容忽视,学校管理者应加强和引导医学专业学生的体育锻炼,更好为我国的医学的发展提供有力支撑。  相似文献

通过对齐齐哈尔大学大学生体育自主锻炼方式的调研,结果表明:大学生在体育自主锻炼方式上缺乏积极性,缺乏自我锻炼的意识;运动方式选择贫乏、较为单一;在影响大学生体育自主锻炼方式的因素中,场地、锻炼水平和锻炼氛围是限制大学生自主锻炼方式的主要因素;分析其原因:在体育自主锻炼上,缺乏锻炼的意识,运动方式较少,缺少锻炼的场地器材,没有专人指导,锻炼水平不够,没有好的锻炼氛围等是影响大学生体育自主锻炼方式的主要因素.  相似文献

A model of the effects of economic level and ethnicity on grade 8 mathematics scores both within and between schools found that both the economic composition and the ethnic composition of a school were directly related to the effectiveness of that school. Projection of the data suggests that if the nation's schools were completely desegregated economically (but not at all ethnically), the test-score gap between free lunch students and students paying full price for lunch would decline by 25 %. Ethnic compositional effects for black, Asian/Pacific Islander (API), and Hispanic students were reversed from their within-school effects, with positive effects for students in schools with larger proportions of black and Hispanic students and a strong negative effect for students in schools with larger proportions of Asian/Pacific Islander students.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of boarding at school on students’ prosocial behaviors in rural China using data from the National Children's Study of China. The instrumental variable (IV) approach was used to control for potential endogeneity, and the IVs were the proportion of boarding students in higher grades and the school area per student. The ordinary least squares and IV estimates showed that boarding students exhibited more prosocial behaviors, including compliance with rules, positive traits, and altruistic attitudes. These results were robust. Heterogeneity analyses suggested that students from low-income families, children who were not “left behind,” high-grade students, and female students were more likely to benefit from boarding. We found that these effects were primarily due to boarding students developing stronger feelings of trust and support from their peers and teachers and participating in more school-organized events and team activities.  相似文献

To date, little is known about how gender peers affect students’ educational and occupational expectations. This study investigates the gender peer effects on students’ educational and occupational expectations, using the 2014 China Education Panel Survey. To address students’ self-selection into classes, we choose a sample of schools that randomly assign students to classes. We find that exposure to more female peers increases students’ probability of expecting to attend university and reduces their probability of expecting to complete only middle school. Besides, exposure to more female peers increases boys’ and girls’ probabilities of expecting to pursue a career as a manager, and reduces their probabilities of expecting to become a teacher, doctor, or lawyer. Moreover, exposure to more female peers has significant positive effects on both girls’ and boys’ probability of expecting to pursue prevalently male occupations. In addition, we discuss the mechanisms and check the robustness of the results. This study helps to understand the gender peer effects in education and the variations in individuals’ educational and occupational choices.  相似文献

This paper uses OLS regression analysis to examine the effect of student characteristics on performance in Introductory Microeconomics at five South African universities. No consistent race‐effects were found, but Indian students performed significantly worse than Whites at historically‐White universities. Male students outperformed females in general. Older students did better at the historically‐White institutions only. At one university, Black students who speak English as their home language outperformed those who are non‐English speakers. Students who devoted more time to study outside formal classes did better in general. Greater verbal and mathematical ability had large and significant positive effects on student achievement.  相似文献

The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) is a high school initiative that serves many at‐risk students. Its goals range from reducing dropout rates and improving academic achievement to preparing students for military careers. Using data from High School and Beyond (HSB) and the National Educational Longitudinal Study (NELS), we estimate average treatment effects on students attending schools that typically host JROTC. Applying a two‐stage matching technique, we find that JROTC participants have poorer academic outcomes than other students; although, a large portion of these differences is explained by their at‐risk status. In addition, program effects appear to differ by demographic group, with black participants having lower dropout rates than white participants. The program also appears to improve self‐esteem scores of females. Although the majority of JROTC participants do not join the military, we find large marginal enlistment effects.  相似文献

We estimate the effects of class-size reduction by exploiting exogenous variation caused by Maimonides’ rule, which requires that the maximum class size is 40 students and that classes be split into two when 41 students are enrolled. Our data cover all fourth to ninth graders in 1064 public schools in an anonymous prefecture of Japan for three years. We find that the effects of class-size reduction on academic test scores are statistically and/or economically insignificant when school fixed effects are controlled. We find no evidence that small class size improves non-cognitive skills.  相似文献
