Business potential in Russia: Competitive growth in the manufacturing sector

The paper analyzes the consequences of radical reforms in the Russian economy for the development of the manufacturing sector, including the behavior of relative prices for manufactured goods, downsizing of enterprises, and problems of the noncompetitiveness of enterprises in the manufacturing sector compared with the approaches to competitiveness in the economy of the United States. The full development of vertically integrated multisectoral corporations owned by the federal government is considered to be a possibility for overcoming the noncompetitiveness of enterprises in the manufacturing sector.     

Sugar market in Russia: Retrospective analysis and development trends

The article is devoted to analyzing the functioning of the sector under the conditions a decline in economic activities, the possibilities of the formation of service products on the market of transport services, problems of the cooperation of railways with seaports, and peculiarities of their operation in the range outbound directions of the network, as well as development prospects of the railway transport in the economic and geopolitical processes in the country and world.     

Investment and construction activities in modern Russia: State and trends

The article analyzes the current state and problems that hinder the development of investment and construction activities in Russia in 2004–2014 and assesses the efficiency of this field against the background of problems related to the use of the Investment Fund of the Russian Federation. For the first time, a methodological approach to assessing import shares in investments in the acquisition of machinery, equipment, and transport means as one of the asset types in the domestic economy has been justified and the results of appropriate assessments have been given. The article proposes ways to solve pressing problems in the field of investment and construction activities, as well as demands that should be placed on the formation of state investment and construction policy.     

Brick manufacturing in Columbia: A case study of alternative technologies

There is systematic variation in size and capital-intensity across firms in LDC manufacturing industries, variation which is greater than that observed in advanced countries (DCs). This paper examines the hypothesis that the pattern results from diffusion of superior modern technology which is proceeding at a slower rate in LDCs than in DCs. Evidence from the Columbian brick industry is presented which suggests that slow diffusion is not a sufficient explanation.     

The condition and trends of the modern retail market system in Russia: Macroeconomic and financial aspects

The paper explores main trends of the retail market in Russia. The role and place of retail trade systems in the modern economy is described with due regard for international experience. The authors use their original approach to develop quantitative estimates of key financial measures of trade and attempt to appraise the macroeconomic effect of the development of retail trade systems.

Russia’s intra-industry trade in international exchange: Major trends and growth potential

The current state and development trends in Russia’s international intra-industry trade with major trade partners are considered in the paper on the whole and by individual industries. The author suggests his approach to assessing the intra-industry development effect on industrial output and foreign trade indicators by individual industries. Forecast estimates are given on the international intra-industry trade development in medium-term prospects for the country as a whole and for processing industries depending on different options in government’s economic policy.

文章通过因子分析法,分析了吉林省高端装备制造业技术创新的影响因素及其作用过程。研究结果可将高端装备制造业技术创新的影响因素分为3个方面,分别是企业内部创新资源因素、外部因素和创新有效产出因素,在技术创新过程的激发、研发、制造、产销和反馈5个阶段中相互作用。     

中俄贸易互补性分析

面对中俄之间经贸关系落后于政治关系,中俄贸易严重滞后于中美贸易、中日贸易的现实,有学者质疑中俄贸易的互补性和发展的潜力,部分市场主体也对进军俄罗斯市场心存疑虑。本文通过贸易结合度、RCA指数、贸易互补性指数、经常市场份额模型等一系列指标和模型,对中俄贸易测算分析,结果显示,中俄间贸易互补性极强,双方贸易发展的潜力巨大。

Analysis of the nature of cause-and-effect relationship between inflation and wage in Russia

The nature of the cause-and-effect relationship between inflation and wages in Russia in 2003–2014 has been analyzed. The author has focused on defining the reliability of cost-push inflation theory and demand inflation theory based on Russian data using econometric methods (the Granger causality test and vector error-correction model). The stabilit y of the modeling results (for the purpose of excluding structural changes under the conditions of varying of the principles of Bank of Russia’s monetary policy during the transition to inflation targeting) is checked using the Gregory–Hansen method. In the article, the results are compared to the similar studies carried out for developed countries and countries with developing markets.     

冷战后俄朝关系评析

冷战时期,基于东西方对抗与美苏争霸的大背景,苏朝关系取得了长足的发展,苏联也以支持朝鲜作为其远东战略前沿的方式,确立了在朝鲜半岛的主角地位。冷战后,俄罗斯与朝鲜的关系渐趋冷淡乃至恶化,俄罗斯在朝鲜半岛的地位发生了根本性转变,其对半岛的影响力也一度下降。普京执政以来,实行东西方并举又有所侧重的全方位外交,大幅度调整了俄罗斯的远东政策,使其与朝鲜的关系有了明显的改善。但受多种因素的制约,俄朝关系达到最终和解并向良性方向发展仍需要双方长期不懈的共同努力。     

我国进口俄罗斯木材结构分析

本文首先从资源禀赋及市场需求的角度,对我国进口俄罗斯木材的必然性进行了分析,然后从原木和锯材两方面介绍了进口俄罗斯木材的发展概况,紧接着以针叶原木与阔叶原木,以及针叶锯材及阔叶锯材为分析对象,总结了进口俄罗斯木材的结构特点。最后,针对贸易结构存在的问题,分别从政府、行业协会、企业的角度,提出了如何优化进口俄罗斯木材结构的政策建议。     

俄白哈关税同盟的贸易效果探析

研究俄白哈关税同盟的贸易效果具有重大的理论与现实意义,而系统研究俄白哈关税同盟贸易效果的文献比较缺乏。文章从贸易规模和增速、内部贸易占比、贸易强度和贸易条件4个方面反映关税同盟的静态效果,通过对FDI的变化、创新能力的变化、国际竞争力的变化研究关税同盟的动态效果。根据以上分析得出结论:俄白哈关税同盟的贸易效果已部分显现,但总体效果仍比较微弱。其中,俄罗斯的技术创新和综合竞争力的提升效果比较明显,白俄罗斯贸易条件改善比较显著,哈萨克斯坦的贸易条件改善和综合竞争力的提升较为显著,但其他效果不太明显。总体来看,关税同盟的贸易效果仍有待加强。     

试析我国保税物流的发展及趋势

自2005年12月11日起,随着中国物流市场对外资的全面开放,国内物流市场对外资的政策障碍已成为历史.跨国物流公司全面参与国内物流市场竞争,将带动新一轮国际物流业务的快速增长.与此同时,随着我国开放型经济逐步向纵深发展,2005年我国进出口加工贸易企业的进出口额已经超过进出口总额的一半,而我国发展成为全球制造业中心,将对国际物流的需求进一步扩大,对国际采购、国际中转、分拨配送、物流信息处理等配套物流服务需求也越来越迫切.这些都要求我国加快建设符合国际惯例的、配套的保税物流服务体系,即能实现全球采购、转口贸易、国际配送、流通性简单加工和增值服务、物流信息处理等一站式服务功能的载体,便于使货物以最快的速度、最小的成本、最低的风险分拨配送到各目的地.可以说,加速发展保税物流是推动我国现代物流发展、促进加工贸易转型升级的客观要求.     

Analysis of interregional differences in inflationary developments in the economy of Central Russia

The article presents an analysis of regional characteristics of inflationary developments in the economy of Central Russia. An analysis of the annual dynamics of base regional consumer price indices, as well as price indices for food products, nonfood items, and services during 2000–2011, is provided. An extrapolation inflation rate forecast for the regions of Central Russia for 2013–2014 is also presented. An econometric model that relates regional consumer price indices in 2008–2011 to price indices for food products, nonfood items, and services has been constructed. A typology of the regions of Central Russia is suggested based on multiple base regional consumer price indices for food and nonfood products, as well as services in 2008–2011.
