After an introductory statement on the organisation of official statistics in India the author describes the various departments of the Indian Statistical Institute, and its contributions to the development of sampling methods, in mathematical statistics and theory of probability, biometrics, psychometrics, statistical quality control, demography and economic development planning. This study explores how the Chinese values (Integrations, Confucian Work Dynamism, Human-heartedness and Moral Discipline) impact employees' satisfaction (ES). Employees who work in mainland China for companies whose parent companies are based in Taiwan were surveyed. The results can be summarized as the following: ‘Integration’, ‘Confucian Work Dynamism’ and ‘Human-heartedness’ are significantly different between Taiwanese and Chinese employees, while ‘Moral discipline’ is not; Taiwanese employees have higher ES than Chinese employees; Taiwanese employees view ‘career planning’ is the most important, while Chinese employees think ‘management system’ is most important; For Taiwanese employees, ‘Salary and benefit’, ‘Working load’ and ‘Management system’ have effects on ES; Age and Education have effects on Chinese employees. 相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to apply the Kunert and Martins (2000b) method for finding optimal designs into the case of dependence. Using this method we study optimality of circular neighbor balanced designs at distances 1 and 2 under the one-dimensional interference model with errors correlated according to a circular autoregressive process. The paper reviews international literature on corporate governance and firm performance and investigates the relationship in the Indian context, taking into account the endogeneity in the relationship. Governance parameters include board size, directors’ shareholding, institutional and foreign shareholding, while the fragmentation in shareholding is captured by public shareholding. A simultaneous equation regression model for Tobin’s Q, as a measure of firm performance, is attempted using these variables, while controlling for industry effects and other non-governance variables. The data corresponds to a panel of 340 large, listed Indian firms for the period 1997–2001 spread across 24 industry groups. 相似文献

We model a lender-borrower relationship in a CSV framework. The project available with the firm is characterized by first-order
stochastic dominance. The lender audits the borrower to prevent the latter from strategic default. In this setup, we find
the optimal contract is the standard debt contract. However, a debt contract leads to overinvestment. This result is in sharp
contrast to those obtained in the literature. The default probability of the project can be influenced by the nature of financial
contract in place. The model also derives the relationship between the optimal debt equity ratio and the auditing costs.
