在马克思经济学和新制度经济学中，都把制度作为社会发展、经济增长的重要因素，但是，两者在方法论、理论体系．对制度的评价标准等方面存在区别，建立在完全不同的世界观和价值观基础之上。

Adler gives an account of the arguments for delinking which is followed by an evaluation of these arguments and a discussion of the policy implications for industrial countries. The political economy of international factor mobility

We model the endogenous determination of policy towards international factor mobility. In a common agency setting, domestic interest groups bid for protection from the government and the incumbent politicians maximize a welfare function that depends both on domestic voters' welfare and contributions collected. We characterize equilibrium policies in the price space and show how the degree of complementarity among inputs determines the outcome. We establish a similar result for quotas, allowing for partial rent capturing. For the strategic environment under consideration, we also establish a general equivalence result between tariffs and quotas if capturing is complete.

An ethical discussion on the network economy

The digital revolution has become the driver of world development. However, it has given rise to a number of concerns of an ethical nature. These include challenges to privacy, the protection of copyright, problems of cultural imperialism, effects on social and family life, the monopolisation of information, the pollution of information, informational cheating and the vulnerability to viruses and hackers. The article suggests that ethicists must think seriously about ways by which ethical consciousness can be raised and ethical behaviours encouraged in the network economy.     

The political economy of climate policy-making in the European Union

The European Union's climate policy is characterized by uncoordinated measures taken at national level, and a preference for inefficient economic instruments. The vanguard role taken by the EU in international climate negotiations stands in contrast to the lack of action in meeting far-reaching emissions-reduction targets on a European level. The following article attempts to explain these shortcomings by using the instruments of the New Political Economy.     

The political economy of non‐tariff measures

This paper examines the extent to which non‐tariff measures (NTM s) are set for protectionist purposes. Our main focus is on developing countries. Overall results show that NTM s reflect protectionist forces, in particular for those that have been subject to trade concerns at the World Trade Organization (WTO ). For the other measures, there is no evidence that protectionism is the driving force behind their adoption, suggesting that their determinants may be associated with legitimate goals such as consumer health and safety. Furthermore, transnational lobbying, defined as the participation of national business groups at the Ministerial Conferences—the highest authority of the WTO —is positively associated with the probability of adopting NTM s.
