基于信息披露的QFII超额收益率与中小投资者保护

本文研究了QFII机构2007-2009年投资我国A股市场的超额收益率,静态分析结果表明QFII持股上市公司无法产生正的超额收益;动态分析结果表明QFII增仓上市公司可以产生显著为正的超额收益,而QFII减仓上市公司产生显著为负的超额收益。另外,通过问卷调查法获取中小投资者的投资弱点,从QFII机构信息披露的角度研究如何保护中小投资者利益,对证券监管部门规范QFII信息披露,引导中小投资者理性投资,以及保护中小投资者利益等方面均有一定的启示意义。     

Firm Size and the Nature of International Relationships: The Case of Globally Integrated Small Firms

During the past quarter of a century or so there was a marked increase in the number of studies exploring the internationalization of the small firm. The basic premise of this body of literature was that the size of the firm mattered in the process of internationalization. Research in this area focused heavily on types of forward integration (particularly exporting), and examined a handful of key research questions: which national markets shall a small firm enter, how, and when, as well as the impact of internationalization on business performance. Rather unexpectedly, to date there have been no studies exploring the impact of firm size on the nature of relationships created by small firms. This paper aspires to address this gap in the literature by focusing upon globally integrated small enterprises. Drawing on the evidence of 755 firms in five EU countries the paper argues that there are no profound differences in the nature of international relationships created by globally integrated small firms in comparison to their large‐scale counterparts. More importantly, however, the paper suggests that power asymmetry and mutuality may coexist in international relationship, and small firms may often occupy positions of power in global commodity chains.     

Were Small Producers the Engines of Growth in the Canadian Manufacturing Sector in the 1980s?

Small firms are often seen to be the engines of growth. There are two main sources of empirical evidence that are adduced to support this conclusion. The first is that job creation has been coming mainly from small firms. The second is that the share of employment accounted for by small firms has increased in the past two decades. Both of these sources rely on a simple metric-employment. This paper asks whether changes in this metric affect the view of the role that small firms play in the growth process.The first section of the paper maintains employment as the measure that is used to evaluate the importance of small firms but modifies the raw measure of employment to correct for the fact that small firms pay lower wages than large firms. When this is done, small producers are no longer found to outperform large producers in terms of job creation over the 1970s and 1980s in the Canadian manufacturing sector.The second section of the paper changes the metric used to evaluate relative performance by moving from employment to output and labour productivity. The paper demonstrates that while small producers have increased their employment share dramatically, they have barely changed their output share. Small firms have been falling behind large firms both with respect to wages paid and labour productivity.     

Toward a Contingency Framework of Export Entrepreneurship: Conceptualisations and Empirical Evidence

This paper reports the findings of a study, which employed a contingency, export-entrepreneurial approach to investigate the critical influences on export venture creation among a sample of Nigerian small firms. Responding to the repeated calls in the literature for multi-disciplinary research frameworks, the paper draws on perspectives from entrepreneurship, exporting, and contingency literatures to examine the antecedent and moderating influences on the export behavior of small firms. It explores, in particular, the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and external environmental moderators in the export venture creation process of small firms. The findings suggest that an entrepreneurial orientation is associated with better export venturing, and is the appropriate strategic posture for small firms operating in hostile environments. It would appear, also, that this orientation is associated with certain decision-maker characteristics (including international orientation and contacts and previous business experience) and firm-level competencies. By thus highlighting the entrepreneurial dimensions of export venturing, this paper makes the case for greater policy focus on strengthening the entrepreneurial foundations/capacities of small firms.

以我国中小金融机构近年来产品创新的情况为对象,通过对中小金融机构金融产品创新的现状和存在问题进行分析．对我国中小金融机构的发展提出了具体的发展建议,以期为中小金融机构的发展提供一些思路。     

专业市场本地网络效应、全球网络效应与中小企业国际营销能力——基于浙江义乌和绍兴的实证研究

本文基于专业市场网络与中小企业国际化存在紧密联系这一经济现实,试图研究专业市场网络对中小企业国际营销能力的影响。本文在对企业营销能力及其构成维度,专业市场网络等相关概念进行界定的基础上,对专业市场本地网络和全球网络中存在的各种效应对中小企业国际营销能力的影响进行了理论分析。在此基础上,运用浙江省义乌市和绍兴市实地调查所获得的数据对专业市场网络与中小企业国际营销能力之间的关系进行了实证检验。我们发现：（1）相比于专业市场本地网络,全球网络效应对中小企业国际营销能力有更显著的影响。（2）专业市场本地网络在提升中小企业的信息利用能力方面有着突出的表现,但对中小企业的产品开发能力和快速反应能力的影响并不十分显著。     

Small firms and the failure of national skills policies: adopting an institutional perspective

Both skills and small firms have been increasingly prominent in policy agendas across the world in recent years. Skills are now seen as being crucial to economic prosperity, yet evidence consistently shows much lower levels of training, on average, in small firms than in larger businesses. Policy makers in various countries have sought to address this perceived problem and to stimulate skills development in small firms, but have attempted to do so in different ways and with varying degrees of success. It is this divergence in national skills policies, as well as its causes and implications for skill formation in small firms, that this paper seeks to illuminate. In doing so, it adopts an ‘institutional’ perspective that advances current understanding of how and why skills policies adopted in different countries appear to have varying effects on small firms. Through employing this institutional analysis, the paper promotes an awareness of how historical, social and economic forces in the ‘corporatist’ systems, found for example in Germany and Scandinavia, tend to provide a more supportive context for skills development in small firms than the liberal free market systems found elsewhere in the world, such as in the USA, Canada and the UK – which is highlighted as an illustrative case in this paper.
