Message to the China-EU Partenariat 2006

Sanctioned by the State Council, the China-EU Partenariat 2006, sponsored by the EU Commission, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Sichuan provincial government will be held in Chengdu, which will create a platform for dialogue between Chinese and European companies, as well as provide an opportunity for the host city's commercial interests to establish cooperative relationships with the industrial and commercial visitors from Europe.     

2006 Partenariat Preparation Smoothly Ongoing

Retrospect of Partenariat 2002 in Beijing

From November 7 to 8, 2002, sanctioned by the State Council, EU Commission and CCPIT jointly held 2002 Partenariat in China International Expo Center in Beijing.382Chinese companies and 298 enterprises from 15 EU members conducted 2961 rounds of one-to-one exclusive business talks, reached 120 agreements, involving 555 cooperation projects as trade, investment and all kinds of economic and technology cooperations.

As the improvement of the relationship between China and EU, especially after the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership, the bilateral cooperation has been developing unceasingly; the trade and communication are more frequent and keep the good momentum. From January to October, 2005, the bilateral trade valued at US$176.2 billion, increasing by 26.2% year on year. It surpassed the trade value of Sino-US and Sino-Japan both in speed and in the increasing extent. Successful Shanghai Promotion Conference of EU-China Partenariat 2006

In February 2006, Executive Committee of EU-China Partenariat 2006 held the promotion conference in Shanghai Everbright International Hotel. The conference gained support from CCPIT Shanghai Branch and other relevant departments. There were over 100 enterprises＇ representatives attending the conference. Chen Jianhua, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Shanghai Branch, Gu Zhe, Vice Secretary-General of CCPIT Shanghai Branch and Liu Shuhua, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Chengdu Branch and other leaders attended the conference.
