Business model shifts: a case study on firms that apply high technology to cultural goods

Business models (BMs) in high-tech industries are analysed from a dynamic point of view in the context of cultural goods. Despite the increased interest in BMs, there is still a gap in terms of the generally accepted definition and of how BMs are analysed within an integrated framework. The aim of this paper is twofold: to provide a theoretical framework to understand BMs and how they change over time, and an empirical investigation of the characteristics of firms that apply high technology to cultural goods (HTCGs). Having defined what an HTCG firm is, within- and cross-case analyses are carried out on 30 firms that operate in the field of the cultural goods in Tuscany (Italy). The results showed interesting patterns of evolution of BMs, thus providing useful insights into the unexplored field of HTCGs.     

A study of urban traffic based on the temporal maps： the case of Guangzhou City

Temporal map is an isochronal map taking time as a measuring unit. It traces out the isochrones according to the discrepancy of the time distance between the different sites from the outside of the city and the down town, It can be clear and intuitional to show the different temporal relationships between the outside of the city and the city centre with the temporal map, The problem of traffic congestion, with its potential /br urban chaos, has increased dramatically with a growing number of vehicles and the continuing aerial expansion of Guangzhou. Both transit riders and drivers find it is a great difficulty to try to acquire the necessary information from urban spatial movements. Valuable time is lost due to the absence of good transportation information. So, the paper analyzes a case in Guangzhou communication with Geographic Information System （GIS）, and uses the most popular vehicles, including buses and taxis that are used to measure the temporal distance in the city. and then proposes the design of a new map that better reflects the status of urban communication, and attempts to change the relationship between one point and another potnt of travel, reducing the amount of time allocated to such. often complex, movements, This paper also points out the obstacles associated with Guangzhou＇s existing traffic congestion, and puts forward a strategy aimed at better d .efining the need of linking the temporal map to spatial map of Guangzhou.     

Innovation forecasting: A case study of the management of engineering and technology literature

The following paper contributes to the methodology of innovation forecasting. The paper analyzes the literature of engineering and technology management. A brief history and justification for interest in engineering and technology management is presented. The field has a sixty year history of interdisciplinary, and is therefore a ripe source for closer investigation into time trends of knowledge. The paper reviews the literature of innovation forecasting, examining a range of theoretical and methodological literatures interested in the evolution of knowledge. A new application of a model, suitable for sparse and count-like publication data, is presented. A mathematical presentation of the model is offered. A discussion is offered on how the model may be implemented in an approachable way within spreadsheet software. A time history of engineering management literature is extracted from a database and analyzed using the model. A projection of keyword growth is offered, and key features of the emerging knowledge base within engineering management are discussed. Recommendations for future research, as well as for those monitoring the status of the discipline of engineering management, are made.     

跨国公司在华研发与地区经济增长的实证分析——以苏州市为例

中国改革开放取得了长足的进步，毋庸置疑，这和实施开放政策息息相关，而这其中引人关注的莫过于外商直接投资所带来的效应。显然外商直接投资（FDI）对中国经济的腾飞发挥了重要的作用，但是FDI对东道地区的技术提升却是仁者见仁，智者见智，分歧颇大。本课题选取了改革开放以来经济活跃的江苏作为研究样板，考察了苏州在近20年来的发展中，外资对于当地技术进步的作用。笔者通过大量计量方法，力求做到客观公正，对外资作了简单分类后，考察了各部分以及整体对苏州技术进步的影响。     

Empirical study on evaluation of regional agri-food logistics capability in e-commerce environment based on factor analysis A case study of Hebei province

With SPSS16.0 software, this paper chooses the statistical data of 11 cities in Hebei province to empirically study the agri-food logistics capability based on the method of factor analysis, and finally obtains the ranking of the 11 cities. It shows that, factor-cluster analysis is an effective method to analyze the logistics capability of agri-food. It can simplify the original complicated problem and lead to an objective, reliable and convincing conclusion.
