Innovation and Ethics Ethical Considerations in the Innovation Business

In our global economy knowledge-based industry is takingmore importance. Recent years have seen the success of anincreasing number of start-up companies, most technology-basedenterprises financed by private persons or companies, or through venture capital funds and public offering. In manyyears, those companies are faced at certain critical momentswith matters involving intellectual property rights, insiderinformation and raising money. These facts all have an ethicaldimension. There is an increasing need for ethical behaviourfrom all parties involved. A code of conduct of all partiesshould be applied. This paper describes the growth processof a company and the valuation of an innovation project. Itwill overview a number of ethical issues, at different stagesin the innovation business, and in the lifetime of a start-upcompany, such as the problems of intellectual property, theconfidentiality of information, the negotiation processbetween the entrepreneur and the financier, the marketingof raising funds and of an IPO, and finally the informationand insider trading. The paper concludes with aplea for increased ethical ethical behaviour and the needfor rules of best practice for all parties: the inventor,the entrepreneur, the financial investor, and other stakeholders.     

集群创新网络的创新能力评价研究

正确分析和评价集群创新网络的创新能力,对提高企业的整体创新水平、增强产业国际竞争力具有重要的现实意义。本文分析了集群创新网络的发展现状,构建了集群创新网络模型及创新能力评价指标体系,以实例验证了这一评价方法的合理性。

Innovation and Development: The Evidence From Innovation Surveys

In this article we investigate the existing evidence on innovation produced by innovation surveys in developing and emerging countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. We review the relevant literature, discuss methodological issues, and analyze the results for the countries with the most comparable surveys, considering the well-established findings of innovation surveys for Europe as a benchmark. From the evidence we considered, regional patterns are identified and some stylized facts on innovation and development are proposed, pointing out the specificity of innovation processes in economies engaged in industrialization and catching up.     

基于技术创新能力的创新开放度研究

本文从技术创新能力的角度研究了技术创新软、硬能力对创新开放度的影响。对136家中国企业的调查数据显示,企业技术创新硬能力负向影响开放度显著,软能力与创新开放度正向关系显著。企业可以通过增减研发人员及设备的投入来调整开放度,通过提高协同创新能力、提升开放度来获得更多创新源。因此,在企业技术知识积累达到较高水平时要避免开放度下降而减少与外界的协同创新。

China has directly invested 28.6billion yuan in the Shanghai World Expo,according to its official data.So far,the Shanghai Expo has embraced over 15 million total visitors over 50 days(95% of whom are Chinese),and hit a record of 552 thousand people in one day.Reports from the Pavilion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said that the longest queue at the pavilion has reached as long as 9 hours,which still does not capture the enthusiasm for these pavilions.So,as a big celebration for Chinese everywhere,what is the meaning of holding such a big World Expo?

2011年12月5日,第25个国际志愿者日。英特尔（中国）有限公司发布了＂2010-2011英特尔中国企业社会责任报告＂,报告发布会同时举办了以＂快乐公益志愿同行＂为主题的英特尔公益日。该报告全面阐释了英特尔中国独树一帜的企业社会责任理念和战略。作为英特尔在中国地区最为全面的一份企业社会责任材料,今年的报告除了使用大量翔实的数据来系统展现英特尔中国过去一年在教育、绿色、中小企业知识产权保护以及公益等领域的成果,同时首度公布了英特尔在大连及成都工厂等相关数据。
