超燃冲压发动机性能的准二维计算方法

为了能在双模态超燃冲压发动机流道方案初步论证中提供一种较快速的发动机性能计算方法,在二维N-S方程基础上,引入一维完全燃烧计算方法,提出了预估超燃冲压发动机性能的准二维计算方法。该方法能够计入激波、边界层分离等对发动机性能的影响,可在较短时间计算出整机推力、比冲性能和沿程热力学参数。通过对自由射流发动机计算,验证了此方法。并在此基础上,初步分析了燃料喷注位置和流道构型对发动机性能的影响。 

Taking environmental partnerships seriously

Increasingly, firms are integrating environmental sustainability into their business strategies. Yet, sustainability is a complex topic and many firms need to form environmental partnerships to access additional resources—in the form of investments, technologies, expertise, public image, and/or political influence—to develop competitive advantage. Environmental partnership decisions are difficult, however, because they often need to reconcile multifaceted sustainability issues with multi-level, and potentially divergent, strategic goals. To meet their intended objectives, companies should carefully consider the type of environmental partnerships and partners that can best meet their needs. Based on a review of the literature, interviews with executives responsible for environmental partnerships, and publicly available data, we find firms engage in three main types of environmental partnerships: innovation-seeking, legitimacy-building, and policy-influencing. Each type of partnership benefits from different types of resources and partner choices. Herein, we describe the advantages of each type of environmental partnership and partners that may best support them. Given that many firms develop environmental partnership portfolios, managing multiple environmental partnerships simultaneously, we also discuss the implications of our research for environmental partnership portfolios.

本文认为,能源是能够产生能量的物质,作为一个总体概念,它属于劳动资料;能源贸易是能源交换和流通的总和,不包括人才、专有技术和机器设备在国际间的流动。我国的能源消费结构以煤炭为主,产生了严重的环境问题,影响了国家的可持续发展,但即使是以石油消费为主的国家也引发了不可持续发展的问题。随着商品短缺时代的结束和资源短缺时代的到来,这就需要我国统筹利用国内、国外两种能源,实现可持续发展。     

Business Ethics in the Choice of New Technology in the Kraft Pulping Industry

The choice of new technology in a resource-based industry has far-reaching implications for its ethical performance. The kraft pulping industry uses considerable amounts of wood as raw material, and regulatory agencies have been tightening their control limits for effluent, solid waste and air emissions. The technological solutions required to reduce the environmental impact of the industry are shown to have the potential of causing social hardship for the mill's employees, the affected communities, lenders, and owners. In some instances, the technological solutions give rise to new environmental challenges. Forestry practices are influencing the public's perception of the kraft pulping industry, its ethical and environmental performance, its profitability, and the properties of its product, which may increase wood requirements. New forestry practices have the potential to reduce the forest land area required to sustain the kraft pulp production at a given level but ethical problems associated with genetic manipulation, phenodiversity, and biodiversity are identified. This paper analyzes the interface between environmental protection, ethics, and choice of technology.     

The Influence of Environmental Knowledge and Values on Managerial Behaviours on Behalf of the Environment: An Empirical Examination of Managers in China

This study explores linkages between what Chinese managers generally know about environmental issues, how strongly they value environmental protection, and different types of behaviours/actions they may take within their organizations on behalf of the environment. From a sample of 305 managers in Guangzhou and Beijing, it was found that both environmental knowledge and values are more predictive of more personal managerial behaviours, such as keeping informed of relevant company issues and working within the system to minimize environmental impacts, than more overt behaviours. Moreover, for these more personal actions, environmental knowledge and values were found to have both main and interactive effects. By comparison, it was found that both environmental values and knowledge had additive effects on managerial tendencies to initiate new programs within their domain of responsibility. Only environmental values was found to have a modest influence environmental advocacy.     

The effects of executive turnover on top management team's environmental scanning behavior after an environmental change

This study explores how the scope of managerial environmental scanning changes after an environmental shift. Using the context of deregulation in airline industry, I examined both within- and across-sector scanning embodied in the presidents' letters in the annual reports between 1973 and 1986. The results indicate that: 1) top management teams (TMTs) who experienced large turnover in membership tended to have broader scope of environmental scanning, both within and across different sectors; 2) TMT demographic heterogeneity positively moderated such linkage between executive turnover and environmental scanning; and 3) output-orientation in top team members' functional background had a positive main effect on the scope of environmental scanning. The results of this study offer a new insight on the effects of executive turnover and the subsequent changes in TMT composition on environmental scanning.
