PREFACE

China, a civilized ancient country with 5000 years history, has very abundant intangible cultural heritage. Although intangible, all of the heritage has constructed very consolidated cultural details, by which the genes the Chinese culture has been delivered from generation to generation. Intangible cultural heritage, or named invisible cultural heritage, means those folk cultural heritages with remarkable representative and imparted by oral teach. It's called living fossils of the historical culture. It includes folk legends, conventions, languages, music, dancing, ceremony, cooking and traditional medicine, etc..
