Decreased costs and enhanced customer satisfaction are two main objectives of SCM, and good inventory policy can achieve both simultaneously. Product perishability is a critical aspect of inventory policy. Ready-to-eat food products are very common consumer goods that are, in fact, perishable. The value the RTE food retains is, however, closely dependent on its quality. From the vendor’s point of view, quantifying quality and remaining value should be a critical business issue. In consequence, we combined the traditional deterioration model and quality prediction model to develop a new deteriorating inventory model for RTE food products. This new model quantifies food quality and remaining value. We also improved the new model by fuzzifying storage temperature to simulate temperature fluctuation. The proposed model uses real deterioration rate data. Numerical analysis is conducted in a case study. Overall, the model demonstrates that high storage temperatures reduce profits and force shorter order cycles.  相似文献

Environmental impacts, such as Green House gas emissions, have been introduced to supply chain management as an additional parameter to traditional key performance indicators such as cost, lead-time and on-time delivery. This paper analyses a case example from the food industry on how CO2 emissions are structured in a value chain. The focus of the analysis covers food factory order-picking operations, transportation, warehousing and distribution aspects. The paper aims to demonstrate greening and CO2 saving potential areas of development for thermo-controlled food logistics. The results show the energy-saving potential of several supply chain processes giving examples of distribution logistic online-temperature controlling possibilities. This paper discusses and documents G@RCH 2.2, an Ox package dedicated to the estimation and forecast of various univariate ARCH–type models including GARCH, EGARCH, GJR, APARCH, IGARCH, FIGARCH, HYGARCH, FIEGARCH and FIAPARCH specifications of the conditional variance and an AR(FI)MA specification of the conditional mean.
These models can be estimated by Approximate (Quasi) Maximum Likelihood under four assumptions: normal, Student– t , GED or skewed Student errors. Explanatory variables can enter both the conditional mean and the conditional variance equations. h –step–ahead forecasts of both the conditional mean and the conditional variance are available as well as many mispecification tests.
We first propose an overview of the package's features, with the presentation of the different specifications of the conditional mean and conditional variance. Then further explanations are given about the estimation methods. Measures of the accuracy of the procedures are also given and the GARCH features provided by G@RCH are compared with those of nine other econometric softwares. Finally, a concrete application of G@RCH 2.2 is provided.  相似文献

To increase the sparse knowledge about what drives organic food consumers in developing markets, Lebanese consumers' reasons and motives for buying organic food are studied in the framework of means‐end chain theory. A sample of N = 180 Lebanese consumers was interviewed in several retail outlets using a hard laddering questionnaire. The data were subjected to frequency analysis, cluster analysis, and structural equation modelling. Hierarchal value maps constructed from the laddering interviews revealed that “quality of life,” “pleasure,” and “peace of mind” are the main values driving organic food consumption in Lebanon. Frequent organic consumers displayed higher concern for their family's health and for the environment, whereas occasional organic consumers cared more about their own pleasure and were more likely to perceive organic food as a traditional and nostalgic product. Structural equation modelling revealed that “care for nature” and “care for children's health” significantly affect consumers' (self‐reported) purchasing behaviour. The found means‐end chains are a useful basis for marketing campaigns for organic food products in the Lebanese market. One focus of marketing campaigns should be raising consumers' awareness on the environmental benefits of organic production and the fact that it does not allow the use of harmful chemical products.  相似文献

对2009年湖南名牌产品申报品牌通过随机抽样的方式进行了顾客满意度市场测评,结果表明:样本呈近似正态分布,顾客满意度指数最高为99.52分,最低为75.02分,平均为89.88分。其中,建材行业平均得分最高(94.94分),食品行业得分最低(85.29分)。市州之间品牌得分没有显著性差异,行业间差异显著。行业内极差最大的为食品行业,最小的为有色行业。测评结果能为湖南省名牌产品的评定提供统计依据,同时也可对相关企业的生产与经营提供决策参考。  相似文献

随着中国社会物质文化生活水平的不断提升,人们对食品供应的数量和质量的要求越来越高。因此,为了满足消费者对时令新鲜食品的需求,则必须在食品生产、配送、零售等供应链系统方面得到加强。基于这一思考,文中综合运用手段-目的分析法(means/end analysis(MEA))评估了食品供应链(food supply chains(FSC))的环境绩效,详细分析了评估的方法和步骤,探讨了食品业避免现存供应链带来的环境污染的方法。文中结论认为,食品业应加强对食品供应链的环境评估,改善现存的供应链,并减少供应链各环节带来的环境影响。  相似文献
