学科认同是表现学习者认可自身价值和追求职业发展目标的重要衡量指标之一.文章在文献分析、成熟量表测度语句借鉴、访谈和自编测度语句基础上开发了旅游管理专业的学科认同问卷,通过对西安6所高校旅游管理专业本科生的正式调查,采用探索性和验证性因子分析方法验证了旅游管理专业学科认同的结构和关联维度.研究结果表明:所开发的量表具有较好的整体结构和关联维度;旅游管理专业的学科认同由专业学习、专业前景、专业意识、职业发展、专业投机、社会偏见、专业归属等7个维度构成;7个维度中专业学习、专业前景、专业意识对旅游管理专业的总体学科认同影响力最大.该研究对于未来旅游管理专业学科优化、学生职业教育培养和引平等均具有参考价值.  相似文献

在国内外学者对危机属性研究的理论基础上,文章以2013年新疆巴楚恐怖袭击事件和2014年昆明火车站砍人事件为具体研究案例,开发旅游目的地人为导致类危机属性的测量量表,并采用探索性因子分析和3次验证性因子分析,探讨并检验此类危机事件的属性构成,然后关联这些属性维度对游客行为意图的影响.研究结果表明:研究所开发的量表整体结构良好,信度和效度都处于较好的水平,具有一定的稳定性和较好的适用性;可以认为旅游目的地人为导致类危机的属性构成基本包括了危害性、突发性、模糊性、机遇性、紧迫性、持续性、可能性和可控性等8个维度;旅游目的地人为导致类危机的各个属性对游客行为意图的影响有明显差异.同时,还对研究的理论意义、实践启示等进行了探讨.  相似文献

组织仪式对于组织结构稳固、文化建设、人力资源管理、变革创新等方面具有重要价值,但目前在国内尚未得到学者的足够关注.文章聚焦开元酒店集团大型组织仪式——技术比武,援引组织仪式和行业场域事件的相关研究理论,构建技术比武个体感知价值测量量表,并对4家开元酒店进行实证研究.研究发现:(1)探索性因子分析(EFA)显示技术比武仪式的个体感知价值包括工作提升、交流沟通、职业发展、激情乐趣、组织承诺、自我实现和物质利益7个维度;(2)验证性因子分析(CFA)显示量表具有较好的信度和效度,并揭示了各价值维度与总体价值关系;(3)不同子酒店群体对于技术比武的感知价值具有显著差异;(4)个体的年龄、工作年限和职位属性与感知价值具有相关性.研究结果对于酒店组织文化管理研究具有一定的创新启示意义,对与酒店实践管理具有重要的参考价值.  相似文献

游客感知价值源自营销学领域的顾客价值理论,是游客基于感知利得与利失的权衡对旅游产品或旅游服务的总体评价,已成为旅游企业稳固竞争优势的新动源。现阶段,国内外免税购物市场竞争局势日渐激烈,免税购物游客感知价值研究能为免税店管理方提供科学的运营管理依据。文章以有消费经历的免税购物游客为研究对象,研究区域为三亚国际免税城,运用SPSS 22.0和AMOS 17.0软件对正式调研所获得的324份有效样本数据进行实证分析。在梳理游客感知价值测量相关文献的基础上,严格遵循量表开发的规范步骤(确定构念范围、发展初始测项、纯化初始测项、预调研、正式调研、探索性因子分析、验证性因子分析、信效度检验),开发了包含6个维度24个测项的免税购物游客感知价值量表,6个维度分别为感知环境价值、感知成本价值、感知管理价值、感知功能价值、感知服务价值、感知声誉价值,并通过构建结构方程模型检验了量表的稳定性。最后,总结了研究的理论贡献与管理启示。  相似文献

运用结构方程模型(SEM),通过对现有国际主流顾客满意度指数模型的改进,从多学科角度构建了饭店顾客满意度测评模型(HCS),并进行实证研究.饭店顾客满意度测评模型是一个具有因果关系的结构方程模型,运用LISREL及SPSS统计软件进行检验,结果表明测量模型中的观测变量对顾客满意度的影响显著,结构模型中各潜变量之间的路径系数与假定基本符合.在研究分析基础上给出相应结论及建议.  相似文献

记忆是动机产生的内在源泉,但鲜有文献揭示红色记忆对红色旅游动机的影响与作用机制。为此,文章运用质性研究与量化研究结合的方法,采取两个连续的研究设计,探索了红色记忆与红色旅游动机的潜在关联。具体而言,研究一探讨并验证了红色记忆的结构维度与理论模型,研究二明晰了红色记忆对红色旅游动机的差异化影响。具体研究发现为:(1)红色记忆具身建构高阶模型由符号记忆、情感记忆、实践记忆3个主范畴,以及自我关联符号记忆、社会象征符号记忆、归属认同情感记忆、怀旧反思情感记忆、习惯记忆和模仿记忆6个副范畴组成;(2)红色记忆量表具有良好的信度和效度,并验证了质性研究所提出的红色记忆理论模型;(3)红色记忆显著影响红色旅游动机的产生,其子维度对不同红色旅游动机存在差异化影响。该研究明晰了红色记忆的动机功能与作用机制,为红色记忆实践和红色旅游营销提供了科学管理参照。  相似文献

个体亲环境行为对酒店的可持续发展具有重要意义,但已有研究缺乏对酒店特定空间情境的关注。绿色实践是酒店构建绿色空间情境的重要途径。文章以长沙市4家金叶级绿色饭店为研究案例,基于刺激-机体-反应理论,采用质性研究与结构方程模型相结合的方法,探讨了酒店绿色实践对个体亲环境行为的影响机制。质性研究结果表明,酒店绿色实践主要包括四大维度,分别为环境设计、绿色产品、绿色宣传和绿色管理。结构方程模型结果表明:(1)无论顾客组还是员工组,环境设计、绿色产品、绿色宣传和绿色管理对个体亲环境行为具有显著正向影响;(2)地方依恋在绿色实践与亲环境行为之间具有中介效应,由于绿色产品对员工地方依恋无显著影响,导致员工组在此维度上的中介效应不显著,而其他中介效应均显著;(3)在绿色管理维度,地方依恋的中介效应存在显著的组间差异。该研究强调了酒店空间情境的作用,有利于丰富酒店内亲环境行为的研究,并对酒店的绿色运营管理具有一定的启示。  相似文献

本文选取禅宗少林音乐大典为研究对象,研究了入境游客对传统文化旅游产品的评价与整体满意度、推荐意识、再观赏意识之间的关系.通过因子分析法萃取出入境游客对传统文化旅游产品的评价因子为3项(传统性、教育性、魅力性);除职业变量之外,其他性别、年龄、学历、家庭收入、国籍等变量下,传统文化旅游产品的评价因子存在显著性的差异.多重回归分析验证了传统性因子、教育性因子、魅力性因子与游客的整体满意度、再观赏意识之间有显著的正相关关系;教育性因子、魅力性因子与推荐意识之间有显著的正相关关系.  相似文献

This study aims to develop a measurement scale for organizational career management (OCM) in China's hotel industry. The scale development procedure includes four steps: developing initial items, implementing purifying measures, data collection, and assessing the reliability and validity of the proposed measurement scale. Both exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) are used to test the reliability and validity of the measurement scale thus developed. The development process results in a reliable and valid scale for hotel career management incorporating three dimensions: (1) career appraisal and advice, (2) a career development program, and (3) career training. Given the scarcity of research on career management in China, the measurement scale developed in this study will serve as a foundation for future research. The findings of this study may help to stimulate further empirical research on the relationship between hotel career management and employees’ career commitment and career satisfaction.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Recently, higher education in Taiwan for the hospitality industry has grown dramatically. However, hospitality education is still considered a relative newborn in comparison with other programs. To develop effective programs, it would be appropriate to investigate competencies that influence career success in the hotel industry and the courses that nurture those important competencies.

A researcher-developed survey instrument was used to collect data from 200 industry professionals. Instrument reliability and validity were reported. The results revealed the competencies relating to communication and adaptability most influenced career success. Moreover, Finance/Marketing/Personnel Management, Foreign Languages, and Communications & Quality Management curriculum dimensions were significantly related to competencies of “communication skills & adaptation to environmental changes.”  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to identify top managers’ competencies in hotel unit leaders perceived to be most critical for career development, and using the Fuzzy Delphi and Analytic Hierarchy Process methods to determine perceptions of the importance of various competencies in different dimensions. This study uses snowball sampling methods to collect data from 25 hotel top managers and uses qualitative and quantitative surveys, including interviews, questionnaire review and a questionnaire survey. A two-stage research design is adopted to understand the differences in perceived competency requirements better. The analytical results demonstrate the required competencies of top managers in the hotel industry, and divide them into generic and technical dimensions, 18 competency domains, and 107 competency indices. The top three most important competency domains are “leadership,” “crisis management,” and “problem-solving.” The proposed management competency framework provides an important implication for educators, practitioners, and researchers.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationships between perceived hotel career management, career competency, and career satisfaction. It also aims to examine the mediating processes through which hotel career management contribute to employees’ career satisfaction. Results from structural equation modeling (SEM) show that career competency mediates the effects of three dimensions of hotel career management (career appraisal, career development, and career training) on career satisfaction. Individuals associated with the hotel industry often perceive career advancement obstacles for African and Hispanic Americans. These perceived obstacles include a lack of mentorship and a lack of promotion opportunity. Sixteen interviews among individuals associated with the hotel industry in the Washington, D.C. area contributed to this study. This study’s findings primarily highlight the participants’ perceptions of career advancement in the hotel industry for African and Hispanic Americans.  相似文献

Abstract

Ethnic minorities are underrepresented in hotel management. Ethnic minorities are not excluded from all management positions, just those that are considered crucial to the business. With inclusionary closure, ethnic minorities are given access to management positions in peripheral departments instead of those with key financial responsibilities. Demographic and career history data from 5549 hotel managers in 552 properties are used to access inclusionary closure as a process of new-racism and the creation of racialized jobs. Ethnic minorities had the least representation in positions that are critical in hotel operations, and we found evidence that job racialization, or the channeling of minorities into peripheral management positions, may be occurring in hotel management. This study's findings challenge the perceived progress of ethnic minorities in hotel management in the post-Civil Rights era in the specific context of hotel management.  相似文献

This study explores how virtual reality (VR) interventions mitigate daily negative mood spillover among hotel frontline employees through a daily dairy study. A within-subject field experiment was conducted to collect data from 87 hotel employees over ten consecutive workdays (846 daily responses). The multilevel analysis supports daily negative mood spillover by revealing positive relationships between negative moods before work and midday negative moods, and between midday negative moods and turnover intentions. Exposure to virtual natural scenes alleviates these daily positive relationships. Employees with high (vs. low) levels of trait mindfulness are less likely to be influenced by their negative moods before work when exposed to the VR intervention. This study advances our knowledge by integrating spillover theory, stress recovery theory, and mindfulness through a multilevel framework of employees’ daily emotional fluctuations moderated by VR interventions. The study findings provide hotel professionals with meaningful information regarding workplace stress management.  相似文献

Workaholism and its influence on hospitality managers’ recovery experience, well-being, and subjective career success was examined. Participants were hospitality managers in the hotel, foodservice, airline, and tourism industries in the United States. Data was collected at two time points and the results show that hospitality managers’ recovery experience has a positive relationship with well-being and subjective career success. Furthermore, the positive relationship between recovery experience and job satisfaction and the positive relationship between recovery experience and career satisfaction were found to be stronger for people who are high in workaholism. Theoretical and practical implications based on the results are discussed.  相似文献

Given the growing number of credit card transactions, data breaches have become an increasingly serious concern for hotel businesses. Even when a rival hotel experiences a data breach, customers of the focal hotel may feel vulnerable as well. Nevertheless, firms have little insight into the potential impacts of a data breach on customers and the corresponding recovery strategies. For this study, the joint effect of data breach locality (i.e., focal hotel vs. rival hotel) and error management (i.e., no vs. low vs. high EM) on customers’ attitudes toward the focal hotel and engagement behaviors (i.e., intentions to spread positive WOM and negative WOM) was examined. A 2 × 3 scenario-based experiment was conducted. The results of the MANCOVA analysis suggest that when a rival hotel is breached, low error management is more effective. Interestingly, when the focal hotel is breached, high error management and low error management are equally effective.  相似文献

This article investigates the career paths of hotel general managers (HGMs) in a developing country, namely Turkey. Based on an in-depth literature review, a questionnaire was developed and data were collected from 168 HGMs in Turkey. Compared to previous studies, this study found a higher percentage of female HGMs working in hotels. According to the research findings, almost half of the respondents received formal education in hospitality and tourism. The participating respondents most frequently reached the HGM position through working in the front office department and the food and beverage department. Honesty, interpersonal skills, and loyalty were found to be the top three characteristics that helped the participants become HGMs. In terms of required skills, communication, human relations, taking initiatives, and the ability to formulate plans were the top four skills for the participants in their career development. Finally, learning a foreign language, having a college degree, and developing long-term career goals were the top three personal development strategies. This is one of the first studies investigating HGMs career paths in a developing country and it offers specific theoretical and practical implications on this important topic.  相似文献
