An improved method for managing catastrophic supply chain disruptions

This article analyzes the differences between frequent and rare risks for supply chain disruptions, and proposes a new, improved risk measurement and prioritization method to account for the characteristics of rare risks. The varying idiosyncrasies of decision makers are integrated into this method such that risk management can be brought into alignment with an individual manager's preferences. Also woven into this tapestry is the notion of detection, which is familiar to those who have applied failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), but novel in the arena of supply chain risk management. Rare risks in the supply chain are, by their nature, unsettling: unforeseen disruptions are always present, probability estimates are imprecise, and comprehensive data collection is impossible. These difficulties are taken into account by the presented risk management framework. While the proposed ordinal scales are perhaps unsettling to many who desire greater precision, measurement methods must fit the precision that is possible. By considering rare risks along with frequent risks, managers can be better positioned to deal with the unforeseen.

稀土是一种重要的不可再生资源,积极探索其出口管制程度的最优调整路径,有利于中国在一系列限制条件下获取最大经济利益。通过用变分法对最优调整路径进行模拟结果表明,当政府要加强出口管制,采取先慢后快的管制调整策略有助于稀土行业企业获取最大经济利益,当政府需要放松稀土出口管制时,采取逐步加大放松管制幅度的方式有助于稀土行业企业获取最大经济利益。

Proposal for a model for the elaboration of ethical codes based on discourse ethics

This article presents a model for the procedure of elaboration of an effective ethical code. Taking as the starting point the concept of business ethics as critical hermeneutics, we describe a process which will lead to the creation of a document that is truly ethical and efficient. We believe the elaboration of an ethical code should follow a definite procedure, and that the process is as important as the result, but we also add that in order for the process to be a truly rational dialogue it is necessary to make efforts to ensure the participation of truly valid interlocutors who can represent their interests in conditions that are as close as possible to an ideal community of dialogue. Our model for the elaboration of an ethical code attempts to break with the conventional distinction between processes of elaboration and application in order to develop a truly integrative ethics, while also giving attention to the concrete conditions in which the ethical code is developed. In our view the contribution made by this model is the emphasis it places on the transformation of the will of the participants in the dialogue.     

市场经济地位的确立与我国补贴制度的完善之研究

中国的市场经济地位确认已经指日可待,然而,我国目前对出口企业的补贴制度并没有完全符合世贸组织多边贸易规则的要求。虽然市场经济地位确立以后,中国政府在反倾销应诉中将拥有更多的话语权,中国出口产品遭遇反倾销制裁的风险也会有所减弱。但是与此同时,中国出口产品遭受反补贴制裁的可能性会大大增加。尽快完善我国的补贴制度,使之与多边贸易体制相衔接,这是我们目前急迫需要解决的问题。     

The study of business ethics: A case for Dr Seuss

This paper provides an example of how narrative literature can be used to teach management ethics within management education. The place of narrative literature in the study of organisations generally is considered, and it is suggested that such material can provide non‐traditional cases for teaching purposes. Dr. Seuss's The Lorax is chosen as an example of a story with which students can empathise. The 'case' is analysed using an ethical decision‐making framework. As part of this analysis a number of theoretically based ethical issues are discussed so as to illustrate the range and depth of ethical issues that can be raised by such a simple narrative. It is concluded that although The Lorax is not a novel, it contains a richness of texture which makes it very useful for management education. Arguments for the legitimisation of the use of narrative fiction in conjunction with traditional cases for management education are presented in conclusion.     

论商标平行进口问题对我国国际贸易的影响

商标平行进口问题一直争议较大 ,在我国情况也是如此。随着我国对外开放的深入和加入世界贸易组织后 ,及实践中这类案件发生呈上升趋势的形势 ,这一问题越来越引起人们的关注。对商标平行进口问题及对我国国际贸易的影响进行分析 ,提出以“原则上禁止商标平行进口行为的同时 ,一定条件下例外地允许平行进口。”为指导完善我国相关法律的建议。
