台商投资大陆新趋势

近20年来,在台湾对外投资中,大陆占有绝对重要的地位,并且所占地区比重越来越大。海峡两岸经济合作框架协议(ECFA)的签署为台商投资大陆奠定了环境面和制度面的基本框架,ECFA的效果已经显现。本文认为台湾投资大陆新趋势表现在以下四个方面:第一,两岸政府政策将直接影响台资西进大陆;第二,台商投资大陆市场本地化趋势日益明显;第三,台湾在大陆的投资还将以技术密集型的出口导向行业为主,但服务业将成为台资进入大陆的新动力;第四,台商投资大陆在地域分布上出现了分散化趋势,台资将加速西上北进的步伐。

台商最看重的大陆投资城市

前段时间．—份题为“2003年中国大陆地区投资环境与风险调查”的报告引起海峡两岸的普遍关注。原因有二：一、由于这份报告是由台湾区电机电子工业同业公会主持和发布的，较为系统地披露了祖国大陆一些地方在台商眼中的实际投资价值．因而基本上可以被认为是新一轮台资在大陆走向的指南。二、报告结果变动令人惊异．杭州萧山在2003年已跃居祖国大陆台商投资环境第一名。     

Emerging Trends in the Food Distribution System

Abstract

Two trends, the drive for differentiation and the clamor for collaboration, are emerging from intermediaries in the food distribution system. Differentiation by large manufacturers and retailers will encourage more direct marketing by farmers. Although differentiation by manufacturers creates entry barriers for small firms, differentiation by retailers may open opportunities. Some collaboration initiatives will increase the supply chain efficiency up to the retailer, but adoption rates of collaborative technologies by stores will likely be slow. With more differentiation, consumers will have greater choice. Some technologies that could boost the efficiency of the food distribution system may be resisted by consumers.

台商对大陆投资地区性聚集的实证研究

本文用2000-2006年省级面板数据研究了台商对大陆投资地区性聚集的决定因素。研究结果表明:(1)资源禀赋、交通运输条件、工资水平和市场规模对台商大陆投资地区性聚集有显著的促进作用;(2)对外开放度对台商大陆投资地区性聚集有负的影响;(3)沿海地区具有台商投资地区性聚集的地理优势。在此基础上,提出了对台招商引资的建议。     

投资的指南合作的窗口

在经济全球化的今天,以市场扩张为基础的经济活动对投资促进提出了更高的要求。从长远来看,投资促进也算得上是一个新行业,在80年代到90年代,随着全球经济的不断开放,随着外商直接投资在世界各地的显著增长,投资促进业迅速崛起。联合国贸易与发展委员会的一项调查表明,在1999年的投资促进机构中,有70％都是在前十年的时间里建立起来的。

Trade in Educational Services: Trends and Emerging Issues

This paper examines the trends and emerging issues in trade in educational services. It provides rough estimates of the size of the international market in educational services drawing on the limited data available in services trade statistics and data on foreign students in tertiary education in OECD countries. It outlines the current commitments for trade in educational services under the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS). It also reviews the implications of the on‐going GATS negotiations for further multilateral trade liberalisation in this sector. It points out that OECD countries have been noticeably reluctant to make proposals for further liberalisation of trade in educational services. One reason for this is the concern in many countries about the potential threats posed to cultural values and national traditions by growing trade liberalisation in educational services. Finally, the paper reviews some of the main policy issues arising from trade in educational services.     

Emerging Profiles of Polish Outward Foreign Direct Investment

In this study, the authors identify the emerging profiles of Poland's outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) at the macro- and micro-levels and propose relevant policy measures. They also set up a theoretical framework for further investigation of the identified trends and patterns. Both types of analysis—macro and micro—point to a regional focus of Poland's OFDI on Europe and to a sectoral concentration on services, followed by manufacturing. At the same time, the micro-analysis reveals a dominant role of a few largest Polish multinationals in the country's OFDI.
