Abstract

This study examines the effect of the mood induced by television program content on subjects' evaluations of commercials. Specifically, happy or sad commercials are viewed in the context of a television program designed to induce these respective moods. The competing predictions of Mood Congruence Theory versus the Consistency Effect are examined to interpret the results. For all dependent measures considered, findings were in accordance with a Consistency Effect interpretation of the results. For two such measures (i.e., liking for the commercial and purchase intention) the Consistency Effect was statistically supported. Hence for these measures, it was found that a happy commercial viewed in the context of a happy program was evaluated more favorably than the same commercial viewed after exposure to a sad program. For the sad commercial, the reverse effects for these measures were evident as this commercial performed more favorably in the context of a sad program relative to a happy one. The dominance of a Consistency Effect interpretation of the results over that of Mood Congruence are interpreted in the context of advertising strategy.  相似文献

基于商业类国企运营治理过程中政府股东、社会股东对商业类国企高管的双委托代理关系,及政府股东与社会股东在经济效益创造、社会福利创造与政策性义务承担的异质性诉求,本文构建了异质委托情境下的商业类国企三边治理模型。通过将政府股东的解聘补偿机制引入到模型设计,探讨各利益主体的行为选择。研究发现:政府股东解聘倾向对三边治理结构具有双重影响。随着政府股东解聘倾向的增加,政府股东在经济效益创造上的努力投入先上升后下降,并抑制了商业类国企高管、社会股东努力投入水平及政府股东社会福利创造上的努力投入;解聘补偿机制的引入可以有效规制各方不道德行为;商业类国企高管承担政策性义务一定损害其他参与方利益的说法不成立,随着其经济努力投入的增加,其他各参与方利益由损转益。  相似文献

效率是衡量银行资源配置和经营成效的重要指标,效率分析可以从定量的角度评价我国国有商业银行在改革过程中的经营水平和改革成效.本文采用非参数分析的数据包络分析方法DEA,使用C2R模型对我国国有商业银行进行了两组DEA分析.分析结果显示,我国国有商业银行改革有一定的成效,但阶段性非常明显,突出表现在1994-1997年和2003-2004年.改革过程中的银行经营效率与政府的政策推动和扶持有相当紧密的关系.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to extend prior research on this topic by investigating whether the impact of ownership concentration moderates the link between corporate social performance (CSP) and financial performance (FP). This study uses a set of unique, hand-collected pollution control data to measure CSP, based on a sample of Taiwanese listed companies during the period from 1996 to 2006. The results of the empirical analysis provide firm support for the idea that the divergence between control rights and the cash flow rights of controlling owners negatively moderates the link between social and short- and long-run FP.  相似文献

随着金融环境快速变化以及金融业务不断创新,当前商业银行审计工作已跟不上现实需要,推进绩效审计是商业银行审计适应变化的现实选择。本文论述了以风险调整技术(RAROC)为基础的金融绩效评估方法,并将这一技术引入到商业银行绩效审计,构建了基于风险调整技术的商业银行绩效审计评价分析框架。本文最后提出了运用RAROC技术对商业银行进行全面风险管理审计、资本配置效率审计以及经营绩效审计的解决思路。  相似文献

This article investigates the priming effect of news context on Chinese college students' brand attitudes. The first experiment examined the effects of domestic news topics and news negativity and found that exposure to positive Chinese product news led to lower attitude scores for Nike. The second experiment employed a news piece on China–U.S. trade relations and tested whether different news sources (the Chinese press, the U.S. press, and a combination of Chinese and U.S. press) had the same effect on Chinese brand attitudes. It located a significant effect of news source on Chinese attitudes toward Coca-Cola and Nike.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to investigate the impact of information communication technologies (ICT) and innovation activities on firm performance using the Business Environment Enterprise Performance Survey (BEEPS) firm-level data in the three rounds: 2002, 2005, and 2008. The novelty of this research is based on the idea of studying the usage of ICT and innovation activities on firm performance by using dynamic approach so that we can estimate the adjustments that arise from the impact of ICT and innovation activities. The rapid technological development and the growing use of information technology (IT) in business organizations have become the center of attention in past few years. A bulk of literature has been published on the use of IT in different industries, different types of business organizations, and in different areas of business management. On the other hand, the probability of the firm to undertake innovation activities has shown to enhance firm performance. This study implements various estimations on BEEPS observations to test whether the change in the usage of ICT and other innovation determinants have increase the probability of firms to undertake innovation activities. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Abstract

Although both international marketing theorists and practitioners have been expounding the importance of flexibility little or no research has been done to examine the effect of flexibility on export venture performance. Most of the research to date was directed towards examining the effect of flexibility on performance in the domestic context. Moreover, the studies in the literature also gave exclusive attention to the performance-enhancing effect of flexibility and ignored the moderating effects of organisational and environmental contingencies on the flexibility-performance relationship. This paper will present the results of a study that assessed the effect of flexibility on export performance.

The findings support the proposition that flexibility is significantly related to export performance but that environmental dynamism, legal forms of business ownership, international experience, control mechanism, and exporter-distributor cooperation have a moderating effect on the relationships between flexibility and export venture performance. The study also found that firms that were challenged by intense competitive rivalries, spent a lot of time and effort on monitoring foreign marketing activities, and had substantial cooperation with overseas distributors were more flexible in their manufacturing, marketing, financial, and organizational activities.  相似文献

在金融体制的不断改革与完善的背景下,我国很多商业银行都加大了上市的规模和上市的速度,截至目前我国已经有26家商业银行上市。最近几年来,我国宏观经济稳健发展、经济进入"新常态",经济增长速度变缓给银行业的经营发展带来了一定的压力。本文根据和运用因子分析方法,系统地研究了上市商业银行经营情况,结果显示:发展和盈利因子的方差贡献率分别为26.1%、24.2%,对最终排名起到决定性作用,安全和流动性因子也对综合排名产生显著影响。所以提高商业银行经营绩效必须从改善这四个方面入手。  相似文献

随着“一带一路”倡议的实施和粤港澳大湾区的建设,澳门经济多元化发展迎来了新的机遇。本文利用2012—2018年的澳门宏观经济数据和银行层面数据,探讨了经济多元化对银行破产风险及经营绩效的影响。结果表明,在现阶段随着澳门经济多元化水平的提升,澳门商业银行破产风险也随之上升,并且经济多元化也导致了澳门商业银行的经营绩效下滑。基于研究结论,我们为澳门经济多元化背景下的银行管理和政策制定提出了几点建议,以资参考。  相似文献

中国城市商业银行的股权结构具有明显的地方政府直接或通过一致行动人参股的特点,研究这种股权结构与银行绩效之间的关系及其作用机制具有重要意义。本文以2006—2010年间我国非上市城市商业银行为样本,从样本银行网站和金融时报采集数据,设置虚拟变量,构建多元回归模型,实证分析了地方政府、地方融资平台与地方城市商业银行的股权结构、信贷结构、绩效关系及传导机制。本文认为,从短期看,地方城市商业银行背靠政府这一特殊股东,有利于保证其初始成长。但因为地方政府可能出于地方利益和官位升迁的特殊考虑,存在掏空地方城市商业银行的欲望和能力,因此从长期看,应当改变地方政府对城商行的控制局面。同时,要拓宽地方政府融资渠道,完善融资平台运行机制,保证融资平台的还款来源,控制地方金融风险。  相似文献

Although program involvement is often found to be an important determinant of commercial recall, studies have produced mixed results. The authors contend that inconsistent findings are, in large part, a result of the degree to which respondents are free to determine their exposure to commercials. It is hypothesized that in studies where exposure is not forced, program involvement has a positive effect on commercial recall. This proposition was examined during the broadcast of four matches of the 2000 European Soccer Championship (N = 344). Results show that viewers who saw a highly involving match recalled commercials significantly better than those who saw matches that scored lower on program involvement. This effect was, in large part, mediated by respondents' exposure to the commercials.  相似文献

The research reported in this article examines the influence of the organizational context of firm on their entrepreneurship. Specifically, this study examines how the organizational context variables of age, size, resources and competitive strategy affect entrepreneurship and in particular, innovation, proactiveness and risk-taking. Results from a sample of 233 firms showed, as hypothesized, the significant influence of resources and competitive strategy on entrepreneurship. However, size and age were not significant.  相似文献
