Meeting Cambodia＇s Needs ---The 3rd China Auto Intemational Exhibition Tour

China Auto International Exhibition Tour was first held in 1995, a significant and important pioneering premier. In fact, the first session of the tour was more appropriately called ＂National Exhibition Tour＂, since the tour team only traveled within Chinas borders. 28 cars and motorcycles from four major domestic automakers took 20 days to travel around half of China. This exhibition tour was held at the time when Chinas auto industry was just about to take off, and turned out to be incredibly successful with profound influence to both the vehicle industry and the developing market.     

Russia's China Year Embraces Chinese Auto to Russia——The 5th China Auto International Exhibition Tour

2007 was the Russia＇s China Year, and one of big events for the remarkable year was the 5th China Auto International （Russia） Exhibition Tour. The tour flamed up the Chinese heat in this Eastern European nation. In 2006, Russia ranked the first largest country that imported autos from China, an impressive leap from that of the 2005, which was only ranked 6th. Therefore, when the organizing committee decided that the 5th China Auto International Exhibition Tour would be held in Russia, many automakers showed great interests.     

China-Japan-Korean Summit：New Barometer for East Asian Cooperation

On December 13, 2008, China- Japan-Korean Summit was held in Fukuoka, Japan. The summit, which was greatly different from the previously eight summits held in the framework of ASEAN plus China, Japan and South Korean, that is 10＋3, was confined to only these three countries and it＇s the first time for them to do so. It happened to be China＇s first foreign activity after the opening of the Central Economic Working Conference in the same month and explained its new economic policy and measures in 2009. In addition, it＇s the first time for three main economic entities to meet after the breakout of the global financial crisis, Thus financial and economic affairs were the core issues of the summit.     

The 4^th China International [Syria] Auto Exhibiton Tour

On April 23, 2006, the Opening Cer emony of ＂FotonCup＂ the Fourth China International （Syria） Auto Exhibition Tour （CIAET） was held in Damascus. Syrian Minister of Economy and Trade, Director of Syrian Chamber of Commerce, Iraqi Ambassador to Syria, Chinese Ambassador to Syria, Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor＇s Office of the Embassy of P. R. China in Syria attended the ceremony.     

A Retrospective Review

As an important pioneering undertaking, China Auto International Tour was held for the first time in 1995. At that time, 28 cars and motorcycles from China's four major manufacturing groups in astronau- tics, aeronautics, weapons and general logistics sectors took 20 days to travel around half of the country. This exhibition tour turned out a great success and was of great significance when China's auto industry began to take off. In 2003, the 2nd China Auto International Tour arrived in Vietnam. Our motorcades received highly praise all in their way. Some Vietnamese exclaimed "China No.1" when they saw China made large-scaled coaches, SUVs and mini vehicles for the first time. In the following year, Chinese automaker including FAW, DFM, Changan Motor and JAC seized the opportunities to further explore this market. In May, 2004, Vietnamese President attended the signing ceremony between Chinese carmakers DFM and Yuchai and their counterpart Vietnam Da Nang Machinery Company.

It can be said that the auto industry has seen a big shakeup since the breakout of the financial crisis last year, whether in China or in western countries. In order to help the auto industry keep its steady development, the Chinese government formulated the Automobile Industry Restructuring.and Revitalization Plan. Many other related institutes also took measures to assist the development of this industry. The China Auto International Exhibition Tour, organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation （CMIF） and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade （CCPIT）, has been engaged in introducing China＇s automobiles to the world and promoting the worldwide recognition of Chinese auto brands since 1995. Now, as the 7th China Auto International Exhibition Tour is about to begin, China＇s Foreign Trade interviewed Zhang Xiaoyu, Vice Chairman of CMIF, about the current status of the auto industry in China and China＇s auto exports in 2009.

On March 22, 2006, the press con ference of "Foton Cup" the Fourth China International (Syria) Auto Exhibition Tour was held in Beijing. Yu Zhen, Chairman of China Machinery Industry Federation sent his congratulations words to the organization committee. Zhang Xiaoyu, Vice Chairman of China Machinery Industry Federation addressed on the conference. Festival of Metal-Glass Furniture

A long with the increasing demand in China＇s real estate, requirements on house decoration raise .the taste as well. Nowadays. furniture is far more than what we see in grandma＇s living room. Metal furniture attracts many eyeballs because of its shinning luster. From September 16 to 18, a special fair in metal-glass furniture was held in Shengfang International Furniture Centre, Shengfang Town, Bazhou City, Hebei Province, and it was the second session of the fair already. Seeking China Capital for Investment in Iran Oil Refining

Influenced by the financial crisis, the overall bilateral trade volume between China and lran decreased .by 39% in the first quarter of 2009;however, the volume of Iran＇s exported crude oil to China has increased by 88% compared with the same period last year up to May of 2009, totaling 308.8 million tons. Iran, as the world＇s No.5 crude exporter, replaced Saudi Arabia as China＇s largest oil supplier. At the same time, China, as the world＇s No.2 oil consumer, now imports half of the crude oil it consumes, and has become Iran＇s third largest customer.

Focus on the Green Competitiveness

On May 16, the International Forum of China＇s Eco Civilization and Green Competitiveness was held in the Great Hall of the People. The forum was co-hosted by CCPIT, CPPCC Economic Committee and State Forestry Administration. The 3rd Mudan Cup China International Auto Exhibition (Vietnam & Cambodia) was held in January 28, 2005 in Phnom Penh Hotel.
