Cinterion推出应用于VerizonWireless网络的多模M2M模块

金雅拓公司旗下子公司Cinterion日前宣布推出PXS8模块。这款新产品是业界首个工业级多模M2M模块，可实现全球语音和数据通信漫游。     

智能化的未来：从M2M到物联网

物联网并非一个新概念。比尔·盖兹在华盛顿湖畔的智能化豪宅,联想、长虹等国内厂商推出的闪联标准,国内外运营商推出的手机支付、路灯监控等M2M应用都是物联网的雏形。就如互联网之初也是由一个个局域网构成的,现有的M2M应用已经是物联网的构成基础。从M2M到物联网,已经为世界勾画出了一幅智能化的未来画卷。     

M2M：为移动互联带来新机遇

依托巨大的市场机遇,M2M（机器对机器）有望成为移动互联领域的又一个重要前沿。多达500亿的潜在＂连接数量＂将会形成一个庞大的市场。 根据Wireless Intelligence的统计,截至2008年年底,全球无线连接数量已超过40亿（包括拥有多个SIM卡的用户在内）,这是值得移动行业引以为荣的一个数据。然而,在M2M市场还蕴藏着超过500亿的潜在连接数量。根据Harbor Research公司的统计数据,全球无线M2M连接数量将从2008年的7300万增至2013年的4.3亿。对CDMA生态系统而言,这是一个近在眼前的重要机遇。 CDMA 2000 1X网络在支持M2M通信方面扮演着重要角色,因为CDMA网络的覆盖几乎无所不在,而且CDMA网络目前支持高达153kbps的数据传输速率,未来更是达到307kbps的数据传输速率,这对于满足大多数M2M应用来说绰绰有余。

M型社会移动营销战略蝶变

基于对日本社会的观察,日本战略之父大前研一提出日本已经进入M型社会、中国的台湾也已经步入M型社会的结论。什么是"M型社会"?"M型社会"是指在全球化的趋势下,富者在数字世界中大赚全世界的钱,财富快速增加;而随着资源的重新分配,中产阶级因为失去竞争力,沦落至中下阶层,整个社会的财富分配在中间这块忽然有了很大的缺口。与"M"的字形一样,整个世界分成了三块,左边的穷人增多,右边的富人也增多,中间部分则出现"塌陷"。随着经济的发展,中国的中产阶级也将伴随竞争力的丧失而出现"塌陷","穷者越穷,富者越富"已经成为这个时代的特征与写照。在通信行业,部分发达省市的消费已逐渐向两端扩展:一边是广大的社会大众追求"低价优质"的产品和服务,另一边则是少部分富裕消费者追求时尚品味以及凸现其地位的产品与服务。M型社会的特征要求电信运营商紧合时代节拍,做好营销转型,如此,运营商的营销战略才能实现持续成功。

7巨头成立M2M联盟 全球7家移动通信运营商日前宣布，就迅速增长的M2M（机对机）通信市场建立联盟。这7家运营商分别是荷兰的KPN、西班牙电信、日本的NTTDoCoMo、澳大利亚电信、俄罗斯的VimpelCom、新加坡电信和加拿大的Rogers。

移动通信巨头沃达丰近日推出了一款新的M2M（机器到机器通信）平台．旨在快速增长的M2M市场中争取更多的份额。

A discussion about freedom of speech – such as the one arising from the publication of Muhammad caricatures in a Danish newspaper in 2006 – is of special importance in a democracy as it touches upon one of its elemental values. This article studies the debate on the value of freedom of speech as well as its potential dangers as it developed in the German newspapers after the publication of the caricatures. A quantitative content analysis was carried out encompassing all arguments posed in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Süddeutsche Zeitung and the tageszeitung. During the cartoon controversy, the discussion was only partly pluralistic. The limits to freedom of speech were elaborately put into question, the need to protect the freedom was highlighted, and threats to the freedom were covered. However, the benefits to be gained from a system of freedom of opinion were hardly present in the arguments put forth in the newspapers. An assessment of restraints or benefits mainly took place among the journalists themselves, who not only played the part of a messenger in the conflict, but were also an interested party in it. From these results, a conclusion is drawn on the consideration of freedom of speech as a core value of democracy.

Rechtliche Möglichkeiten der Qualitätssicherung im Journalismus

For some time, there has been a discussion on the necessity of a quality management, especially for newspapers. In Switzerland, this led to a proposal to add the goal of securing the quality of press coverage to the constitution. In an interdisciplinary perspective, this article attempts to describe a change in the German constitutional court’s concept of the public, the concept the court based its decisions on. It then argues the potential of, and the necessity for, a judicial basis for quality management in journalism. To be considered are: public funding, the introduction of auditioning procedures, the observation by an independent foundation, but also the specification of demands for care in liability cases according to the degrees of quality management in journalists’ research.
