Shared knowledge and product design glitches in integrated product development

Product development processes based on the joint collaboration of the cross-functional team, suppliers, and customers can minimize project glitches. Glitches in the product development project can cause project cost over-runs and delay a project past when first mover advantages are possible. While previous theoretical work has suggested a negative relationship between shared knowledge and product development glitches, empirical studies have not identified how different types of shared knowledge are associated with each other and the design glitches. This study proposes a model of the relationship between specific types of shared knowledge and design glitches in integrated product development (IPD) projects. We test our model using a sample of 191 projects from the automotive industry in the United States. The major findings were that: (1) shared knowledge of the development process can be built by improving a team's shared knowledge of customers, suppliers, and internal capabilities, (2) shared knowledge of the development process for a project reduces product design glitches, and (3) reduced product design glitches improve product development time, cost, and customer satisfaction.

基于以太网接口的电源变换器的设计

以太网是现有局域网中最通用的通信协议标准,而以太网电源是以太网的基础设备。本文设计了一种基于以太网接口的15W DC/DC电源变换器模块电路。该电源由以太网接口电路和高效率DC/DC电源变换器2部分组成,模块中包含PoE识别信号阻抗、“0”类类型电路,采用MOSFET开关时,电源变换器的效率高达88％,PoE接口的效率可达97%以上。

A conceptual model for knowledge dimensions and processes in design and technology projects

The present study sheds new light on the knowledge dimensions and processes that occur when designing new concepts and prototypes in higher education. In particular, this study aims to develop the conceptual understanding of activities and processes that help students to gain new knowledge and understanding while designing new products and services. I employed two data collection phases among undergraduate students with qualitative abductive data analyses in order to create a conceptual framework for understanding how new knowledge is created and managed in students’ social interactions. This framework also enables us to distinguish the user, business, technological and methodological knowledge dimensions that constitute the elemental perspectives for design processes. This study emphasises the need for students to use diverse methods to gain new knowledge for inventing and designing new technological solutions.

利用CAXA实体设计的自定义参数化零件功能构造三维模型并定义相关变量,通过CAXA实体设计提供的与Excel表格的动态链接,由预建在Excel环境下的表格数据驱动三维模型,实现蝶阀产品零部件的参数化设计。     

基于巴戟天配方颗粒的标准汤剂特征图谱

为了使巴戟天配方颗粒的质量标准更加科学规范,通过对15批产自不同地区的巴戟天饮片进行标准汤剂的制备,以及对标准汤剂干膏粉进行研究,确定了巴戟天标准汤剂的出膏率范围;采用高效液相色谱法对主含成分耐斯糖进行了含量测定,研究了巴戟天配方颗粒的HPLC特征图谱分析方法,并对特征谱图中的水晶兰苷进行了指认。结果表明,在以流动相作为提取溶剂、甲醇-水(二者体积比为3∶97)为流动相的条件下,耐斯糖含量的转移率范围为73.21%～94.49%,标准汤剂出膏率范围为49.05%～55.87%。基于巴戟天配方颗粒的标准汤剂特征图谱研究方法严谨、可行,更加科学地阐明了配方颗粒与标准汤剂研究的一致性。     

基于SolidWorks的斗式提升机的优化设计

为了降低斗式提升机的破碎率,以某公司30型批式循环谷物干燥机斗式提升机作为研究对象,在分析实际应用中所出现问题的基础上,通过优化设计,将斗式提升机的提升速度由优化前的2.17m/s降低为优化后的1.60m/s;同时,通过对卸料过程的理论分析,利用作图法根据抛粮轨迹,对头轮罩壳的形状和几何尺寸进行了优化设计,将头轮罩壳的长和高分别由原来的758mm和282mm增大为优化后的1 218mm和500mm,减少了谷物与头轮罩壳的碰撞;并运用SolidWorks建模,对提升机驱动轴进行了静态分析。通过对比优化前后斗式提升机的运转试验,发现优化后的斗式提升机运行平稳,粮食的破碎率增值下降到0.28%。     

乙烯污水回用循环水方案及效果评价

为实现化工区污水回用循环水系统,中国石油化工股份有限公司广州分公司通过对比分析,提出轻污分流,污污分治的处理思路,实现污水达标回用循环水,并通过摸索循环水系统使用污水作为补充水后的水质处理方案和管理经验,实现循环水系统的稳定运行.

An electronic engineering curriculum design based on concept-mapping techniques

Curriculum design is a concern in European Universities as they face the forthcoming European Higher Education Area (EHEA). This process can be eased by the use of scientific tools such as Concept-Mapping Techniques (CMT) that extract and organize the most relevant information from experts’ experience using statistics techniques, and helps a working group to achieve conclusions. This paper presents an empirical exploratory research study related to the application of the CMT to the design of the Electronic Engineering (EE) Degree at the University of Seville, Spain. Considering the Career-space conclusions as the initial point, the main relevant competences were identified in a brainstorming technique. These competences are organized according to their affinity using CMT, establishing and interpreting the main clusters and their relative importance. Finally, a reliability analysis of the concept maps was carried out verifying the correctness of the procedure and validating the results for the curricula adaptation. This Project has been funded by the Spanish PAFPU (“Plan Andaluz de formación del profesorado universitario”), from the Quality Assurance Agency for Andalucía Unversities, (UCUA).

The Alvey Programme—intelligent knowledge based systems aspects

The paper describes the aims and activities of the UK Government-financed programme on advanced information technology known as the Alvey Programme. Essentially, Alvey supports four areas from a total grant of 200 million spread over 5 years from 1983: software engineering, man-machine interface, VLSI and intelligent knowledge-based systems (IKBS). The whole is managed by the Alvey Directorate of which the author is a director.
On IKBS the Alvey strategy is to increase university/industry collaborative research, promote markets for IKBS products and increase the supply of skilled manpower. They are financing four large-scale demonstrator projects: a speech-input work station, design-to-product system, decision-support system and mobile information systems. Each is being undertaken by a consortium of industry/academic interests. Among current smaller-scale projects are flight simulators and fault diagnosis systems for the internal combustion engine and transmissions. Another important set of activities consists in strengthening the infra-structure via standardisation of hardware, software and languages. The directorate also carries out general promotional and educational activities.
