饭店业与地区社会经济状况和自然环境有着密切的关系,因此立足于区域实际情况对饭店运行效率做出评价具有重要意义.文章从饭店自身投入与建设水平、旅游地吸引力和目的地接待和服务能力以及水平3个方面分析了饭店业与地区发展耦合机制,并相应地运用数据包络方法(data envelopment analysis,DEA)和超效率DEA对我国31个省区2012年饭店业运行效率进行了评价,超效率DEA解决了最优评价单元排序问题.结果表明,当前饭店自身投入主要影响饭店技术效率,而旅游地吸引力和目的地接待和服务能力则会影响饭店运营的规模效率和综合效率.对很多省区来说,协调饭店业与其他行业部门之间的发展关系比饭店自身管理和投入更为普遍和重要.在投入方面,人员投入是影响饭店业运营效率进一步提高的主要因素.另外,有些省份面临饭店业规模报酬递减问题,需要慎重考虑地区的饭店业建设规模.  相似文献

绿色饭店的建设不仅要靠饭店自身的努力,也需要顾客的积极配合。为了解饭店顾客对绿色饭店品牌和绿色环保行为的认知程度,分析绿色饭店认知与消费意愿之间的关系,考察顾客个人特质与绿色饭店认知程度和绿色环保措施认可程度的关系,本研究对国内饭店业顾客的消费态度和意愿进行了实地调研。研究结果表明:目前我国饭店顾客有一定的绿色消费意识,但并未完全转化为真正的绿色消费行为,且不同的顾客之间存在较大差异。  相似文献

目前新生代员工已经成为我国饭店业员工队伍的主力,研究饭店新生代员工离职问题具有重要的现实意义.文章在理论研究的基础上,对员工感知价值及感知利得、感知利失构面与组织承诺、家庭支持、离职意愿之间的关系进行理论假设,构建了员工感知价值对离职意愿的影响机制模型;运用实证研究方法,对中国10个省(直辖市)的83家饭店的1807名新生代员工进行问卷调查,并对调研数据进行数理统计分析.结果表明:饭店新生代员工感知价值及其感知利得、感知利失构面显著影响离职意愿;在饭店新生代员工感知价值与离职意愿之间,组织承诺起部分中介作用;在饭店新生代员工感知价值与离职意愿之间,家庭支持起调节作用.最后,从优化员工感知价值视角提出防控饭店新生代员工离职的建议.  相似文献

This study aims at proposing to test a research model to gain a better understanding of the relationships among the dimensions of experiential quality, green experiential satisfaction, green alternative attractiveness, green service fairness, green variety-seeking, and green switching intentions. The study's findings are based on structural equation model analysis of a convenience sample of 650 attendees at the 13th International Green Building and Energy-Savings Exhibition 2016 in Chongqing, China. The results of this analysis contribute to the services marketing theory by providing additional insights into green switching intentions, the dimensions of experiential quality, green experiential satisfaction, green alternative attractiveness, green service fairness, and green novelty-seeking. The study's results will assist green convention management in developing and implementing market-orientated service strategies to increase the dimensions of experiential quality and green experiential satisfaction, enhance green alternative attractiveness, green service fairness, and green novelty-seeking, and decrease green switching intentions.  相似文献

In the present research, the process of vacationers’ pro-environmental decision formation for environmentally responsible museums was examined. This research employed and broadened the value-belief-norm theory, using satisfaction with green product use, green trust, and frequency of past behavior for green product use as predictors. A structural equation modeling was utilized for modeling comparisons and hypothesis testing. A measurement model tested using the data gathered at museums was found to satisfactorily fit to the data. Newly integrated constructs significantly improved the prediction power of the theory. In addition, results of the structural equation modeling generally supported the proposed relationships. Moreover, a salient role of moral norm was identified. As expected, new environmental paradigm, awareness of consequences, ascribed responsibility, and moral norm played an important mediating role. A parsimonious model with greater prediction power than the original value-belief-norm theory was produced through modeling comparisons and the process of testing relationships among research variables. Our results offer a sufficient understanding of vacationers’ pro-environmental intention for eco-friendly museums.  相似文献

Although many companies in the hotel industry aim to pursue more sustainable and socially responsible practices, the present literature shows mixed results with regard to tourist reactions to such moves, especially for the service quality perception impacted by implemented green practices and the willingness to pay more for such actions. Unlike previous research examining tourists’ preferences for separate green hotel attributes, this study identifies the determinants of tourists’ choice of green hotel attributes. Additionally, the study measures the willingness to pay (WTP) for such services, in the context of the Taiwanese market, using the stated preference of combined green hotel attribute scenarios. A multinomial logit (MNL) model is employed to estimate the relative influence of behavioral and facility attributes on choice behavior. Furthermore, the study examines determinants influencing respondents’ choice of green hotel attributes. A latent variable class model (LVCM) approach is applied in the estimation of the unobserved heterogeneity, and a total of 390 valid respondents were used in the analysis. The empirical MNL results indicate that while tourists prefer luxury rooms and the provision of personal toiletries, they are also willing to accept reduced service quality. Additionally, sex, income, and age have significant influences on tourist choice behavior. The results of the LVCM model demonstrate that respondents with high levels of the green consumption trait are more likely to choose hotels that have a greater number of environmentally friendly attributes. The implicit amount that tourists are willing to pay for room quality is around US$13, for the provision of personal toiletries is about US$22, and for service quality is US$12, but they also require a discount of approximately US$11 in order to accept the common practices of green hotels. This study is useful in providing the hotel industry and government with quantitative information that can be used to develop and implement better green hotel policies.  相似文献

Environmental sustainability has become an important concern in staging meetings and events. This paper introduces the Convention Industry Council's Green Meetings Report and goes on to investigate whether prior knowledge and educational experiences related to environmental sustainability are influential factors in planners’ commitment to engaging in ecologically friendly behavior. Using a nine-point questionnaire, 278 delegates at North America's largest one-day event for meeting planners were sampled. Regression analysis showed that the intention to implement green meeting practices is positively influenced by both prior knowledge of and educational experience with greening practices. In particular, educational experiences were found to be a strong influential factor contributing to meeting planners’ intention to implement green meeting practices. By providing operational definitions of knowledge and education, it proves that knowledge gained by an unstructured format was less effective than the impact of education on green intention. Accordingly, this study not only highlights academic discussions on environmental knowledge-building through formal education but also derives managerial implications for the meeting and event industry by outlining ways to incorporate continuing professional education in sustainable meetings and events. A range of ideas for the content of that professional education is presented, along with the possibilities for e-learning.  相似文献

This study developed a scale to evaluate green food and beverage literacy (GFBL) among hospitality college students. The scale was developed using a six-stage scale development process. An expert survey was used to confirm the definition and domain of GFBL and the developed items. Using split questionnaire design, a pretest and initial survey were conducted to purify and confirm the validity of each literacy scale. An integrated survey was then administered to 250 senior hospitality college students to confirm the reliability and validity of the entire GFBL scale. Finally, a new set of 245 samples of data was used to examine the cross-validation of the entire GFBL scale. Based on the results of second-order confirmatory factor analysis using 60 items, eight literacy factors were identified. The results indicated that the most crucial factor of GFBL is individual consumer behavior pertaining to green food and beverage (GFB). Potential theoretical and practical applications of this scale are also discussed.  相似文献

Regardless of the role of customers in co-creating value with organizations, how customer involvement drives employees, particularly in the hospitality industry, to engage in green service innovative endeavors has been scarcely examined. This study seeks to uncover how and when customer green involvement nurtures green service innovative behavior among hotel employees. The dataset was formed from the responses from 519 employees and 84 managers working in Vietnam-based hotels and analyzed via multilevel structural equation modeling. The results demonstrated the role of hotel employees’ green information management motivations (i.e., green information proactiveness, transparency, and formality) in mediating the positive relationship between customer green involvement and employee green service innovative behavior. Internal green marketing orientation functioned as an enhancer for the effects of customer green involvement on green information management motivations. This research contributes to the stream of green behavior research by bringing together customer green involvement and green service innovative behavior in the hospitality literature and unraveling the mechanisms behind their relationship.  相似文献

This study surveyed customer perceptions about the environmentally friendly programs (i.e., green programs) in hotels and analyzed the degree to which such programs influenced customers' hotel selection. Data were collected from online travel communities by conducting Web-based online surveys. A total of members from 63 travel-related online communities participated in the survey. Multiple regression analysis results showed that the significant factors that affected client hotel selection were: Solid waste and water programs in guestrooms, energy programs, solid waste and water programs in housekeeping, and biodiversity programs. However, water program by customers' option did not influence customer decisions to stay at environmentally friendly hotels. Results also showed differences in customer awareness and demand for environmentally friendly hotels based on gender, income, and age.  相似文献

This paper suggests that the tourism industry does not have to become an economic loser following large disasters. Planning and mitigative efforts can position the industry to function after a disaster. We suggest that current planning can draw upon current general knowledge about disaster behavior. For example, altruism and mass convergence also affects the tourism industry following disaster. Role abandonment and panic do not happen after disaster. Finally, we suggest that a systematic research program can enhance the tourism industryÆs efforts to respond and recover form disaster.  相似文献
