高校图书馆在育人过程中具有十分重要的作用,它具有导向功能、塑造功能、示范功能、教育功能、激励功能。要充分发挥高校图书馆的育人功能,一是要做好图书采集工作,发挥＂好书＂的育人功能;二是营造良好的育人环境,发挥图书馆的情景陶冶功能;三是建设良好的图书馆文化,发挥先进文化的育人功能;四是提升图书馆工作人员素质,发挥示范教育功能。

通过分析高校图书馆服务育人的宗旨、服务育人涵义、服务和育人现状、在服务育人过程中的特点和优势来探讨高校图书馆服务育人的基本途径。

浅谈高校校园环境的育人功能

校园环境是高校硬件建设和文化建设的重要组成部分,校园环境除了为大学生提供一个优良的学习和生活环境,同时也发挥着十分重要的"环境育人"功能。校园环境一方面向大学生展示其优美、恬静、怡人及其深厚的文化特质,同时也用她的这些特点影响着大学生的审美情趣、身心健康、行为规范、学习热情,甚至能对学生的世界观产生积极的影响,高校校园作为大学生学习、生活的主要场所,将在整个大学时代对他们产生积极而深远的影响。     

老年宜居型城市环境探析——以西安市为例

随着我国人口老龄化的趋势越来越明显,城市将面临越来越多的矛盾和问题。从城市公共环境中的整体交通环境、出行购物环境、公共休闲环境等几个方面,对目前西安市城市环境的宜居性问题进行了分析,并提出了相应的改进方案;认为无论从城市整体规划的宏观操控上,还是从微观设施的具体配置上,将老年人生活的保障作为前提和依据,才能全面体现"尊老城市"的理念。     

Leveraging competitiveness upon national cultural traits: the management of people in Brazilian companies

This paper aims to discuss the leveraging of competitiveness upon cultural traits. Since the globalization process has raised a series of challenges for companies around the world, companies have sought to respond mainly through the adoption of management practices proved to be successful elsewhere. However, due to the anchoring of many management practices, especially those of human resources, in the socio-cultural context of a country, the import and/or transfer of management practices between different contexts risk resulting in changes which may be only superficial. There are, however, some exceptions. Some managers have chosen to build their companies' competitiveness through management practices firmly anchored on the cultural traits of their countries, instead of looking for practices from successful companies. This process is obviously not simple because it requires from company leaders first the capacity to re-signify the cultural trait in a different manner, i.e. to perceive it as a source of competitiveness for the company and, second, the competence to build a management practice upon this cultural trait so that it will leverage the competitiveness of the company. In order to illustrate how typical cultural traits from a country may leverage the competitiveness of a company, we present the case of Natura, a Brazilian cosmetics manufacturer, which has constructed much of its competitiveness through the adoption of management practices anchored in some typical Brazilian cultural traits. The analysis of the case demonstrates that this process of developing competitive management practices is feasible, but it must be based upon a solid system of values that the team leader practises or wants practised. Otherwise, it is unlikely that the management practices will stand or that people will be committed to them.

The devolution of HR to the line: Implications for perceptions of people management effectiveness

The devolution of human resource responsibilities from human resource managers to line managers is both a growing and global trend. A number of authors has suggested that there are positive as well as negative consequences of devolution. The current study conducted a survey of US human resource managers to explore the effect of devolution on human resource managers' perceptions of people management effectiveness in their organizations. Results revealed a positive effect of devolution on perceived people management effectiveness. However, this effect was qualified by an interaction between devolution and line support. Contrary to expectation, this interaction revealed that providing line managers with training and support for their human resource responsibilities had a greater positive impact on perceived effectiveness in organizations that had not devolved (non devolvers) compared to those that had (devolvers).     

Labour inclusion of people with disabilities in Spain: the effect of policies and human resource management systems

Abstract

This research answered the question of which elements, linked to HR management, facilitate the labour inclusion of people with disabilities. We analysed the existence of policies in different organizations, and the interaction between these policies and the adaptation of the human resource management systems in order to archive effective labour inclusion. Spanish Human Resource managers answered a questionnaire theoretically based on the Human System Audit model. Results showed that the existence of a strategic plan for the normalization of disability in the work environment effectively leads to high levels of inclusion. This is especially relevant for those organizations that have not adapted the systems of training, professional development and internal communication to people with disabilities. The added value and newness of this research lies in bringing empirical evidence on the role of a strategic plan to normalize disability in the work environment, a policy with an internal- and external-focus, as a diversity strategy roadmap in the framework of an inclusive culture.
