对我国炼油化工一体化发展的几点思考

20世纪80年代以来,炼油化工一体化的发展对我国炼油工业是一个很大的促进,已成为炼油业发展的重要动力。但随着油品和石油化工产品需求的快速增长,特别是化工原料需求的增长超过油品需求的增长速度,汽车工业发展和环境保护均对油品质量提出了更高要求,我国油品与化工原料在数量平衡、质量兼顾、成本变化、经济效益等诸多方面存在的矛盾和问题将逐渐显现且日益突出。从我国炼油业的实际出发,保障交通运输和国防用油是首要目标,化工原料油只能有限增长,各类炼厂应有不同的发展目标。石油化工发展不能受炼厂的制约,需要通过进口裂解原料、走出国门在资源地建厂等寻求新的发展途径。

亚太炼油行业周期性波动及应对策略

炼油毛利和负荷率是反映炼油业周期性波动的两个重要指标。1990年以来,亚太地区炼油业的周期性高点大致出现在1991年、1996年、2000年,一般间隔期为4～5年。从目前的产品供应、需求及炼厂扩能情况分析,炼油业正处于持续的景气周期当中,预计未来几年炼油毛利仍将维持在较高水平。在持续景气阶段,炼油企业需要保持清醒的头脑,未雨绸缪积极采取措施以应对周期性变化。一是要从全球着眼,做到谨慎投资;二是实行原料低成本和产品价值最大化;三是发展油化一体化,提高抵御周期性波动的能力;四是发展和优化“商业炼油”运作,把握炼油周期的主动权;五是以能源供应中心定义未来炼厂,实现“超周期”经营。

优化混合碳五组分色谱分析

中原油田分公司石油化工总厂的5万吨/年的轻烃装置是生产混合碳五、混合丙丁烷等产品的特色装置,以中原油田轻烃为原料,主要产品为混合碳五,其主要质量指标是烃类组成,而烃类组成的分析是利用现有分析石脑油的气相色谱仪,对分析条件进行优化,保证混合碳五的分析准确率。

Herfindahl Concentration with an Import Fringe and with Supply Constraints

The widely used Herfindahl index of concentration measures market power incorrectly in cases where a core of sellers faces a competitive fringe or where some subset of sellers is supply-constrained. These cases arise, for example, where domestic sellers face a small fringe of imports, or where import supply of any magnitude is limited by natural or artificial constraints. Returning to the theoretical roots of the Herindahl, this paper demonstrates how the index should be modified to deal with such circumstances.     

Dealing with dualities

This paper introduces the topic of dealing with dualities, which is the theme of this special issue. We first give a short review of the notion of paradox and duality in management research. After this, we discuss the relevance of dualities for the IMP approach of analyzing industrial networks. Then, we briefly introduce the papers of and their relationship with the theme of this special issue. We conclude with some suggestions for future research.

Games with incomplete information: A simplified exposition with inventory management applications

In most existing literature in supply chain management it is assumed that the players possess complete information about the game, i.e., the players' payoff (objective) functions are assumed to be common knowledge. For static and dynamic games with complete information, the Nash equilibrium and subgame perfect equilibrium are the standard solution concepts, respectively. For static and dynamic games with incomplete information, the Bayesian Nash equilibrium and perfect Bayesian equilibrium, respectively, are used as solution concepts. After presenting a brief review of the static and dynamic games under complete information, the application of these two games in inventory management is illustrated by using a single-period stochastic inventory problem with two competing newsvendors. Next, we illustrate the Bayesian Nash and perfect Bayesian equilibrium solution concepts for the static and dynamic games under incomplete information with two competing newsvendors. The expository nature of our paper may help researchers in inventory/supply chain management gain easy access to the complicated notions related to the games played under incomplete information.     

Contracting with endogenous entry

We analyze entry in markets where a principal contracts with a privately informed agent. Before learning his production cost, the agent knows his probability of having a low cost – his ex ante “type” – and decides whether to pay an entry fee to contract with the principal. There are two cut-off equilibria that determine the possible types of an agent who actually enters the market, and neither equilibrium can be discarded by standard selection criteria. Contrasting with standard intuition, in the equilibrium with the highest cut-off an increase in the entry fee reduces the marginal type of the agent who enters, thus increasing entry and the expected cost of an entrant. This equilibrium is selected by a criterion based on “robustness to equilibrium risk,” even though the equilibrium with the lowest cut-off is Pareto dominant for the agent. Public policies that increase entry barriers may be welfare improving.
