通过对二级供应链中采购和库存协调问题的研究,提出了两阶段协调方法,第一阶段在采购方内部进行协调,制定采购计划;第二阶段由采购方与供应方进行协调,从而降低供应链的总成本,获得更多的总利润,为使采购方能采用协调机制,可通过数量折扣的方法还利于采购方,达到采购方与供应方的双赢。  相似文献

In this paper, we deal with more generalized inventory coordination mechanism in an n-stage, multi-customer, non-serial supply chain, where we extend and generalize pervious works that use algebraic methods to optimize this coordinated supply chain. We establish the recursive expressions for this multi-variable optimization problem. These expressions are used for the derivation of the optimal replenishment policy and the development of the solution algorithm. Further, we describe a simple procedure that can help in sharing the coordination cost benefits to induce all stages to adopt the inventory coordination mechanism. We provide a numerical example for illustrative purposes.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose an n-stage-multi-customer supply chain inventory model where there is a company that can supply products to several customers. We formulate the model for the simplest inventory coordination mechanism which is referred to as the same cycle time for all companies in the supply chain. We conclude that it is possible to use an algebraic approach to optimize the supply chain model without the use of differential calculus.  相似文献

This paper considers a supply chain that consists of a manufacturer and a supplier who faces disruption risks. We investigate the impact of decision sequence on the supplier’s endogenous reliability enhancement and the firms’ equilibrium pricing strategies. The supply chain reliability achieves a higher level under the supplier–leader game, but this does not always lead to a higher payoff for the supply chain. Each firm prefers to make the decision first, while any decision sequence can become dominant for the supply chain. We also show that the supply chain can achieve coordination via the revenue sharing contract.  相似文献

In this study, a mathematical model that integrates spatial and temporal dimensions is developed for strategic planning of future bioethanol supply chain systems. The planning objective is to minimize the cost of the entire supply chain of biofuel from biowaste feedstock fields to end users over the entire planning horizon, simultaneously satisfying demand, resource, and technology constraints. This model is used to evaluate the economic potential and infrastructure requirements for bioethanol production from eight waste biomass resources in California as a case study. It is found that, through careful supply chain design, biowaste-based ethanol production can be sustained at a compatible cost around $1.1 per gallon.  相似文献

This study focused on an area of emerging research: managing a multi-product and multi-echelon supply chain which produces and sells deteriorating goods in the marketplace. We formulated four profit-maximization models by considering the effects of channel coordination and a joint replenishment program on the supply-side cost control, taking into account the effect of the pricing scheme on demand and revenue increments. In addition, a profit-sharing mechanism based on channel rebates is proposed, which leads to Pareto improvements among the channel participants.  相似文献

We develop an integrated vendor–buyer model for a two-stage supply chain. The vendor manufactures the product and delivers it in a number of equal-sized batches to the buyer. The items delivered are presented to the end customers in a display area. Demand is assumed to be positively dependent on the amount of items displayed. The objective is to maximize total supply chain profit. The numerical analysis shows that buyer–vendor coordination is more profitable in situations when demand is more stock dependent. It also shows that the effect of double marginalization provides a link between the non-coordinated and the coordinated case.  相似文献

This paper introduces conceptual and mathematical models of the domestic grain supply chain incorporating trucking, elevator storage, and rail transportation. We compare conventional rail service supported by country elevators with shuttle service supported by terminal elevators across three critical transportation service dimensions: travel time, cost, and capacity. Even after taking into account trucking and elevator storage, the time and cost model results indicate that shuttle service transports grain faster and reduces logistical supply chain costs, respectively, relative to conventional service. The rail capacity model results demonstrate that shifting grain from conventional to shuttle service significantly increases rail capacity.  相似文献

We determine the value of monitoring perishable freight in-transit for a single vehicle traveling from an origin to a destination. We develop a computationally practical approach for determining the optimal expected cost function and an optimal policy, based on an infinite horizon partially observed Markov decision process model. Structural properties of the optimal expected cost function and optimal policy are determined. These results can lend insight when deciding whether to acquire the capacity to monitor freight status in transit and what actions to take, based on the data from the in-transit monitoring, that optimally increase expected supply chain productivity.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop a static electric power supply chain network equilibrium model with known demands and establish the equivalence between the model and a transportation network equilibrium model with fixed demands over an appropriately constructed supernetwork. This equivalence yields a new interpretation of electric power supply chain network equilibria in path flows. We then exploit this equivalence to propose a dynamic electric power supply chain network model in which the demand varies over time using an evolutionary variational inequality formulation. Finally, we demonstrate how numerical dynamic electric power supply chain network problems can be solved utilizing recently obtained theoretical results in the unification of evolutionary variational inequalities and projected dynamical systems.  相似文献

Several industries controls carbon emission during transporting products due to increased transportation for obtaining the best transportation way with reduced cost. This study considers a three-echelon supply chain model where the supplier makes semi-finished products and transports to manufacturer for finished products. The manufacturer transports products by single-setup-multi-delivery policy to multi-retailer. The aim of the model is to reduce the supply chain cost by considering variable transportation and carbon emission costs are considered due to several shipments. An algebraic approach is employed to obtain the closed-form solution. Numerical example, sensitivity analysis, and graphical representations are given to illustrate the model.  相似文献

This paper identifies research opportunities which will enable the further integration of inland waterway transport in the intermodal supply chain. Intermodal transport may be interpreted as a chain of actors who supply a transport service. Inland navigation can play a crucial role in increasing supply chain service performance. A first group of research challenges lies in the evolving relationship between transport geography and logistics activities. The next set of research challenges has the objective to encourage efficient operations in IWT: development of a system wide model for IWT, integration of operational planning systems and analysis of bundling networks. A third group of research efforts is directed towards shippers and consignees who use the intermodal transport chain to send or receive their goods: further development of models that integrate intermodal transport decisions with supply chain decisions and creation of green supply chains. A fourth cluster of research challenges concerns the problem domain of external cost calculations. Finally detailed time series data on freight transport should be collected to support these future research tracks.  相似文献

We first generalize Khouja [Khouja, M., 2003. Optimizing inventory decisions in a multi-stage multi-customer supply chain. Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review 39 (3), 193–208] integrated model considering the integer multipliers mechanism and next individually derive the optimal solution to the three- and four-stage model using the perfect squares method, which is a simple algebraic approach so that ordinary readers unfamiliar with differential calculus can understand the optimal solution procedure with ease. We subsequently deduce the optimal expressions for Khouja (2003) and Cárdenas-Barrón [Cárdenas-Barrón, L.E., 2007. Optimal inventory decisions in a multi-stage multi-customer supply chain: a note. Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review 43 (5), 647–654] model, and identify the associated errors in Khouja (2003). This paper studied the design of a two-echelon supply chain where a set of suppliers serve a set of terminals that receive uncertain customer demands. In particular, we considered probabilistic transportation disruptions that may halt product supply from certain suppliers. We formulated this problem into an integer nonlinear program to determine the optimal system design that minimizes the expected total cost. A customized solution algorithm based on Lagrangian relaxation was developed to efficiently solve this model. Several numerical examples were conducted to test the proposed model and draw managerial insights into how the key parameters affect the optimal system design.  相似文献

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is regarded as a promising technology for the optimization of supply chain processes since it improves manufacturing and retail operations from forecasting demand to planning, managing inventory, and distribution. This study uses a simulation model to calculate the expected benefits of an integrated RFID system on a three-echelon supply chain obtained through performance increases in efficiency, accuracy, visibility, and security level. The study investigates how the product value, lead time, and demand uncertainty affect the performance of the integrated RFID supply chain in terms of cost factors at the echelon level.  相似文献

Electronic commerce and associated business-to-business transaction capabilities have changed the way in which supply chains operate. The Internet has enabled information exchange on an unprecedented scale, often at a pace too fast for normal consumption. Companies are not equipped to make effective use of data from warehouse management systems––which contain information on supplier/customer warehouse inventory levels and key customer ordering patterns––and transportation management systems––within which information pertaining to the location of important supply chain assets such as products or vehicles is typically stored. These systems are key factors in integrating the physical flow of goods along the supply chain. The integration of these systems leads to global inventory visibility, which, in turn, leads to reduced costs and improved customer service by decreasing shipping and receiving cycle times, increasing shipment and inventory accuracy, and decreasing lead-time variability. This paper examines the total cost benefits that can be achieved by suppliers and warehouses through the increased global visibility provided by an integrated system. We develop a discrete event simulation model of a multi-product supply chain to examine the potential benefits to be gained from global inventory visibility and trailer yard dispatching and sequencing techniques. Experimental results demonstrate the potential for this integrated paradigm to improve customer service through improved efficiencies, reduced costs, and reduced lead-time variability.  相似文献
