Dec. 6 （China Daily） -- China will use about 715 million metric tons of steel in 2014, a jump of 3.2 percent year-on-year, an official predicted on Dec 6. China will import 850 million tons of iron ore in 2014, accounting for more than 70 percent of total demand, said Li Xinchuang, head of the China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute. China imported 669 million tons of iron ore for the first 10 months this year. Li estimated the whole-year iron ore imports will reach 800 million tons, a 7.5 percent increase on last year,

We have under taken the Seismic Surface Layer Research tasks for.several years.The digital seismographs made in U.S and Japan were employed.The seismic refraction,microseismogram log and explosive log have been applied. Discovering that the thickness of low velocity Layer by microseismogram log is less than that by seismic refraction in same points.It has been discovered that the phase of first arrival of near-trace is opposite to that of the far-trace, irrespect of the seismograph model employed.Tests were made in field for these problems and results were analyzed.The valuable conclusions have been drawn,and the Constructive suggestions have been presented.

China to allow full foreign ownership in telecom services in Shanghai FTZ
Jan. 8, 2014 （China Daily） -- China will open up seven telecom value- added services to foreign capital in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, with five allowing for full foreign ownership, a senior tetecom official said. Services with no cap for foreign ownership will include app stores, store and forward, domestic multi-party communication, call centers and home Intemet access, according to Wen Ku, head of the telecom development department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Online data and dealing analysis services will allow a foreign ownership of no more than 55 percent, Wen said.
