Abstract Tour operators have increasingly emerged as the most powerful and influential factor of international flows from the main generating countries to various destinations, since they are able to interpret and manipulate the “push” and “pull” factors of the tourism process to a commercial end. As a result, many tourist-receiving destinations have to face the intervention of foreign tour operators in their tourism industry. Despite the crucial role played by tour operators for the development of insular regions' tourism, little empirical evidence is available on the relationship between tour operators and the destination tourism suppliers. This paper presents the findings of a study undertaken during the summer of 1997 on the Greek island of Crete. From the findings, it is evident that the Cretan tourism industry is heavily dependent on tour operators, and that various actions should be undertaken by the island's public and private sector to overcome this problem. 相似文献

For group package tour settings, tour leaders may consciously or unconsciously utilize impression techniques to interact with groups. This study examines the impression behaviors of tour leaders based on a framework of five discrete techniques of impression management (ingratiation, self-promotion, exemplification, supplication, and intimidation). The findings of this study indicate the impressions of tour leaders as perceived by tourists can influence the personal interaction quality. Furthermore, the personal interaction quality can subsequently influence the repurchase intention of tourists, word-of-mouth communication, as well as the reputation of tour operators. The implications for tour operators and directions for future research are also discussed. 相似文献

《旅游法》中的旅游合同解除制度,须结合《合同法》上的解除制度进行体系性解释。旅游合同的一般法定解除权应包括《合同法》第94条的规定。《旅游法》第67条的"不可避免事件",存在解释的空间。《旅游法》虽未明确旅游者的任意解除权,但无论是从合同性质路径还是合同具体内容导出合同义务路径,《旅游法》第65条都应被解释为旅游者任意解除权的依据。而旅游经营者的法定解除权,应秉持立法宗旨及旅游特性,对传染病、危害公共安全的物品、社会公德、违法活动等用语进行限定解释。在旅游合同解除效果上,应考虑到未履行部分费用、返程费用、履行利益及时间浪费赔偿的特殊性。 相似文献

This paper aims to identify China's Generation Y's (Gen Y) preference toward joining group package tour (GPT) when traveling abroad and explore their expectations on a number of service attributes. Six service attribute dimensions were identified through factor analysis, including: group leader/local guide(s), optional tour and shopping arrangement, safety, cleanness, and comfortableness, accommodation, activities, and shopping length and frequency. This study confirmed the importance of group leader/local guide(s) with a special emphasis on their honesty. It is found that current group and non-group travelers of Gen Y shared similar expectations on six service feature dimensions, while having different expectations on four service attributes: food hygiene, tour leader's emergency handle ability, Chinese food offering, and park as attraction choice. Results also showed that potential group travelers had higher concern over the factor of group leader/local guide(s) than non-group travelers. 相似文献

很多研究从不同视角就导游管理问题进行了深入探讨,提出的对策主要是两个方面:严格导游职业准入制度和完善相关管理体制。文章认为,职业准入制度的主要功能对于解决我国导游服务中存在的市场机会主义问题并不具有针对性,对于真正实现导游数量控制、提高导游服务质量作用有限。加强监管的思路是合理的,但如何监管需考虑行业管理制度与企业微观机制的衔接和相互影响,从制度建设方面引导旅行社自身组织结构优化。从市场关系看,导游具有独立性,又对旅行社具有从属性,旅行社才是市场责任主体,其追求利益的方式影响企业组织结构,决定了旅行社与导游之间的关系,进而影响导游的行为和服务质量。旅游行业管理应该建立以旅行社为核心的行业治理模式,明确和强化旅行社的质量责任主体地位,促进导游服务质量提升。 相似文献

本研究采用定量分析的方法,对22名英语导游在导游过程中使用非语言交际行为和手段的情况进行调查,结果发现:1)受试者使用非语言交际行为和手段的频率从高到低排列依次为:面部表情,服饰,手势,音量,化妆,体触行为和沉默时间;2)在研究涉及的7个非语言交际行为和手段变量中,有5个与导游业绩具有相关性,其中体触行为与导游业绩的相关性最高;3)好业绩组与差业绩组之间在面部表情、体触行为和沉默时间上具有显著差异。 相似文献

行为地理学在研究人们的空间行为时强调个人之间的差异。旅游产品消费过程得到的效用满足也是以个体来衡量的。由于旅游线路是旅游产品之一,因此旅游产业的发展趋势是设计更多的旅游线路产品,以满足不同消费者的旅游需要。本文以苏州客调查资料为基础,并设计了显示旅游群体线路选择差异性的指标TRDI,通过计算苏州城市旅游中,不同年龄、不同受教育程度、不同职业人群的TRDI,分析不同群体旅游线路选择的多样性差异。而后提出中现尺度上旅游线路设计的基本理念及评价方法,从而为旅游业经营单位设计旅游线路和旅游者选择适当的旅游线路产品提出建设性的方案。 相似文献
