Managerial Commitment to Sustainable Supply Chain Management Projects

Most companies are under pressure to improve the environmental sustainability of their supply chains. However, there is considerable variance in companies' ability to successfully deploy environmental management projects. One important factor, according to articles in the academic and business press, is the ability of champions of sustainable supply chain management (SCM) projects within organizations to gain the commitment of colleagues (e.g., other managers from a variety of functions) to help these projects succeed. Therefore, this paper examines variables that affect a project champion's ability to gain this commitment from colleagues. In particular, building on existing research, this research employs a video‐based experimental design to examine the effect of the influence approach that the project champion employs, the values of the person the champion is trying to influence, and the organizational climate. The results suggest that organizational climate and certain individual values directly affect commitment. There are also interactions between values and influence tactics. The research adds to the field's growing knowledge on the antecedents of sustainable SCM within companies while providing valuable guidance for environmental champions and for top managers.

供应链是由关联企业群体组成的复杂经济系统,其演化是一个由自组织与环境适应混合作用的系统演化过程。衡量供应链状态改变的标准是链中的核心企业。供应链演化包括两个层次:即供应链与环境相互作用和供应链内部自组织作用;创新是演化的内在动力,学习、知识信息共享、要素正常流动等都起着很重要作用;差异、选择、维持是供应链演化中主体间相互作用的根本机制。     

Toward Moral Responsibility Theories of Corporate Sustainability and Sustainable Supply Chain

Earth’s life-support system is facing megaproblems of sustainability. One important way of how these problems can be addressed is through innovation. This paper argues that responsible innovation that contributes to sustainable development (SD) consists of three dimensions: (1) innovations avoid harming people and the planet, (2) innovations ‘do good’ by offering new products, services, or technologies that foster SD, and (3) global governance schemes are in place that facilitate innovations that avoid harm and ‘do good.’ The paper discusses global governance schemes based on deliberation as a means to foster such responsible innovation. These schemes can provide voluntary soft-law regulations that complement and extend national and international hard-law regulations and facilitate collective innovation that contributes to SD goals. The article addresses the facilitative role of governments and international organizations in overcoming problems of deliberation and offers illustrative examples of such governance schemes.     

The Evolution of Resilience in Supply Chain Management: A Retrospective on Ensuring Supply Chain Resilience

We opened our 2010 paper in the Journal of Business Logistics with a 6th century quote by Heraclitus – “The only constant is change.” This immutable law certainly holds in today's volatile business world, especially for supply chain management, and has been the driving factor behind the interest in resilience. Since the seminal works of the mid‐to‐late 1990s and early 2000s, the supply chain discipline has progressed toward a common understanding of resilience. But we're not there yet. This paper reflects on the impact of our 2010 paper, and envisions future opportunities for advances in resilience that will improve both day‐to‐day business continuity and long‐term sustainability. We are honored to be selected for this 40th Anniversary Issue of the Journal of Business Logistics, and proud that our paper has been recognized as the most cited of the decade.     

供应链合作关系演进路径及影响因素

依据合作行为的差异性,按照合作的时间维、深度维和广度维,供应链合作关系的演进路径可分为交易型合作关系、协调型合作关系、协同型合作关系等三个阶段。供应链合作关系受合作双方产品的质量、价格以及各自的企业文化、组织结构等诸多因素影响。这些因素可分为显性影响因素和隐性影响因素。其中,显性影响因素对供应链短期合作绩效的影响非常明显,但显性因素要在供应链合作中高效地发挥作用,离不开企业价值观、经营理念、组织结构等隐性因素的基础性支持。研究表明,在供应链合作关系演进过程中,各隐性因素的作用及其程度都不一样,应把以实现消费者价值为导向的战略指导方针作为供应链合作关系演进的行动指南,在为消费者创造价值的前提下,共同创造合理的产业赢利水平,这是供应链合作关系健康发展的根本途径。

市场竞争逐渐由企业间的竞争转化为供应链间的竞争,供应链管理日益受到关注。文章采集163家企业信息进行实证分析,探索供应链管理实践和供应链敏捷性对企业绩效的影响与作用机制。研究结果表明：供应链管理实践对企业绩效具有直接正向影响,供应链管理实践对供应链敏捷性具有直接正向影响,供应链敏捷性对企业绩效具有直接正向影响且在供应链管理实践与企业绩效之间发挥部分中介作用。     

基于供应链柔性的供应链风险控制研究
