Spanning the Union/Nonunion Boundary

Conflicts between the work boundaries established by union contracts and management's interest in efficient work flows have increased sharply as new technology and new management practices make traditional divisions in the organization of work obsolete. We use concepts from organizational theory to examine these conflicts and an innovative attempt to resolve them by defining union boundaries not on the basis of tasks performed, but rather on the basis of employment; the union contract applies to specific workers instead of job titles. This system provides greater flexibility and autonomy for employees, and the results of an attitude survey suggest that it is strongly preferred by workers who feel constrained by traditional union contracts.     

玻璃球负载纳米级SO4^2—／TiO2固体超强酸的研究

制备了玻璃球负载纳米级SO4^2-／TiO2固体超强酸，对其催化活性、重复使用效果、失活原因及再生方法进行了研究。该催化剂对乙酸和丁醇的酯化反应在重复使用9次后，反应3h乙酸的转化率由初次的99．3％变为84．9％，经再生处理，再重复使用6次反应3h乙酸的转化率由初次的98．0％变为78．3％。催化剂失活原因为活性中心被有机物覆盖以及SO4^2-的流失。催化产物的气相色谱说明该催化剂选择性好，无副产物生成。     

MPLS/BGP VPN的QoS的应用

目前VPN技术在各类网络中的应用大量存在,随着网络技术的发展,IP网络中不仅单独承载普通数据业务,3G语音、视频、数据等业务融合承载,综合应用,对网络的承载能力有了更高的要求。而各类业务在VPN中的大量应用,对于使用VPN对各类业务承载的时延、抖动、丢包率等提出更严格的要求。本文试对目前应用最广泛的MPLS/BGP VPN业务中的DiffServ模型的QoS的典型应用场景进行阐述,探讨对VPN业务的QoS保障。     

参加ISO/TC 67/SC 5 第16届年会技术报告

国际标准化组织第67技术委员会第5分委会（ISO／TC67／SC5）“石油、石化和天然气工业用材料设备和海上结构——套管、油管和钻杆”第16届年会于2006年4月20-21日在中国西安召开。此次会议由中国石油天然气集团公司管材研究所承办。来自日本、美国、中国、法国、意大利、挪威、俄罗斯等国家的21名正式代表参加了会议．ISO TC 67主席Cheryl Stark女士以观察员的身份列席了会议。     

C/S和B/S相结合的安全型管理信息系统开发

为了开发基于C/S(客户/服务器),B/S(浏览器/服务器)模式的高校学生公寓管理系统的网络体系,在对C/S与B/S模式结构进行分析比较的基础上,针对该系统的建设目标和功能要求,对该系统进行了网络体系布置、数据库设计、系统框架设计和系统安全性设计,该系统的实施可以实现C/S和B/S模式结合起来开发管理系统的一种体系结构。

羧甲基壳聚糖-Cu2+配合物催化分解H2O2的研究

研究羧甲基壳聚糖-Cu²⁺配合物对H₂O₂分解的催化活性及影响因素。以壳聚糖为原料,制备水溶性羧甲基壳聚糖(CMC),再以其为配体制备CMC-Cu²⁺配合物,并将CMC-Cu²⁺配合物应用于催化H₂O₂分解的反应,考察了w(CMC)/w(CuCl₂)、体系pH值对H₂O₂分解的影响。结果表明:温度为25℃,w(CMC)/w(CuCl₂)为5∶1时形成的CMC-Cu²⁺配合物,在pH值为7附近,对质量分数为5%的H₂O₂的分解率12h为92.5%,24h为99.5%,说明CMC-Cu²⁺配合物对H₂O₂分解有良好的催化作用。     

关于修订SY/T 5324标准的建议

SY/T 5324-1994《预应力隔热油管》标准存在不合理之处，主要体现在产品寿命，平直度和无损检测等方面，其规定与实际情况不完全符合，造成生产和使用中存在一定矛盾，影响到厂家和用户的效益，提出了修订建议。     

Performance differences between the wrigley/rumelt strategic categories

This study examines differences in profit and sales performance between the different Wrigley/Rumelt categories of diversification strategy. Our sample comprised 305 large U. K. manufacturing companies over the period 1972–84. Although diversification strategy explained only a small proportion of inter-firm performance differences, once the influence of other firm and industry variables were taken into account, significant differences did emerge. Our findings conflict with those of earlier U.S. studies. In particular, we find that diversified firms outperformed specialized firms and there was no evidence that related diversification was more successful than unrelated.     

ISO／TC193标准化工作的回顾与展望

介绍了国际标准化组织天然气技术委员会(ISO/TC193)的成立背景,10年来该组织机构变化状况,以及标准化工作的发展动向.同时,对我国天然气工业的“采标”工作提出了一些看法.     

Cross-cultural influences on the buyer-seller interaction/negotiation process

Even though the buyer-seller interaction/negotiation process is receiving increasing attention from the marketing scholars (Capon & Hulbert, 1976; O'Shaughnessy, 1972; Sheth, 1976; Wilson, 1976; Woodside, Bennett & Sheth, 1977), there is virtually nothing in the literature on the influence of the cross-cultural and cross-national settings in which negotiations take place. Yet, we must reckon with the cross-cultural influences on the buyer-seller interaction/negotiation process simply because a vast number of marketing transactions transcend national and cultural boundaries. In other words, multinational and transnational marketing has emerged as a way of life and transactions between buyers of one country/culture and sellers of another country/culture are commonplace. The purposes of this paper are, therefore, to discuss the cross-cultural influences on the buyer-seller interaction process and to provide a conceptual framework which may become useful for empirical research.     

欧盟玩具安全指令2009／48／EC新要求分析与应对

欧盟新玩具指令2009／48／EC中除化学部分外的要求已于2011年7月20日起强制执行。此后，进入欧盟的玩具除化学部分的要求仍可以满足1日玩具指令88／378／EEC外，其它要求必须满足新玩具指令2009／48／EC。     

The Impact on Housing Costs of the California Coastal Zone Conservation Act1

Evaluating the impact of California's Coastal Commissions' actions on housing costs provide challenges to economists and political scientists for which they lack both adequate theory and data to reach decisive conclusions. At best evaluation of eight years of Commissions' actions indicate that their actions have saved some scarce coastal resources most in need of protection. However, these achievements created some types of excessive costs and market dislocations which promise to affect adversely housing costs in major populous urban areas. Unfortunately the full range of public and private costs remains undefined and current judgments about Commissions' actions must remain tentative.

国际标准化组织ISO／TC67“石油、石化和天然气工业用设备材料及海上结构技术委员会”SC2管道输送系统分技术委员会,于2008年5月21日至22日在丹麦首都哥本哈根举行了“ISO／TC67／SC2石油天然气行业管道输送系统第28届年会”,此次会议由丹麦标准化学会承办：来自美国、法国、挪威、加拿大、中国、英国、澳大利亚、意大利、卡塔尔等14个国家的28名代表参加了会议。

FUNDAMENTALS OF ACCOUNTING/ECONOMIC/FINANCIAL EVALUATION

A major assumption in inventory theory in general and in the area of price changes in particular is that the demand for an item is fixed. It is possible that the reduction in price may result in an increase in demand. In fact this is a reason for the sale offered by many organizations. In this paper we use the familiar net present value approach commonly used in financial decision making to analyze and formulate optimal inventory ordering policies. This approach is more accurate and straight-forward than the average annual cost method that is usually used for comparison of alternative inventory policies.     

Applying territoriality to steps in the buyer/seller process

Territoriality is the drive of an individual to stake out, establish, maintain, and defend an area of space for personal use. The “area of space” may be physical or psychological. Industrial buyers and others involved in the buying process, as members of organizations, will act to establish individual territories within the organization and may also act to represent an organization's territorial needs. Because an understanding of the behavior of buyers is important to industrial sales people, and because the concept of territoriality is a mixture of psychological processes, physical behavior, and the space surrounding an individual, a Territoriality Scan System is proposed to assist the salesperson in improving his or her sales communications with industrial buyers. A salesperson can gather important information about an industrial buyer's psychological processes by observing the buyer's physical behavior and surrounding physical space using the Territoriality Scan System. These observational measurements can then be used to enhance the entire sales presentation.
