In 2006, China is celebrating Russia Year, in 2007 Russia will celebrate China Year, giving unprecedented opportunities for the promotion of trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. The Russian-Chinese Bilateral Trade Faces Severe Challenges in 2009

＂In 2008, though the economic and trade relations between Russia and China made progress, the slowdown of economic growth is still worrying. It could be said that 2008 was a watershed for bilateral economic development and trade, and in 2009 the bilateral economic environment will face severe challenges.＂ Mr. Sergey Tsyplakov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation, reported on February 12, at a conference in Beijing.

Sino-Canadian Economic and Trade Cooperation

In 1993, economic and trade cooperation between China and Canada was further developed and exchanges between the two governments and enterprises increased. Statistics from Chinese Customs show that the volume of bilateral trade between China and Canada in 1993 reached US$2.57 billion, the same level as the record high of 1992 and up 16.6 fold over 1970 when the two countries established diplomatic relations.

CCPIT Chairman Wan Jifei： China＇s Foreign Trade Is An Important Force of Trade Promotion

50 years before, the Ministry of Foreign Trade published magazine named Foreign Trade of The People s Republic of China. The first issue was published in December of 1956. In December of 1958, the magazine was taken over by CCPIT（China Council for the Promotion of International Trade）. Up to today, the magazine has been published in many languages including Chinese version, English version, etc., with huge influence in domestic and overseas economic and trade societies. Great Potentials for China and Bangladesh to Develop Trade and Economic Cooperation

Bangladesh is the friendly neighboring country of China. Since two countries established diplomatic relations 30 years ago, along with the constant development of friendly relations, the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries has been closer and closer. In 2000, the trade volume of the two countries was only US$920 million; in 2004 the trade volume of the two sides was up to US$1.96billion, over 100% more than that of 2000 and the highest record in history. At present,Bangladesh has become China's third largest trading partner in South Asia.In the first two months of this year, the trade volume of the two countries continued to grow at a rate of 40%; the trade volume in 2005 will top US$2billion and will be about US$2.5 billion. ROK, China Strive for Mutual Economic and Trade Benefits

The President of the Republic of Korea （ROK） Roh Moo-hyun announced that Korea fully recognized China＇s market economy status. Roh＇s announcement was made during a joint press conference with Chinese President Hu Jintao, who was on a state visit to ROK in November. China is now the largest trading partnet of ROK, with trade volume between the two countries expected to reach 100 billion US dollars this year. The two leaders agreed that the bilateral trade volume should be doubled to 200 billion US dollars by 2012.
