全要素生产率的变迁:来自广州市与上海市的比较研究

从人力资本积累、制度变迁、技术进步三方面比较分析了上海市与广州市经济增长质量的差异:采用份额法计算劳动和资本的产出弹性,利用TFP核算公式计算出上海市和广州市1979～2004年的全要素生产率增长率.结论表明:(1)1992年以前,上海的全要素生产率增长率远远低于广州;(2)广州的全要素生产率在1994～2000年间保持相对稳定,而上海的这一指标从1997年开始则持续快速上升并逐渐赶上广州;(3)2000年以后上海的全要素生产率增长乏力而广州的这一指标则缓慢上升.     

Objectives and Measures at UK Trade Exhibitions

Exhibitions are a major promotional activity for firms in the UK and, indeed, in the rest of the world. The received wisdom is that exhibitions are an effective promotional tool, and large sums are spent on them, yet little evidence exists to demonstrate that exhibitions are effective. Furthermore, few firms routinely collect information regarding the effectiveness of their exhibition activities.

This paper reports on a study of 104 firms who exhibit in the UK. Firms were asked about their objective setting activities, their reasons for exhibiting, and their methods of evaluating the effectiveness of the exhibition. It was found that most firms set few or even no objectives for the exhibitions, that they do not evaluate effectively, and that a surprisingly large number of firms do not evaluate their activities at all.

Guangzhou Commercial Pedestrian Streets are the name card of Guangzhou daily life on commerce and tourism. The Commercial Pedestrian Streets in Beijing Road and Shang Xia Jiu Road are well-known home and abroad for its abundant commercial and cultural deposits as well as its unique style of Lingnan culture. According to historical records, from Sui and Tang Dynasties, Beijing Road has always been located in the axes of Guangzhou city. Always being the city center and commercial center, it has created its splendid historical culture as well as commercial civilization. Many historical sites are gathered here, including the sites of Ancient Road, Ancients Building, Nan Yue Imperial Garden, Western Han Water Gate, the Shipbuilding Workshop of Qin Dynasty and ancient temple Great Buddha Temple. The Ancient Road Site has been open to public, where the roadbeds built in Tang, Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties can be seen clearly.     

租金房价比失效了吗——基于四大城市的经验研究

本文基于住房使用成本模型,通过构建租金和房价变动的预测模型,并使用北京、上海、广州和深圳四大城市1993年第二季度至2010年第一季度的时间序列数据,考察了租金房价比对未来租金和房价变动的预测能力。研究发现：（1）北京、上海的租金房价比与未来房价变动呈负向关系,与现值模型预测相反,而深圳的二者关系为正,广州的租金房价比对于未来房价变动不存在统计意义上的预测能力;（2）北京、广州和深圳的租金房价比可以预测未来的租金变动率,二者呈反向关系,上海的相应统计值不显著。本文的经验结论表明,租金房价比作为估值指标在中国城市住房市场上的适用性值得谨慎判断。     

清末广州对外经贸活动与英文粤音借词的产生

广州是英语词汇中的中文借词发源地之一。这些粤音借词数量可观,涉及中外经贸活动的各个环节,从而在生动反映清末广州对外商贸活动概况的基础上,折现出这一历史时期广州及周边地区社会文化生活的一些侧影。更为可贵的是,这些粤音借词以语言为载体,记录了西方人士对华人社会的观感和体验,为近代中外交流史留下了一份宝贵记录。

基于GEM模型的广州会展产业集群竞争力研究

以加拿大学者Tim Padmore和Hervey Gibson提出的GEM模型为基本分析框架,构建会展产业集群竞争力评价的基本指标体系,确定各个指标相应的权重,通过问卷调查的方式获得关于广州会展的第一手资料,并进行数据处理,定量描述广州会展产业集群的竞争力状况,从而得出广州的会展产业集群竞争力处于全国上游水平,在国内有较强的竞争力,其竞争力还具有一定的提升空间。
