跨国公司在中国服务业投资的特点表现为受政策影响较大,区位分布明显,进入方式以独资为主,呈制造型跨国公司向服务型跨国公司转化的趋势。同时,跨国公司在中国服务业投资存在着投资走向与中国服务业吸引外资政策相左、投资区域分布不尽合理、在服务业部门中具有垄断趋势、税收贡献度低等问题。所以要加快发展服务业,为吸引跨国公司来华服务业投资打造良好的基础,调整服务业吸引外资的行业政策、区域政策,完善服务业对外开放的法律体系和政策体系,促进服务业的竞争,同时防止跨国公司在中国服务业的垄断,调整税收体制,规范跨国公司经营秩序。  相似文献

跨国公司作为国际投资和国际贸易的主体不断为推动世界经济全球化作出巨大贡献。在完成了在中国的初始发展阶段之后,特别是中国入世以来,跨国公司进入中国市场的趋势有了新变化。文章在对跨国公司在我国发展历程简单回顾的基础上,指出入世后跨国公司在华投资呈现出规模化和系统化、从制造业向服务业和高科技产业推进、投资地域中西部化、投资方式多样化、在华增加研发机构和设立公司总部的特征。  相似文献

China and the multinational corporations (MNCs) have had a long period of close relationship. In locating operations in China, MNCs beneficially followed the principle of least‐cost location. However, China's economic and business environment has been undergoing a striking transformation. The Chinese economy is losing some of its beneficial emerging‐market traits. Many foreign business enterprises and MNCs have experienced deep erosion of profits. This article first focuses on the growing importance of China and the Chinese markets for foreign business firms and MNCs. The sheer size of the market naturally draws them in. Next, it dwells on the challenges that have evolved over the years and the budding new business environment, often referred to as “the new normal.” Many MNCs realize the need to adapt to the new operating environment in China. This article applies Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) theories to the strategic management analysis of the global integration-local responsiveness of multinational corporations (MNCs) in China, from the perspective of company characteristics (ownership advantages and internalization advantages) and environmental dynamics (locational factors) in order to analyze the success factors influencing the sales activities of Japanese MNCs in China. Based on the analysis of a survey conducted on 230 Japanese parent companies with investments in China, the empirical research findings include: Japanese MNCs in China favor global integration strategies; the more significant the ownership advantages and internalization advantages are, the greater the global integration is; the success factors of their operations in China due to global integration are present in manufacturing know-how, procurement of parts and supplies, financial power, previous investment experience in China as well as sales networks and technologies; locational advantages mainly lie in labor cost among other things; internalization factors do not have any significant correlation with the success and performance of the subsidiary company. Emerging market multinational corporations (MNCs) are coming under increasing scrutiny for their international performance. While the success of Indian IT multinationals in the West has been extensively researched and reported, there is a lack of research on their relative failure in China. The rise of economic nationalism and the COVID-19 pandemic pose challenges for the mobility of professionals and the global talent management (GTM) strategy of MNCs. Through in-depth interviews with senior managers from four well-known Indian IT services multinationals, this article presents an evidence-based critique of the design and implementation of their GTM strategy both inside and outside China. It focuses specifically on the quality of the IT talent pool in China, control and coordination issues, and the challenges of workforce localization.  相似文献

This article presents the latest empirical findings on factors critical to the success of multinational companies (MNCs) investing in the People's Republic of China. The study, based on recent face-to-face interviews with managers from MNCs in China, shows that critical success factors for these MNCs include: CEO's long-term commitment to the Chinese market, thorough predeparture training and feasibility studies, patience and persistence, effective use of Chinese intermediaries, bringing a brand name image, establishing wholly owned structures whenever possible, finding qualified local partners in joint ventures, winning trust from Chinese officials and managers, and developing good human resource management. Multinational corporations (MNCs) are making a major contribution to China's economic development. This analysis examines how eight prominent American MNCs are handling the process of linking the management of their China joint ventures into their global structures. It looks at how the MNCs are addressing the tensions that arise between maintaining control in terms of their worldwide standards while attempting simultaneously to adapt to the complex and dynamic environment of China. The reconciliation of these requirements depends on a relatively few focal actors, who are located at critical interfaces within the MNCs' internal networks between the China joint ventures and the corporate level.  相似文献

Among developing countries, China is the world's largest foreign direct investment (FDI) destination. A significant portion of the FDI in China comes from multinational corporations' (MNCs) subsequent investments of retained earnings or additional capital contribution. However, the characteristics of MNCs' subsequent investment have not been systematically studied. This study attempts to examine MNCs' subsequent investment in China both conceptually and empirically. Conceptually, the study approaches three levels of determinants: firm, location, and international, within an integrated model. Empirically, the study considers whether origin, experience, initial location, and other related factors significantly affect subsequent investment of MNCs after their initial entry into the Chinese market. Through empirical analyses, this study identifies some statistically significant factors around MNCs' subsequent investment decisions in China. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

本文探讨了跨国公司国际生产组织的变革以及与这种变革相适应的国际生产网络中的技术外溢机制与加工贸易升级之间的关系。为了与产品内分工相适应,跨国公司调整其国际生产组织方式,形成了国际生产网络。以跨国公司为主导的国际生产网络中的技术外溢为我国加工企业提升生产能力带来了良机,对我国加工贸易升级具有重要意义。我国的加工贸易企业既要积极参与到国际生产网络之中,又要主动学习和吸收高层级主体向其溢出的先进技术和知识。  相似文献
