Romanian Economic Mission Beijing-Harbin,China June 08-18,2007

This is for the third time in 2007 that a Romanian business delegation has come to China headed by Foreign Trade Department, Ministry for Small and Medium-Sized Comp., Trade Tourism ＆ Liberal Professions. During the 10 days from June 08 to 18, a number of agreements and achievements have between made with joint efforts of the host organization, Beijing Office of Romanian-Sino Chamber of Commerce, and Embassy of Romania.

Mr.Lim Sit Chen,the Chairman of Board of Investment (BOI)in Mauritius,as a distinguished guest came to China ac- companying the Prime Minister of Mauritius,H.E. Dr.Navin- chandra Ramgoolam's visiting in this July.On the China- Mauritius Investment Promotion Seminar,excellent speech he delivered,charm of manner he was and great efforts to pro- mote the economic,trade and finance relations between China and Mauritius he had made,swept the audience off their feet. Besides Chairman of BOI,Mr.Lim owns many other titles under his name,such as Managing Director of Stewardship Consulting Pte Ltd in Singapore and President of Spirit of En- terprise in Mauritius. What's more, he has an international working experience and education background in Mauritius, Singapore and America. China and South Korea,A Close Economic Connection Leading to Mutual Strategic Cooperation

China-Pakistan Strengthen Bilateral Custom Cooperation

Mr. Abdullah Yusuf, Secretary General/Chairman, Central Board of Revenue of Pakistart, arrived Shenzhen on April 22 to meet with Mr. Sheng Guangzu, the Chinese Minister for Customs Administration for discussing the bilateral customs issues. On July 17, 2004, 1st Indian Mango Festival hosted by Beijing Hualian Group, Indian Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and Embassy of India in China was held at four Hualian Department Stores. Ambassador of India to China, H.E. Mr. Nalin Surie, officials of APEDA and Beijing United Chamber of Commerce participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the festival. A mango delegation of officials, mango growers and exporters came from India for this festival and sought cooperation with Chinese traders.

On November 29, 2006, CCPIT Chairman Wan Jifei and Chairman of ltalian Trade Commission jointly signed the Memorandum of Cooperation. After the signature ceremony, Mr. Ambassador Umberto Vattani, President of Italian Trade Commission （ICE） awarded a gold medal to Mr. Wan Jifei, in order to praise the great contributions he has made in promoting the trade relations between China and Italy. He pointed out that the gold medal was just coined in three pieces and with great significance.
