Internationalizing China's Foreign Trade System

Since 1978, a series of reforms have been conducted in China's foreign trade system to meet the needs of opening to the outside world and China's return to membership of Gatt. After 15 years of reform, China's foreign trade system has changed a lot in the following aspects.

Chat on China's Foreign Trade Laws

In the past four decades since the founding of New China, China's foreign trade has witnessed significant achievements. But effective law covering foreign trade has not been enacted for various reasons. As China's foreign trade reform deepens and trade develops further, it is imperative to update the law to conform with China's return to signatory membership of Gatt.     

Foreign Businessmen Entering China's Retail Trade

Yichang's Foreign Trade

Yichang is not only one of the major industrial and commodity agricultural bases in Hubei, but also one of the important goods transient hubs. Since the State Council approved Yichang City independently running exports in 1988, it has steadily developed foreign trade along with deepening reform.
