世行下调全球经济增长预期至2.4%

<正>世界银行在2013年1月15日公布的最新一期《全球经济展望》报告中将今年全球经济增长预期下调至2.4%。报告认为,汇率战风险、美国财政预算僵局、欧元区债务危机等因素不仅拖累全球经济增长,也将引发发展中国家采取措施确保经济增长。经济增速预期下调2013年全球经济增速为2.4%,低于2012年6月份上期报告中3%的预测值。但2013年数据略高于2012年     

亚洲将引领世界苯酚和丙酮需求增长

据SRI咨询公司最新发布的报告显示，2007年全球苯酚消费量近900万t，预计未来5年还将以年均3．4％的速度继续增长，2012年消费量将达到约1000万t。2007年全球苯酚能力利用率为85％。SRI指出，因全球经济发展放慢，特别是发达地区的经济增速放缓，2008年整个苯酚市场将会降温。随着东亚地区新增能力即将投运，并满足本地区自身需求的增长，北美和西欧的出口机会和开工率将下降。     

中国仍然是东亚以及全球经济的增长动力

联合国在最新发布的年度经济报告中指出，中国仍然是东亚以及全球经济的增长动力，但中国在刺激经济以鼓励国内消费方面面临巨大挑战，维持增长需要新策略支持。     

国际组织对2007年全球经济增长的判断与预测

关于2007年全球经济走势,专家和学者的看法并不统一。但是在世界经济的整体发展趋势方面却有一个比较一致的看法,那就是,世界经济在经历了过去四年最高的增长期之后在2007年将出现明显的放缓迹象。根据国际货币基金组织(IMF)的统计数字,在从2004—2006年的3年中,全球经济的平均增长速度超过5.0%,这是自20世纪70年代以来全球经济增长最快的3年。进入2007年,全球经济的增长速度将有所放缓,但仍将保持增长的势头。     

全球价值链参与、区域经济增长与空间溢出效应

本文首次从空间维度解构全球价值链参与的经济增长效应,利用2000—2013年中国海关微观数据以及2002年、2007年和2010年中国30个省份的区域间投入产出表,采用探索性空间数据分析方法和空间面板模型实证检验了全球价值链参与对中国区域经济增长的影响。结果表明:全球价值链参与不仅产生地区内溢出,也产生空间溢出,表明某地全球价值链参与度的提升不仅促进了本地区经济增长,而且间接带动了其他地区经济增长;全球价值链增长效应呈现出显著的金融危机前后时段特征和国家异质性特征;在进一步深入研究全球价值链的不同嵌入方式后发现,虽然全球价值链功能嵌入相比产品嵌入对区域经济增长的地区内溢出效应更强,但在空间溢出上,功能嵌入由于服务链条的相对封闭性、知识构成的复杂性和专用性,空间溢出并不明显,产品嵌入则对区域经济增长具有显著的空间溢出。     

IMF调高世界经济增长预测

国际货币基金组织(IMF)9月14日在新加坡发表的《世界经济展望》报告预计,世界经济2006年和2007年将分别增长5.1%和4.9%,均比该组织今年4月的估计上调了0.2个百分点。国际货币基金组织认为,支持这一良好增长前景的因素包括通货膨胀的压力将会成功地得到遏制、发达国家的内需增长     

联合国下调2009年全球经济增长预测

联合国27日在纽约发布的《2009年世界经济形势与展望（年中报告）》说，2009年全球经济增长负2．6％，较之其年初预测的负0．5％大幅降低。

摩根大通：预计今年中国出口增长17％

摩根大通2月16日发布的一份报告指出，在2005年全球经济增长前景乐观的背景下，人民币即使升值，也不会打击中国的出口增长，而且预期2005年中国的出口表现仍然看好，预测出口增长17％(以美元计)。而高盛的经济学家梁红也撰文指出，目前国内出口仍保持强势，成为摩根大通论断的佐证。     

联合国：新兴经济体拉动全球经济复苏

联合国经济与社会事务部5月25号在纽约联合国总部发布《2011世界经济形势与展望》更新版,指出包括中国、印度以及一些拉美国家在内的发展中国家经济的强劲增长将继续成为拉动全球经济增长的动力,而主要发达国家的经济表现依然疲弱,可能对全球经济复苏产生负面影响。     

对我国就业增长与经济增长关系的思索

目前,我国的就业增长与经济增长并没有呈现一致性。这并不完全是经济增长的带动作用减弱,而是影响就业增长其他因素的负效应抵消了经济增长对就业增长的部分贡献,也有经济体制改革、技术进步、宏观政策等因素。应采取增加劳务输出和扩大劳动密集型产品在对外贸易中的比重、大力发展第三产业、调整宏观经济政策的单纯GDP取向、完善劳动力市场等措施,实现经济与就业一致性增长。     

Growth and Trade vs. Trade and Growth

In the traditional trade literature, there is a well-developed area analyzing the effect of growth on trade and its reflection on income growth. This literature developed already in the 1950s and 1960s. Generally speaking, an interest in the effects of trade on growth has also existed for many years, where trade has often been viewed as an engine of growth. Cases in point are the "East Asian Tigers" and Japan which have especially benefited from outward-looking policies. In this paper, we analyze the relationship between economic growth and growth in income terms of trade, arguing that income terms of trade is a useful concept in analyses of the link between trade and growth. Our results suggest that fast-growing countries have either specialized in sectors with a relatively favorable development with regard to world market prices, or they have managed to successively improve quality within sectors, thereby avoiding falling terms of trade in spite of large increases in export volumes.

Growth and entrepreneurship

In this paper we suggest that the spillover of knowledge may not occur automatically as typically assumed in models of endogenous growth. Rather, a mechanism is required to serve as a conduit for the spillover and commercialization of knowledge from the source creating it, to the firms actually commercializing the new ideas. In this paper, entrepreneurship is identified as one such mechanism facilitating the spillover of knowledge. Using a panel of entrepreneurship data from 18 countries, we provide empirical evidence that, in addition to measures of Research & Development and human capital, entrepreneurial activity also serves to promote economic growth.

Growth Intentions and Board Composition in High‐Growth Firms

This paper examines the influence of board composition on growth intentions of high‐growth firms. We hypothesize that gender diversity and a high proportion of independent directors on the board will reduce a firm's growth intentions, whereas founder duality will increase a firm's growth intentions. Using survey data from 773 high‐growth Norwegian firms, we find that gender diversity has a negative effect on growth intentions. A high proportion of independent directors do not facilitate further growth in high‐growth firms. Furthermore, our results indicate that the founder's presence in the decision‐making group increases a firm's growth intentions.     

Indian Economy: Growth Performance and Prospects of Transitioning the Growth Trajectory

After a prolonged period of underperformance, Indian economy picked up momentum during the 1980s and 1990s. After 2001, it even had a period of stellar economic growth and the real gross domestic product growth rate came tantalizingly close to double digit. Optimists began to believe that India could emulate China's sustained superlative economic performance. The author argues that this amounts to stretching optimism. There is still a long list of macroeconomic reform and restructuring measures that have been ignored. Whether it will be able to emulate China will essentially depend on doing what was left undone in the past.
