This paper examines relationships between perceptions and behaviours of channel members in an industry embroiled in conflict. We scrutinize these relationships from the perspective of the retailers. We utilize realistic perceptual and behavioural constructs which are meaningful to retailers. Our results suggest that the relationships between perceptions and behaviours may be bi-directional. We review the pertinent literature on conflict and suggest directions for future research. 相似文献

The question of whether individuals are rational or irrational in their decision‐making has long been an area of interest to academics and marketers, as the different decision styles require differing use of information sources and choice criteria by consumers during the buying process. As such, marketers would be required to adopt different communication strategies and stress different marketing mix or product features if they were to be successful in influencing the consumer’ s final choice. The debate can be classified into whether or not consumers follow a formalised decision sequence of search and evaluation leading to final product choice. If consumers are not prepared to commit themselves to the cognitive and behavioural effort required by this formal process then they will satisfice their decision‐making, applying simplifying strategies to arrive at a satisfactory, although not the optimum, choice. This paper reviews the common assumptions of search and choice, suggesting a three‐stage model which can be used to guide marketing strategy. Research into the decision process used by consumers in the acquisition of a video recorder is used to illustrate the operation of the satisficing model. Implications for marketing strategy are then discussed. 相似文献

粮食安全模式是粮食安全战略的根本保证,我国粮食安全的具体模式应立足于国情,以自力更生为基础,在借鉴国外粮食安全模式基础之上,启用混合型粮食安全模式,将各种有利资源转换为粮食,进而解决我国潜在的粮食数量安全和质量安全威胁.同时,还要适度控制我国工业用粮,进行粮食生产技术创新与组织创新,实施“藏粮于田”与农业生态保护,建立食物质检体系等战略. 相似文献

本文通过实证方法研究了中国企业海外并购的股权策略,对所选样本进行了单因素方差分析和回归分析,并检验了关于海外并购股权策略影响因素的若干假设.实证分析表明,东道国与我国文化距离越大、市场开放度越高,我国企业海外并购越倾向于选择高控制的股权策略;国有企业实施的海外并购、以发达国家企业为标的的并购更多地选择低控制的股权策略;此外,涉及自然资源与能源行业、东道国商业环境等因素对于海外并购的股权策略也具有显著影响,但影响方式不确定. 相似文献

Having the ambition to contribute to the practical value of the theory on corporate social performance (CSP), this paper approaches the question whether CSP can contribute to the competitive advantage of firms. We adopted an explorative case-study methodology to explore the variety of positive and negative effects of CSP on the competitiveness of organizations. As this study aimed at identifying as great variety of these effects as possible, we selected a diversified group of respondents. Data was thus collected through embedded units of analysis in a petrochemical company, and triangulated with the opinions of experts on CSP. Overall, we found various positive and negative effects of CSP on the competitiveness of organizations. CSP is therefore not an innocent adventure for executives, but rather a strategy for achieving corporate objectives. If not carefully implemented, the CSP strategy may harm the competitive advantage of the firm, as our results have suggested.Paper presentated at the EBEN annual conference 2004, Enschede, The Netherlands June 24–26 相似文献

This paper illustrates how the heteroskedastic extreme value (HEV) model can serve as an effective search engine for identifying appropriate tree structures in hierarchical choice models, particularly the nested logit. This use of the HEV model exploits its ability to estimate unique variances, and hence unique scale parameters, for each alternative in a choice set. The analysis of variance can reveal tree structures that may not be obvious to analysts who tend to base their search strategy on intuitive tree structures. The reliance on behavioural intuition may miss out on the identification of the 'best' tree in an econometric sense. This note illustrates how the HEV model is used to search for the hierarchical domain in which a statistically preferred nested logit model is positioned. 相似文献

本文认为,随着我国对外资零售企业各方面限制的取消,外资零售企业将大规模进入,这对我国零售企业既带来了机遇,也提出了挑战.文章提出,鉴于我国本土零售业区域发展不平衡的态势,不同地区零售企业应采取不同的发展策略:我国本土零售业最为发达地区的零售企业,应走适度扩张、多元化发展道路,实施差异化战略,进行战略重组,创新、再造供应链,建立自有品牌;经济发展水平较低的大城市、经济发展水平一般的中等城市和经济发达的小城镇,应养精蓄锐,充分发挥后发优势,调整经营业态,避免重复建设,注重零售企业家的培养;广大的农村应以小城镇为据点进行市场网络的扩散,加强区域内零售网点总量控制,促进商圈功能优化,超常规发展与业态创新相结合. 相似文献

Although 50 percent of Fortune 1000 companies currently use a balanced scorecard (BSC), few small businesses are using a BSC. A review of the literature finds no BSC papers in leading small business/entrepreneurship journals. This article begins with a discussion of the BSC and why a small business should use it. Three small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) case studies are presented, with a copy of their BSC, to illustrate how Hyde Park Electronics, Futura Industries, and Southern Gardens Citrus use a BSC to set strategy and align operations to achieve breakthrough results. Implications are, that like large businesses, SMEs can also benefit from using a BSC. Entrepreneurs of SMEs can use the case studies to develop their own BSC to improve performance. For some time believed to be inferior to Wholly Foreign-Owned Enterprises, Joint Ventures have become a popular vehicle for foreign market servicing. Although there are various proponents of the joint venture strategy as a means of enabling SMEs with limited productive resources and/or market knowledge to enter international markets, relatively few have focused on the actual joint venturing activities of SMEs. This article examines the activities of 9 U.K. and 12 German SMEs that have joint ventures in China. Based on a questionnaire survey and in-depth case interviews, it reveals that the initiatives appear to have been successful but that they are not without their problems and in many ways the experiences of the firms involved seem similar to those of the large multi-national enterprises. It argues that the key to success appears to be the choice of the joint venture partner and concludes that, given the limited resources of small firms, assistance is required to help them locate and select appropriate partners. 相似文献

This study investigates the use of food labels as a weight loss behavior compared to regular exercise among middle-aged Americans. After controlling for unobserved heterogeneity women were more likely to read food labels than men and also more successful in losing weight. Label users who did not exercise displayed a slightly greater likelihood of weight loss than those who exercised but did not read food labels. Additionally, those who only read labels were more likely to improve their chances of weight loss by adding exercise to their routines rather than abandoning label usage in favor of exercise. 相似文献

In an individualistic society and in the increasingly competitive business environment people do not seem inclined ‘to forgive others their trespasses’. One is more likely to choose to ignore the virtue of forgiveness as a way of handling personnel situations involving intense conflict or mild disagreements, favoring instead the negative feelings of resentment, anger, revenge or retaliation. Business people seem less concerned with growth in virtue and character; interestingly they allow their character and ultimately their work relationships to deteriorate because they hold onto feelings of anger and resentment. Is there a place for forgiveness in our interpersonal relationships in general and in corporate life in particular? I believe there is. A study of the virtue of forgiveness shows that it is a misunderstood virtue, but one that deserves attention. In this article I will examine the virtue of forgiveness, defining what forgiveness is and is not, and will illustrate how it might be situated as an essential human resource management strategy. 相似文献

发展中国家消费者认为,跨国公司应当采用全球标准化的社会责任战略,采取自愿责任行为,并对此积极响应;跨国公司的全球社会责任行为对消费者的公司认同和公司评价都具有直接的正向影响。对于跨国公司来说,实施标准化的全球社会责任行为能够增加发展中国家消费者的认同及对公司的良好评价,并有可能影响消费者购买的决策过程,进而转化为"货币选票"。跨国公司应从战略层面实施全球社会责任行为,构筑企业的长期竞争优势。 相似文献
