A method for the calculation of total horizontal wave forces by irregular breaking waves on vertical wall was developed by authors, which was based on physical model test, dimensionless analysis and assessment of real construction. The methods for the determination of pressure distribution of horizontal forces on vertical wall as well as u-plift forces on the bottom of wall are also given. The comparison between calculated results by this method and samples of real construction are very well.  相似文献

Hydrodynamic forces and flow pattern of four kinds of cavitating grid fins with cavitation number from 2.5 to 0.25 were simulated numerically with a bubble two phase flow model embodied in the commercial CFD code Fluent 6. 0.Comparison with experimental datum showed that rules of hy drodynamic forces changing with cavitation number were coordinated with experiment, and cavitation made the ratio of lift to resistance decrease. Calculated axial force and chordal pressure center in all wetted condition or those at cavitation number less than 0. 75 agreed well with experiments. Normal force in all wetted condition was less by 20 per cent. The differences between computation and experiment in the total range of cavitation number were mainly because that the inciplent cavitation number in computation was less than that at experiment.  相似文献

The breaking wave forces on vertical cylinders in shallow waters were studied by means of experimental methods. The results indicate that the breaking wave pressure is distributed exponentially with respect to water depth. An experimental formula was given using the test data. Compared with test data, the calculated breaking wave forces are in good agreement with the test data.  相似文献

The probability distribution of in-line wave forces on a pile can bemathematically summed up to that of a theory and the assumption of wave period being constantare used and the above probability distribution is simplified to that of a single dimentsionfunction.The probability density functions of the peak values of total wave forces on a wholevertical pile in irregular waves are derived from that of wave height which is the Rayleighdistribution(deep water wave)or the Kerohovski distribution(shallow water waves)on the baseof the Morison Equation.The identification with experimental data shows that suchsimplification is successful.These distributions are compared with Weibull distribution andRayleigh distribution and the result shows that the shallow water distribution of wave forcesobtained here is the best one and can be used in practice.  相似文献

The boundary hydrodynamic interaction of a 3-D oval body was experimentally surveyed for different cases. The regression method was employed to find the experimental formulae of hydrodynamic coefficients relating to the attack angle, clearance to wall, and moving speed. The mechanism of interaction was discussed. The experimental results show that there exists a lifting effect, similar to wings in flow. The lifting effect is remarkable. The boundary hydrodynamic interaction of the small aspect ratio model is almost linearly dependent on the attack angle, but the effect of the moving speed of the body on the hydrodynamic coefficients is very small. The effect of clearance is related to the geometric shape. The boundary hydrodynamic interaction always enhances the lifting effect if the clearance is small.  相似文献

The hydrodynamic damper is a device to decrease the motion of armament carrier by use of the water resistance. When hydrodynamic damper rushes into the water channel with high velocity, it is a complicated flow phenomenon with fluid-structure interaction, free surface and moving interface. Numerical simulation using the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method coupled with the Finite Element (FE) method was successfully conducted to predict the dynamic characteristics of hydrodynamic damper. The water resistance, the pressure in the interface and the stress of structure were investigated, and the relationship among the peak of water resistance, initial velocity and actual draught was also discussed. The empirical formula was put forward to predict the water resistance. And it is found that the resistance coefficient is commonly in the range of 0.3 ≤ C ≤ 0.5, when the initial velocity is larger than 50 m/s. It can be seen that the SPH method coupled with the FE method has many obvious advantages over other numerical methods for this complicated flow problem with fluid-structure interaction.  相似文献

INFLUENCE OF GAPS BETWEEN 3-D MULTIPLE FLOATING STRUCTURES ON WAVE FORCES   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
In the present investigation, influence of gaps between multiple floating structures on wave forces is examined. Strong and complicate hydrodynamic interactions between the floating bodies are observed and the numerical computations have proved the existence of the sharp peak force response on each floating body at some special resonant wave numbers. The resonant wave number is also proved to be around kL =nπ(n = 1, 2, …, ∞) with a corresponding frequency shift. A small yet finite gap width will also give influence on the resonant frequency and resonant amplitude of the wave forces, but when the distance between two aligned boxshaped floating bodies becomes big enough, the hydrodynamic interaction can be neglected. The strong hydrodynamic interaction feature has its own important practical significance for the design of module structures and the links (connection) in the whole floating body system. Moreover, the importance is closely related to the hydro-elasticity analyses of a multiple box-shaped floating body system, in which local loads may be as important as the integrated loads.  相似文献

The effects of water-depth on the hydrodynamic force of the artificial reef were studied by simulating regular and irregular waves. The computational results show that the water-depth has a substantial effect on hydrodynamic force. The hydrodynamic force increases with the decrease of water-depth in shallow. Especially, in the ultra-shallow water these loads increase very evidently with the decrease of water-depth. The long-term values of hydrodynamic force increase with the decrease of the ratio of water-depth to reef height, and are about 10% larger than those of deep water when the ratio of water-depth to reef height is 4.0. However water-depth hardly affects the long term values of hydrodynamic force when the ratio of water-depth to reef height is larger than 6.0.  相似文献

The hydrodynamic characteristics of free variable-pitch vertical axis tidal turbine are investigated by combining experime-ntal and numerical simulations.The variations of hydrodynamics are obtained based on testing the kinematics and the dynamics of the turbine under different flow and structural conditions.Through analyzing the movement of the turbine and the characteristics of the flow field by numerical simulations,it is shown how the turbine’s performance is improved.  相似文献

Based on the method of Chapman and Yamasaki, this paper calculates the wave making hydrodynamic forces acting on a yawed ship. In order to study the effect of viscosity, this paper calculates the wave making resistance of a new ship model whose boundary is formed by adding the displacement thickness on real ship body. The comparisons between the calculated results of a Wigley model and experimental values verify the validity of the new model and the numerical methods.  相似文献

In this paper,the characteristics of hydrodyna(?) forces on a circular cylindernear a plane boundary have been studied experimentally in w(?) tunnels.The drag coefficientC_D,mean lift coefficient C_(L0),T.m.s.lift coefficient C_(L Tms),maximum lift coefficient C_(L max) andfluctuating lift coefficients C'_(L Tms),C'_(L max),and lift(vortex shedding)frequency have been mea-sured on condition that the thickness of plane boundary layer,δ,was 0.1D(D is the diameter ofthe cylinder)at the station of the centre of the cylinder,and Reynolds number,Re,varied from4.5×10~3 to 1.76×10~5.The regularity of the change of these coefficients with Re and gap ratioG/D is found.The measurement of the lift frequency shows that a strong non-linear coupling ac-tion appears when the gap ratio between the circular cylinder and plane,G/D,reaches 0.5,andthe shedding of regular vortex is suppressed when G/D=0.2.  相似文献

The reflection coefficient of perforated caissons and the total horizontal forces acting on them were experimentally and numerically analyzed and discussed when wave propagates normally. To consider the viscosity effect of fluid and nonlinear action of waves on structures, the VOF (Volume Of Fluid) method combined with the k-ε turbulence model was used to simulate the interaction between waves and structures. Governing equations were solved with the finite difference method. Through 2D experimental study in the wave flume, the empirical relationship between the reflection coefficient of perforated caissons and the main affecting factors were obtained from the experimental data using the least square method. Also the correlation between the ratio of the total horizontal force acting on perforated caisson and the force acting on solid caisson and the main affecting factors were regressed from the experimental data.  相似文献
