WTO: Global Trade Volume to Grow 13% in 2010

WTO recently released the latest global trade environment report and analyzed the varous data from Dec. 2009 to Oct. 2010, including trade situation, employment market, GDP, regional trade protocols and trade barriers. World Trade Organization forecasted that global trade volume (including goods trade and service trade) would grow 13% in 2010. The statistics show that the global export growth has exceeded the output growth. From 2000 to 2007, the world export trade rose at the pace of 6%, but dropped to 2% in 2008, even negative growth in 2009. The falling pace was 12%. Not untill July 2010, did the world trade recover the precrisis level of June 2008.     

China Weights 24% in World Textile Trade

The recent World Trade Report from the WTO stated that China now takes 24% of the world textile and garment trade. The report also said that although the withdrawal of quotas has created a fairer trade environment, there's been a slow down in some developed countries economic growth and those countries currencies have been unstable. Those factors have contributed to a small jump of 5% in the world textile and garment trade in 2005, and China's textile and garment exports increased by 21% ag…     

A New Step up,a Double-digit Reward

A detailed report on the performance of China garment exports and imports in 2005 Surfing on the waves of the RMB revaluation, the unstableness of raw material prices and the trade disagreements with the EU and US, the hardworking China garment and accessory industry got its repayment of $75.52 billion for foreign trade in 2005, hiked 19.6% against 2004. Garment and accessory exports made 73.88 billion US dollar and $1.62 billion in imports, it also achieved US 72.2 billion of trade surplus and took up more than half of the share in the entire China textile foreign trade value in 2005.

MOFCOM intends to increase the quota of textile processing trade

Recently,in order to change the weaker exports of textile and garment,the Ministry of commerce is planning to increase the quota of textile processing trade.It is understood,the enterprises which have quotas can import cotton at zero-tariff,but the general enterprise must have the processing trade orders can apply for the import quota of cotton.For many textile enterprises,overseas orders could be the key to make full use of the processing trade quotas.
