Study on Tourist Carrying Capacity Based on Matter Element Analysis

This paper proposes that it is necessary to implement the concept of tourist carrying capacity to facilitate the tourism planning, and presents a method to evaluate the carrying capacity. The method called matter element analysis can solve the uncertain and incompatible problem of the evaluated factors in assessing carrying capacity.The current state of a destination‘s carrying capacity can be determined by establishing the standard indexes and the matter element model. Through the evaluating of the travel industry zones of the Autonomous Prefecture of Western Hunan, the method is proved to be simple and feasible, and it is improved to be significant for the tourism planning and determination as well as the sustainable development of the regional tourism.     

Study on Chinese companies＇ perception on overseas public listing

This paper reports an investigation on Chinese companies＇ perception on overseas public listing. The investigation is mainly based on a questionnaire survey. The result shows that Chinese companies overwhelmingly accept overseas listing as a preferred option, which may shed some light on other Chinese companies in their evaluation on seeking overseas public listing as a strategic option to the overseas exchanges in their efforts of wooing the Chinese market.

Tax on emissions or subsidy to renewables? Evaluating the effects on the economy and on the environment

We examine the relationship between the economy and the environment in a model where production uses nonpolluting renewable and polluting nonrenewable resources. There is policy intervention through a tax on emissions and a subsidy to renewables extraction/production. Results show that both instruments are able to decrease emissions intensity of output. However, when used together, the desired effect is higher. Empirically it is shown that the subsidy achieves higher renewables intensity and although present emissions per output are similar for both instruments, the subsidy achieves lower future levels.

This paper intends to describe how to design an optimized and effective strategic information system （SIS） by using the existing resources under the new market circumstances in China. Some feasible methods are thus proposed, which are about the design of SIS by detailed analysis of the principle requirements. The paper also puts forward the architecture and configuration of SIS in China in general.     

Analysis on regional disparity of economic development in China based on DEA

The economy of China has been developing fast after the beginning of the new century, but the 31 provinces or municipalities （excluding Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao） develop disparately. So, finding an appropriate way to analyze and compare the economic situations of various regions is of great significance for the balanced development of the east coastal area and the hinterland. With the DEA method, on the basis of regionalism, this paper analyzes various regions of China, and gets the conclusion that the effective proportion of DEA of the coastal developed areas is relatively higher, and the extremely tittle foreign investment makes the relative efficiency of DEA of frontier areas pretty high. In addition, through the analysis parameters of the regions where DEA is relatively ineffective, this paper points out that the surplus labor force is the most influential factor, and the spare foreign investment is the main reason for the lack of efficiency of relatively developed regions.     

Research on Knowledge Sharing Behavior Based on Knowledge Convening and Fermenting Model

Despite of the fact that knowledge sharing has become the focus of current literature and management practice, the core process of knowledge sharing has not been identified. What are the main barriers and incentives for people to share their knowledge, what is the internal mechanism of knowledge sharing, and how people evaluate the benefit coming from knowledge sharing are the core areas in knowledge management. In this paper, we reexamine the knowledge sharing based on knowledge convening and fermenting model. After comparing the process of knowledge movement with that of biotic fermenting, several important attributes that knowledge owns are discovered, they are existence of origination, inheritance and variation, the need of assembly for knowledge evolution and medium for knowledge assemblage. Furthermore, the authors put forward a new model--knowledge convening and fermenting model and in this way consider knowledge sharing as a process of knowledge fermenting. The authors thoroughly analyze the biotic attributes of knowledge, the elements of knowledge share fermenting model, and typical knowledge share fermenting.     

Research on The Factors Affecting Profit Allocation Based on Virtual Supply Chain

Traditional profit allocation solutions cannot be effectively applied to the practice for the limitations in their premises and principles. This paper based on the practical processes of virtual supply chain performs analysis on major factors relative to cost and risk which effect the profit allocation among the partners, and then proposes the quantitative relations between the factors and profit allocation. Does the evidence on corruption depend on how it is measured? Results from a cross-country study on microdata sets

While much of the existing literature on corruption looks at the effect of corruption on macro variables such as growth rates and income distribution, this study provides a departure by focussing on victims of corruption by using microdata to compare civilian and business corruption. This study finds that businesses face a stronger incidence of bribe demands than individuals. Though there are several differences between the determinants of the two forms of bribe victimization, there are also some similarities. Policies to combat corruption need to take into account both the differences and the similarities.

Research on Corporate Governance Cost

According to the concept of corporate governance, we deduce four principles of corporate governance cost. There are （1）any cost caused by relative activities from separation between property right and management right must be reckoned in corporate governance cost; （2）cost of activities in the cross area in which governance activities or other activities cannot be distinguished should be reckoned in relative cost according with characters of the main operational activities; （3）cost caused by corporate governance activities of external ＂Stake Holder＂ also should be reckoned in corporate governance cost. After thorough analysis of the above three principles, we define corporate governance cost as the cost caused by governance activities from separation between property right and management right as well as those originated from external stakeholders. Its boundary accords with the boundary of accountant mergence report forms. We briefly offer some analysis methods of corporate governance cost and some advices of disclosure of relevant information.

This paper firstly gives a discussion on Chinese cotton market, especially from a viewpoint of history to study domestic market price fluctuation. The cotton market history from E R. China＇s setting up to present has been divided into four stages and characterized as different agricultural policies applications and economic periodicities. Concluding from the history, artificial influences may be the most important reason of market inequilibrium, up to now, market and artificial interruption, are also the key problem. Otherwise, international cotton market is greatly interacted with Chinese domestic market more and more today. Some necessary analysis, such as international cotton supply and demand, Chinese cotton stock policy and world price long run tendency, are very important factors for Chinese cotton development. Those may concern Chinese access to WTO, cotton trade quota and tariff, welfare comparison, etc., all have been discussed in the paper.
