上海市质监部门最近对在上海生产、销售的休闲服装产品质量进行专项监督抽查发现，包括ZARA、CKJEANS、NAUTICA、TeenieWeenie等多个知名品牌服装质量不合格。其中，ZARA已经是连续两年登上服装质量的“黑榜”。

Vertical Foreclosure Using Exclusivity Clauses: Evidence from Shopping Malls

Exclusive contracts are one of the most controversial topics in the economic analysis of antitrust. Yet, very few empirical papers analyze the determinants and the consequences of exclusive contracts. In this paper, I study exclusive contracts between hamburger restaurants and Israeli shopping malls, in which mall owners commit to prohibiting additional hamburger restaurants from entering their malls. I investigate the determinants of these exclusive contracts and examine how such contracts affect the number of hamburger restaurants and their sales. I show that exclusive contracts are less likely to be adopted in larger malls, in malls that face more competition from other malls, and in malls that opened before 1993, when McDonald's and Burger King entered the Israeli market. I then use the mall's opening year—before or after 1993—as an instrumental variable to estimate a negative effect of exclusive contracts on the number of restaurants and on total mall hamburger sales. My findings are generally consistent with anti‐competitive vertical foreclosure models.

基于SLP的广药配送中心区域布置研究

随着医药行业的连锁门店和经销体系的飞跃发展,以及顾客的个性化的需求,很多医药公司早期建设的仓库已不能满足现状需求,物流成为此行业拓展销售市场的决胜因素,所以几大医药公司建立了自己的大型物流配送中心。本文以广州医药有限公司的配送中心为例,通过分析该公司配送中心进行的日常运作,采用SLP方法对配送中心的各功能区域进行布置,最终从多种布置方案中选择最优方案。     

Stability in the inefficient use of forecasting systems: A case study in a supply chain company

Computer-based demand forecasting systems have been widely adopted in supply chain companies, but little research has studied how these systems are actually used in the forecasting process. We report the findings of a case study of demand forecasting in a pharmaceutical company over a 15-year period. At the start of the study, managers believed that they were making extensive use of their forecasting system that was marketed based on the accuracy of its advanced statistical methods. Yet most forecasts were obtained using the system’s facility for judgmentally overriding the automatic statistical forecasts. Carrying out the judgmental interventions involved considerable management effort as part of a sales & operations planning (S&OP) process, yet these often only served to reduce forecast accuracy. This study uses observations of the forecasting process, interviews with participants and data on the accuracy of forecasts to investigate why the managers continued to use non-normative forecasting practices for many years despite the potential economic benefits that could be achieved through change. The reasons for the longevity of these practices are examined both from the perspective of the individual forecaster and the organization as a whole.     

我国高等护理教育存在的问题与对策

我国的高等护理教育经历了一系列的改革与实践,发展规模不断壮大,为社会输送了大量的护理人才。但是无论是从社会发展的需要,还是和国外先进的护理教育体系相比,我国的高等护理教育还存在一些问题,这些问题有认识上的误区,也有实践中的偏差。正确认识和面对这些问题,有助于将高等护理教育推上新的台阶。     

Information and trade sizes: The case of short sales

In this study, we examine short selling of NASDAQ stocks and observe that more information about future returns is contained in small short sales than in medium-sized and large short sales, thus supporting the idea that NASDAQ short sellers stealth trade. These results are robust to different subsamples of stocks with and without tradable options and stocks that are more likely to face binding borrowing constraints. Further, these findings are contrary to the results in Boehmer, Jones, and Zhang (2008) who find that large NYSE short sales contain the most information. Combined, our study supports the idea that NASDAQ's bid test is less restricting than the NYSE's uptick rule and therefore attenuates the likelihood of stealth trading (Diether, Lee, & Werner, 2009a).
