创新资源的有限性是制约企业进行商业模式创新的重要因素,虽然资源拼凑被认为是突破企业资源限制的有效途径,但资源拼凑与商业模式创新间的影响机制尚不明确。通过引入即兴能力作为中介变量、环境动态性作为调节变量,构建有调节的中介效应模型,依此分析资源拼凑对商业模式创新的影响。研究结果表明:资源拼凑对即兴能力和商业模式创新存在显著的正向影响,即兴能力在资源拼凑和商业模式创新之间起中介作用,环境动态性在即兴能力与商业模式创新之间起正向调节作用,同时调节了即兴能力在资源拼凑与商业模式创新之间的中介作用。因此,企业应注重"拼凑"思维的培养,着力开发资源的多种用途,并对其进行创造性重组;企业应进一步提升自身的即兴能力,以促进企业"创造性"的提升。  相似文献

This study uses an electronic commerce (E-commerce) innovation model to analyze the differences in technological knowledge, business model, and dynamic capability aspects used in Internet-enabled commerce (I-commerce) versus mobile commerce (M-commerce) versus ubiquitous commerce (U-commerce). The results indicate that the innovation from I-commerce to M-commerce is radical, leading to drastic changes in the business model. However, from M-commerce to U-commerce, disruptive changes occur in both technological and business model dimensions. A set of critical dynamic capabilities for each innovation is identified. These results provide great insight for practitioners and scholars for enhancing their understanding of E-commerce innovation, and provide guidelines to help practitioners adapt from one type of innovation to another.  相似文献

Although research into the business model has received increasing attention, few studies have so far been conducted on business model innovation in an international context. The purpose of the study is to identify different patterns of business model innovation which enables international retailers to rebuild their core business logic in new host countries. On the basis of comparing and contrasting the business model changes of 15 international retailers from various home countries to one single host country (China), our study provides an in-depth understanding of business model innovation in the context of international business. By looking at the firms’ capabilities in rebuilding their core logic in the setting of a host country, we reveal six routes of retail business model innovation. Utilizing the lens of organizational learning theory and internationalization, we identify three patterns of resource deployment by international companies in the process of developing business model innovations. Our study, therefore, provides insights and guidance for multinational companies in general, international retailers in particular, as for how to successfully adapt their business model from home country to host country.  相似文献

While innovation has become a pervasive term, many of today’s organizations still find innovation elusive. One reason may be that much of what is being said about innovation contributes to misunderstanding. To truly manifest innovation and reap its benefits, one must recognize that innovation is three different things: innovation is an outcome, innovation is a process, and innovation is a mindset. Innovation as an outcome emphasizes what output is sought, including product innovation, process innovation, marketing innovation, business model innovation, supply chain innovation, and organizational innovation. Innovation as a process attends to the way in which innovation should be organized so that outcomes can come to fruition; this includes an overall innovation process and a new product development process. Innovation as a mindset addresses the internalization of innovation by individual members of the organization where innovation is instilled and ingrained along with the creation of a supportive organizational culture that allows innovation to flourish. Such an understanding defines necessary elements, considerations, and vernacular surrounding the term so that better decisions can be made, thereby enabling innovation and having a greater propensity to succeed.  相似文献

Despite an impressive amount of research, the innovation literature may be characterized as fragmented with little cross‐fertilization and synthesis of findings across levels. Based on a review of conceptual and empirical work on innovation, we present a cross‐level theory that aims to clarify terminology in the innovation process and highlight key concepts and themes that have emerged in innovation research across levels of analysis. We model innovation, offer specific research propositions derived from the model, and identify directions for future research both within and across levels of analysis. Overall, this research responds to the need for greater cross‐level theory building on innovation and a more inclusive consideration of various social and contextual influences in the innovation process. Using an original questionnaire survey, this paper explores whether and how founders' human capital affects the innovation outcomes of start‐ups. We found that founders with greater human capital are more likely to yield innovation outcomes. Because certain types of human capital may boost research and development (R&D) investment, which possibly results in innovation outcomes, we estimate the determinants of innovation outcomes by an instrumental variable probit model. Our findings suggest that specific human capital for innovation, such as prior innovation experience, is directly associated with innovation outcomes, whereas generic human capital, such as educational background, indirectly affects innovation outcomes through R&D investment.  相似文献
