Yen-synchronization of floating East Asian currencies: A regime-switching regression model and micro-structural analysis

Using a regime-switching regression model, we find evidence of synchronization between the Swiss-franc exchange rates of floating East Asian currencies and the Swiss-franc–Japanese-yen exchange rate over the period 1999–2006. The volatility of Swiss-franc–East-Asian currencies’ exchange rates is higher during the synchronization period than during the de-synchronization period. Contrary to traditional arguments concerning the yen-bloc, we find that the Export-Similarity Index and Foreign Portfolio Investment between Japan and East Asian countries are the two main determinants of yen-synchronization in the region. Finally, micro-structural analysis shows that the weeks of synchronization is greater when the yen is strong for Korea and Taiwan, but there are no asymmetric responses for Thailand, Indonesia, or the Philippines.

中欧能源合作始于20世纪80年代初期，1994年中欧能源合作大会的创设和2006年中欧高层能源对话的正式启动，从制度层面上有力地推动了中欧能源合作进程。迄今为止，能源合作成为加强和发展中欧经贸关系发展的重要因素，双方已在政策层面、双边合作、多边渠道等能源交流方面形成了各种有效、长期和战咯性的能源舍作网络化机制。依托这些机制，中欧能源合作从技术咨询、培训、人员交流向技术合作和联合研究方向发展，逐步推动了中欧能源政策对话和能源机构的制度化建设。

预约定价作为调整跨国公司转移定价的新制度体现了税收效率原则,但这一制度是否同样体现了税收公平原则值得认真研究。本文通过对预约定价与税收公平原则相互关系的剖析,重点考察了预约定价影响税收公平原则的若干因素,并结合我国预约定价的实践,得出了相应的结论。

对国际多式联运的网状责任制原则与多式联运经营人的赔偿责任限制进行了理论综述,指出网状责任制的最大弊端和实践中国际货运市场供求关系决定责任归属的现状.通过尝试从企业实践中另辟蹊径,提出了货运单据和科技创新设备在划分各关系方责任方面的实际作用.     

面向就业的创业教育模式优化路径探析——基于高职院校创业教育的过程调研

依托高职院校创业教育实践过程开展研究,通过焦点组访谈和大样本调研并借助结构方程模型(Structural Equation Modeling,SEM),在创业教育的时间自主性、地点仿真性和学生对创业教育的就业价值认知及其参与创业教育意愿等方面建立多元回归模型,根据对创业教育过程数据的监测分析,为高职院校面向就业的创业教育模式调整实施提供依据。     

Improving Financial Performance with Hedging Via Forwards for Electric Power Generation Companies

In order to improve the financial performance of electric power generation companies, we show how additional on-peak forwards can be exploited to hedge against the risk exposure of nonpeak physical power, taking advantage of the competitive market outside the regulated service territory. Specifically, we model the evolution of the forward price as a geometric Brownian motion (GBM) process without drift and show how the optimal amount of additional on-peak forwards can be determined under the mean minus variance criterion via simulation. Furthermore, we show how the simulation approach and the analytical results may lead to a robust decision-making process.
