中国目前静态的期货保证金水平只是一个经验数字,对价格波动并不敏感,大部分时间投资者资金被过度占用,当市场波动剧烈时又不能覆盖足够的风险。本文研究了基于非正态分布下黄金期货保证金水平,利用广义极值分布和广义帕累托分布来拟合尾部风险。结果显示:黄金期货存在尖峰厚尾现象,在考虑流动性风险后,现有的保证金水平有下调空间,应设定为4.38%,当风险加大时应提高到5.15%。 相似文献

I study how credit and default affect optimal health insurance, constructing a life-cycle model of health investment with a strategic default option on emergency room bills and financial debts. The model is calibrated to the U.S. economy and used to compare the optimal policy for Medicaid by the availability of the default option and credit. I find that strategic default induces the optimal policy to be more redistributive. With (Without) the option, the optimal income threshold for Medicaid eligibility is 44% (25%) of the average income. In these findings, the interaction between strategic default and preventative medical spending is important. 相似文献

Merger and acquisition (M&A) has been viewed as an efficient strategy for firm growth because M&As allow firms to quickly achieve their ideal size. However, whether consistent growth can be maintained after an M&A is questionable because post-M&A integration is a difficult process. In order to identify whether M&A is really an effective tool for producing consistent growth in restaurant firms, this study examined post-M&A firm growth in comparison to non-M&A firm growth. Using financial data from 1980 to 2007, this study analyzed the sales growth of restaurant firms up to five years after an M&A. This study found that post-M&A growth patterns varied across firm sizes and time periods (from one to five years after an M&A). This study also revealed that both small and large acquirers experienced positive sales growth in the year following M&A. However, this positive effect completely disappeared during or after the third year post-M&A. M&A firms showed the same growth patterns as non-M&A firms three to five years after an M&A. This study provides useful post-M&A growth information regarding restaurant firms, which can be practically useful for firms considering M&A. 相似文献

The effects of energy prices and energy conservation on economic growth have been examined empirically for the postwar U.S. economy. A vector autoregressive model includes real GDP, real capital, labor, real energy prices, and the Divisia energy index. A key feature of our finding is that some damaging effects of energy conservation on the macroeconomy are statistically insignificant in the short run, and the insignificant short-run effects are quickly enervated over time. Alternative measures of energy use also suggest that energy conservation has no significant impact on real output growth. The findings are generally consistent with the neoclassical position that real economic growth of the United States is neutral with respect to changes in energy use. This study aimed to develop a framework and measurement items for retailers to assess sustainability while avoiding potential subjectivity by combining top‐down and bottom‐up approaches, and verifying their validity based on consumer perceptions of sustainable retailing. The framework consisted of 54 measurement items categorized into a three‐order hierarchical model. At the top level of the model, there were three third‐order dimensions respectively related to consumers, retailers, and society. At the middle level, eight second‐order sub‐dimensions associated with retailing mix were classified into the aforementioned third‐order dimensions. At the bottom level, there were 21 first‐order sub‐dimensions related to the sustainable retailing activities. The development of sustainability assessment by combining top‐down and bottom‐up approaches and including consumer perceptions will allow retailers to assess their sustainability more strategically, as it will reduce the subjectivity and increase consumers' recognition of sustainable retailing. Estimates on philanthropic giving are one of the major topics within nonprofit studies globally. South Korea has engaged in measuring philanthropic behaviors and attitudes since the early 2000s, however, little is known about the validity of the measures that are used to collect giving and volunteering data. This study aims to investigate the methodological matters of the empirical philanthropy datasets in South Korea. A total of nine datasets were identified that measure philanthropic behaviors and attitudes in South Korea. Among the nine datasets, six were used to analyze the methodological matters for the purposes of this study. This article discusses the challenges associated with research methods including definitional challenges, instrument design issues, and other research methodological issues on the identified philanthropic giving datasets in South Korea. Results of this study suggest insights for improving measures of charitable giving and volunteering in South Korea. The findings are significant because differences in approaches to measuring donation behavior produce substantial differences in reported estimates. 相似文献
