经济全球化背景下推行企业社会责任有其积极的意义,也是跨国经营企业应当遵守的义务,但可能成为发达国家实施贸易壁垒的新借口。中国企业在参与全球化进程中,应认真履行应承担的社会责任,同时坚决反对发达国家据此推行的贸易壁垒,切实维护国家利益和企业利益。     

Employee testing: An ethical perspective

This paper deals with the conflict between the desire of an employer to test employees for honesty and chemical dependency, and the right of the employee to privacy. Not only is the physical privacy of the employee infringed upon, but the psychic privacy of the individual as well. It is the conclusion of the paper that such an invasion of privacy is not justified without serious and compelling reason, and not the mere chance that testing will reveal problems among some percentage of the tested persons. Dan Davidson is Professor of Business Law at Radford University in Virginia. He has five teaching awards, including Razorback Outstanding Business Faculty Award, University of Arkansas. He is the author of four textbooks published by Kent Publishing Co., and his articles have been published in the Education Forum, Journal of Insurance Issues and Practices, and the Business Law Review, among others.     

The business-to-business relationship dimensions in financial services markets

This paper discusses the nature of financial business relationships by drawing on the IMP Group’s theory of industrial relationships. It discusses, among other aspects, the interaction process between banks and their corporate clients, the longevity of relationships, the interdependence between both sides, and the atmosphere of financial services relationships. The conclusions are thought to be interesting and useful for the managers of firms and financial services when setting relationship marketing policies and for academic research on business-to-business services relationships. The field research was done in Portugal and the case method was used.

Toward an Analytical Structure for Evaluating the Ethical Content of Decisions by Advertising Professionals

This article proposes a model for conceptualizing advertising ethics theory based on a distinction between philosophical and occupational ethical systems and the assumption that the fundamental goal of occupational ethics is to address the imbalance of power between the practitioner group and the community or communities they serve through practices that cultivate a relationship of trust. An analytical model is proposed as the basis for future empirical research to test and clarify the suggested relationships. It is suggested that a more refined theoretical meta-model could provide a common framework within which research in specific advertising ethics issues might be revisited.

广东省制造业全要素生产率的实证研究

本文运用基于数据包络分析(DEA)模型的曼奎斯特(Malmquist)生产力指数,以广东省制造业内资企业、外资企业2002~2007年的面板数据为研究对象,测算并分析了各行业的全要素生产率(TFP)。结果表明,在样本期内内外资制造业TFP均提高,内资部门的TFP增长速度更快,主要原因是技术水平的提高。说明广东通过引进外资促进了制造业的发展。
