A structural compendium on service quality and customer satisfaction: A survey of banks in India

ABSTRACT

The core aim of the research is to measure and analyze the quality of services offered by the top three public- and private-sector banks in India and to attempt to know how bank services quality affects customer satisfaction. By administering both questionnaires and personal interviews, researchers garnered the opinions of a total of 600 respondents with BANKQUAL statement. The authors applied Cronbach’s alpha to test reliability and the selected hypotheses have been proven with Chi-square tests and t-tests. All the public-sector banks chosen for the study lead in the satisfaction index over the private-sector banks by demonstrating differences in the dimensions of credibility, influence, and geographic spread. The research is most precious to diverse stakeholders of the Indian banking industry, particularly to banks who want to know about their existing service quality for further improvement. For the first time, the researchers introduced the comprehensive BANKQUAL statement to test out the quality of bank services in India.     

我国探望权主体扩大化的法律思考

我国现有法律对探望权主体规定过于狭窄,本文认为父母、祖父母、外祖父母、兄弟姐妹及子女在较长时间内受其家庭养育的人都可以成为探望权的主体;应当从保护子女利益的前提下,对探望权主体的权利行使进行适当限制;未成年子女不能作为探望权的主体.     

高校考试管理模式改革探索

高等学校的考试是检验高校教学效果和人才培养质量的一个重要手段,高校考试管理工作是高校教务管理的一项重要内容.受到传统考试观念和考试管理模式一些弊端的影响,考试不能完全发挥其效能,阻碍了高校人才培养质量的提高.因此,要加强高校考试管理工作的力度,完善考试的管理措施,积极探索管理的新途径、新方法,以促进高校良好学风的形成,提高我国高等学校教育质量,促进高等教育的发展.     

A disequilibrium model of real wages,employment and unemployment for the U.S.A. during 1930–1965

The well known Lucas-Rapping (1969, 1970) U.S. Labour market model has been estimated with a simple disequilibrium estimation method. Neither the wage rate nor the employment level are found to adjust to clear the labour market within the unit time period. The elasticity of labour supply in the short run is found to be high which is consistent with the recent theories of real business cycle. Adjustment in employment towards equilibrium is faster than the adjustment in the wages. The rate of unemployment is satisfactorily explained by the excess supply rate without the need for the lagged unemployment rate. Thus our unemployment equation is superior to the Lucas-Rapping equation based on the equilibrium framework.I am grateful Professors J. W. Nevile, V. K. Observational equivalence of the overlapping generations and the discounted dynamic programming frameworks for one-sector growth

Two alternative frameworks for one-sector growth are considered: an overlapping generations model with two-period lived, strictly selfish agents and a discounted dynamic programming model with infinitely lived agents. It is shown that under certain assumptions the two models are observationally equivalent, i.e., generate identical timepaths for all aggregate variables. One of the key assumptions is that the steady-state real interest rate in the overlapping generations model be strictly greater than the growth rate. The result is proved for the deterministic case and extension to a stochastic case is indicated.

Managing diversity: Impact of religion in the Indian workplace

Religious diversity in India stems from centuries of foreign traders and invaders ranging from the Mongols to the Mughals, French and British who came with their faiths. Religious diversity has created much political conflict and bloodshed in society at large (e.g. the recent blasts in Mumbai), but many differences have been reconciled in the workplace over time. MNCs seeking to engage in the Indian economy are attracted by the intellectual capital of this diverse nation. I examine the presence of religion in the Indian workplace through cultural values, beliefs and management practices and their impact on IHRM practices in managing diversity.
