Institutional environment influences the perceptions of desirability and feasibility, society’s social and cultural environment,
such as beliefs, values and attitudes, conditions behaviour and decisions made by individuals. This research evaluates the
influence of institutional environment on entrepreneurial intention using a comparative analysis of different attitudes among
university students in two countries: Portugal and Spain. In particular, this study aims to examine the perceptions of desirability,
feasibility and intention toward the creation of one’s own business and how that variables influence the entrepreneurial intention
as compared these two different institutional contexts. Results revealed difference among attitudes toward entrepreneurship
in both countries. With respect to the perception of feasibility, the majority of students in Extremadura (Spain) consider
that it is easier to create a business in nowadays than it was several decades ago. However, from the students of Beira Interior
(Portugal) consider that it is more difficult. Furthermore, in Extremadura, the entrepreneurial intention is higher than in

In a stratified sample, when sampling is done with replacement in each stratum a better estimate of the population mean can be achieved by considering the distinct units only. An explicit expression for the variance for the mean, of a stratified sample based on the distinct units only, is obtained. Then the optimum allocation for the different stratum are obtained by minimizing this variance subject to (i) total sample size being fixed, or (ii) the expected number of distinct units being fixed. Neyman’s solutions are obtained as special cases. The solutions finally arrived at are algebraically complex, hence, numerical methods are applied. In all examples, the variance of the estimates obtained by this method are smaller than the variances obtained by Neyman’s allocation. An analytical framework for practitioners and researchers to use in managing emerging human resource issues is presented. It integrates strategic human resource development activities with the external competitive, public issue environment and the internal needs of organizations. Over two thousand articles were reviewed and grouped to determine the emerging categories of human resource issues demanding attention. Strategic issues management includes issues identification, issue analysis, strategic formulation, and strategy implementation. The HRD professional can use the issue life cycle model as a conceptual framework for strategic issues management to improve HRD effectiveness in the coming years. The framework suggests a need for close cooperation between traditionally externally oriented departments, like public affairs, and the human resources department. 相似文献

We review a family of modified autoregressive models in both discrete‐ and continuous‐time formulations. We present the case for these models by showing first how a standard discrete‐time autoregressive model with orders selected by criteria such as the Akaike information criterion can fail to identify the correct periods of cyclical variations in a simulated example. We then show how the modified models can overcome this failure, and further illustrate this success with a real example of an unemployment series. A new extension of the continuous‐time modified model to multivariate series is described. This is applied to a pair of series with mixed monthly, quarterly and annual sampling intervals. The profitability of European banks during the 1990s is investigated using cross‐sectional, pooled cross‐sectional time‐series and dynamic panel models. Models for the determinants of profitability incorporate size, diversification, risk and ownership type, as well as dynamic effects. Despite intensifying competition there is significant persistence of abnormal profit from year to year. The evidence for any consistent or systematic size–profitability relationship is relatively weak. The relationship between the importance of off‐balance‐sheet business in a bank's portfolio and profitability is positive for the UK, but either neutral or negative elsewhere.
