AbstractFirms strive to innovate and enhance their competitive advantage. However, firm innovation relies on employee willingness to innovate. Therefore, how job satisfaction motivates employees to innovate has become a crucial topic. Additionally, for firms implementing a downsizing strategy to achieve a competitive edge, employee perception of downsizing may moderate the effect of employee job satisfaction on innovation commitment. To investigate the relationships between critical variables and employee innovation, we studied 277 nonsupervisory employees and three groups of stakeholders in a company and employed quantitative and qualitative methods to examine our research construct. The results revealed that job satisfaction regarding direct supervisors, pressure at work, peer relations, support of family, and health substantially affected employee innovation commitment. Employee perception of responsible downsizing strategy altered the influence of these factors. The findings of this research construct can guide organizational research and managerial practices. 相似文献

Based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, this study develops a five-factor casino-induced satisfaction-of-needs scale and examines its relationship with casino customer loyalty using Macau as a study context. The findings show that the respondents’ most visited casinos had only marginally met the respondents’ various inner needs; there is still ample room for Macau casinos to improve the level of their customers’ satisfaction regarding customers’ inner needs. Among the five types of inner needs, self-actualization appears to be one need that requires more attention than the others because it was rated as the need that was the least satisfied but contributed the second most to measuring satisfaction. Additionally, Macau casinos should continue their efforts to improve and maintain a safe and secure casino environment, coupled with providing a variety of quality foods and beverages, for their customers. Lastly, safety and security, self-actualization and physiological needs were found to positively affect casino customer loyalty. 相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to present an integrated approach and scientific techniques for corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs selection decisions and costs evaluation in the hotel industry. First, experts are chosen to conduct the analytic structure construction for CSR programs selection by identifying cost and differentiation advantage criteria and CSR program candidates that can benefit society and competitive advantage for hotels. Second, the DEMATEL (Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) method is used to detect complex relationships and build a network structure among the cost and differentiation advantage criteria. Third, the ANP (Analytic Network Process) is used where the criteria are dependent. Fourth, the ANP results are applied to ZOGP (Zero–One Goal Programming) formulation to find the optimal CSR program portfolio under limited resources and constrained situations. Finally, ABC (Activity-Based Costing) model is used to calculate each chosen CSR program's costs in order to acquire accurate cost information. The result shows that the improvement on the image of an organization is the major dispatch for driving the international tourist hotel to fulfill CSR goals. In this paper, we propose a hidden Markov switching moving average model (MS-MA model) to extend the moving average model when the dynamic process of stock returns is predictable. That is, hidden Markov chain can be utilized to better describe the stock return dynamics when moving averages are correlated. Based on the MS-MA model, a recursive method of EM algorithm for parameter estimation is proposed and a numerical analysis is demonstrated. Furthermore, we empirically test the hidden Markov chain model using Dow Jones thirty stocks' data. The empirical results show that the dynamic process of stock returns exhibits MS-MA property, meaning the moving averages of stock returns are correlated. Therefore, the MS-MA model allows us to better understand and to predict stock return stochastic process. This model also helps in pricing equity derivatives. 相似文献

This study explores the reasons why an exhibitor participates in a travel exhibition and assesses this marketing strategy. A total of 15 representative exhibitors who participated in the Taipei International Travel Fair were interviewed between January and July 2016. The results of the analysis indicated that exhibitors’ selection of a travel exhibition was based on the exhibition’s performance and condition. The primary purposes for participating in a travel exhibition were to enhance the firm’s reputation and sales. The exhibitors’ marketing strategies primarily involved on-site promotional activity and relevant five-sense experiences. An assessment of exhibitors’ participation factors and marketing strategies can both help firms implement their goals and enable organizers to create sustainable exhibitions. This study determines that cognitive image and affective image have various mediation roles between the environmental marketing strategy and behavioural intentions. By utilizing an online survey for data collection, a total of 280 complete responses were obtained. The results reveal that the different corporate images perceived by customers would result in various behavioural intentions. In particular, Cognitive image plays a mediating role between environmental marketing strategy and the revisit intension while environmental marketing strategy benefits the willingness to pay a premium through cognitive image. 相似文献

This study aims to provide a case study that improves the effectiveness of the macro segmentation approach. Generalized linear interactive model is applied to link macro indicators with customer consumption under the assumption of competition. The empirical portion of this study segments the air freight market of Taiwanese high-tech industry. Five segmentation variables are identified and examined using 511 air shipment contracts collected from 151 high-tech manufacturers. The study results conclude that market classification between forwarder and express is less clearly defined due to carriers' service enlargements and customers' changing needs. Shipment destination and size may still serve as effective market classifications to divide air freight market into twelve segments, whereas time in transit, shipment frequency, and product status, have lost their validation in segmenting the market. The segmentation examinations may help air carrier industry understand customer defection and attrition and provide strategic insights for targeting segments and positioning service strategies. 相似文献

This study explored the factors that determine the tourism attractiveness of a seniors-friendly destination drawing upon an expert panel. A list of 20 destination-specific attributes was generated through a literature review and was then classified, using the ‘4 As’ of tourism destination management practice: Attractions, Access, Amenities, and Ancillary Services. The results identified the essential components of a seniors-friendly tourism destination as barrier-free public transportation facilities, barrier-free accommodation facilities, variety of seniors-only accommodation options, barrier-free facilities along customized travel routes, and variety of public transport options. While accessibility and amenities constitute important and/or essential experiential components in a seniors-friendly destination, complementary services and tourism resources also contribute to tourism attractiveness. It is concluded that the ability of a destination to accommodate the special needs of senior travellers could be further enhanced by extending the availability and variety of both lodging- and transport-related barrier-free facilities and services. From a scholarly perspective, the study reinforces the need to address the desire amongst seniors in general for a sense of freedom and mobility, and the reality that a substantial subgroup have needs that merit special provision. 相似文献

Sustainable development is a key issue for society. Beside corporate's efforts, consumers should have responsibilities for environmental protection and consider sustainable coexistences between future generations and natural ecosystems. In this study, a 4 × 2 factorial between‐subject experiment is adopted to develop eight environmental policy disclosure scenarios based on different environmental advertising claims (product orientation, process orientation, image orientation, and environmental fact) and eco‐labels (available/unavailable) to explore the effect of consumer attitudes and behaviors. This study's results show that environmental advertising claims have significant effects on consumers' attitudes. The product, process, and image orientation advertising, along with advertising with eco‐labels, can induce more positive attitudes and stronger purchase intentions. Individuals with greater environmental concerns have a significant positive attitude toward environmental advertising. Consumer attitudes toward environmental advertising also have positive effects on purchase intentions and sustainable consumption behaviors. Finally, this study offers useful findings, practical implications, and insights. 相似文献
