Network Marketing Businesses and Chinese Ethnicity Immigrants in Australia

This study adopts two theoretical perspectives, Social Cognitive Theory and Theory of Planned Behavior, to examine a model of network marketing business participation by Chinese immigrants in Australia. A structural equations modeling analysis showed that the social environment within a network marketing organization positively influences the self‐efficacy of Chinese network marketers and their desire to seek opportunities. These factors positively influence the actions undertaken by network marketers, and subsequently, impact positively on their performance outcome.     

Strategic Flexibility in New High‐Technology Ventures

Strategic flexibility is a vital capability for new ventures to update their strategies in a timely manner. However, the role of external knowledge sources in new ventures’ endeavours to develop strategic flexibility are unclear. Drawing on the knowledge‐based and relational views, we explore the effect of two sources of external knowledge: new product development (NPD) alliances, representing tightly coupled sources, and loosely coupled sources such as industry associations. Our field study of 148 high‐tech ventures found that the extent to which firms utilize knowledge from NPD alliances has a curvilinear relationship with strategic flexibility, whereas the extent to which firms utilize loosely coupled sources has a positive linear relationship with strategic flexibility. We also found that in new ventures, decentralization of decision‐making and institutional support enhance knowledge integration, positively moderating these relationships.

网络外部性与网上银行的定价策略

文章首先介绍了网络外部性的理论渊源,然后探讨了网络外部性的内涵和分类,其次阐述了网上银行的定价策略,再次从直接和间接网络外部性的角度,提出了两个模型,解释网上银行定价策略的原因,最后给出了结论。     

废旧有机纤维制备活性炭纤维的性能研究

以CO2和H2O作为活化剂，利用废旧有机纤维来制备活性炭纤维，对制备的活性炭纤维的性能进行研究。通过收率和吸附量的测试选出一种较好的原料；利用XRD、IR和SEM，描述了较好原料制备的活性炭纤维晶体结构、基团组成和表面形貌，并以某厂家生产的活性炭纤维为标样，进行了比较。利用废弃物可成功制备活性炭纤维，节省了原料成本。

在全球化竞争的情况下,中国的企业要想在竞争中占有一席之地,并在行业中处于领导地位,就必须重视影响企业长远发展的企业文化,以实现企业战略目标。文章对企业文化与企业核心竞争力的概念和两者之间的关系进行了论述。最后就如何利用核心竞争力理论,来指导企业文化建设,实施基于核心竞争力的企业文化建设策略进行了探讨。

科技自主创新生态群落模式及对策研究

运用生态学的基本原理对科技自主创新的生态群落模式进行研究,在分析科技自主创新生态链的基础上,研究了科技自主创新群落的运行机理,提出了科技自主创新生态群落的设计思路和方法,最后结合汽车产业的特点进行了案例分析。     

A Law and Finance Analysis of Hedge Funds

This paper empirically analyzes the impact of hedge fund regulation on fund structure and performance. The data indicate restrictions on the location of key service providers and permissible distributions via wrappers are associated with lower fund alphas, lower average monthly returns, and higher fixed fees. Furthermore, restrictions on the location of key service providers are associated with lower manipulation-proof performance measures, while wrapper distributions are associated with lower performance fees. As well, the data show standard deviations of monthly returns are lower among jurisdictions with restrictions on the location of key service providers and higher minimum capitalization requirements.
