The authors provide a simple test of supply-side economics by estimating the responsiveness of moonlighting labour supply to changes in the marginal tax rate and the wage rate. While standard theory teachers that changes in taxes and wage should have opposite and equal effects on labour supply, taxes affect the entire asset position of the household. In the short run, an adjustment of hours in the second job may be the only option available to an individual in responding to a tax change. Thus, analyses based on after-tax wages may understate supply-side effects. To estimate these effects a tobit procedure is employed. The empirical results suggest a backward-bending supply curve over thet range of moonlighting hours. Marketing’s evolution toward a new dominant logic requires the focus of marketing to be on the intangible, dynamic, operant
resources that are at the heart of competitive advantage and performance. First, building on resource-advantage theory’s notion
of basic resources and higher-order resources, this article proposes a hierarchy of basic, composite, and interconnected operant
resources. Second, reviewing research on business strategy and marketing strategy, several resources that correspond to the
proposed hierarchy are identified and discussed. Third, the notion of developing masterful operant resources is introduced.
Fourth, based on the proposed hierarchy and the notion of masterful operant resources, some exemplars of potential research
avenues for marketing strategy are provided. Finally, the article concludes with the discussion of implications for marketing
practitioners, researchers, and educators. In sum, this article extends and elaborates the concept of operant resources in

This study examines the extent of compliance with accounting disclosure requirements relating to provisions for decommissioning costs by oil and gas companies. We also investigate the views of stakeholders on the reporting practices of these companies. Using a content analysis approach, our findings reveal that compliance is substantially high, but companies tend to take a tick-box approach providing only minimum disclosure requirements. In semi-structured interviews, we find that disclosure decisions were driven by concerns about the credibility of information due to complexities in the accounting processes, regulatory requirements, lack of information demand and proprietary costs. Abstract The subject organization of this article is the government employment agency in Sweden. The agency is a key component of the national labour market focusing specifically on placing the unemployed and job-seekers in work. The agency also administers the processes of providing benefits to the unemployed. We describe the agency, its work and some of its special features and its workforce. We discuss how these features impact on organizational climate and performance. We outline the characteristics of a cadre organization, and particularly how features of this type of organization influence workplace climate. We discuss the ways in which workplace climate contributes to workplace performance. Finally, we review two empirical studies of the agency and its workforce and use data from these studies to augment our discussions. The agency is a real-life organization managing real world issues.
